My buddy has this exact gun and the best he could get was 35grain slugs @985fps and he was shooting half inch groups at 100 yards then accuracy took a dump on him and he lost interest. I’m hoping he just had a lemon.
The only thing holding me back from buying this gun is lack of power!! Hopefully you can prove me wrong! I’ll absolutely buy if this gun is able to send 40grain close to 1000fps other wise I’ll probably buy another Vulcan.
Ps. I should include my buddy’s gun is a .25!

Hey there -- looking fwd to seeing the upcoming video re: hopping up the U2 to go over 1000 fps with heavy ammo. I already own a V3 in .22 - but it's the smaller 500mm. I really like it but am looking for something with a little more "ooomph". Obviously the V3 in 700 can provide more than enough "ooomph" but from what I've read on AGN and other forums - the U2 is noticeably lighter in overall weight? Can you confirm this? I'm really not looking at running much more than low to middle 30's weight slugs - ZAN's, H&N's, NSA's - whatever works. If the U2 is in fact lighter in weight ( I tend to do more walk and stalk vs. camped on a table or shooting bench ) then I'm all for it. I do want (prefer) efficiency - ie; at least 40 shots per fill.

Not noticeable on weight I just weighed both were 5.1 kg with their scopes.
If you are running light slugs you don't need as much air to push those to high velocity so by reducing the reg pressure you will increase shot count, and high fps with lighter slugs

It would be great to know how many bar the regulator is set at.
I have a regulator tester & could set the bar pressure correctly first time without keep dismantling the gun & adjusting a quarter turn at a time.
for those folks who don't have a regulator tester this would be the best way to do you can also always shoot until you see a big drop off then you will know what the reg pressure is

So each quarter turn I made added 35 bar to the reg pressure inside the plenum

I now have a Vulcan 3.
Be interested to know the final reg pressure when you tuned it for those 45g slugs.
What size screw was threaded i to the regulator to pull it

Hi Jeremy - great video thank you. I made a slight adjustment to reg - now the air is leaking from the barrell. Everything went back just as I took it out - do you know what could have gone wrong? I haven't touched anything else. And only made a 1/8 turn adjustment on the reg. Thank you - keep up the good work.
The reg pressure may now be to low so the Plenum pressure is very low this will cause the air to leak out try increasing the regulator pressure
Hi sir sorry to bother you..planing to buy vulcan3 700 are uragan 2 700 ..my friend bought v3 700mm power accurate everything is ok. But I didn't like the build quality of v3 and I don't know about uragan quality..is it same as v3 are better than that..

Vulcan 3 has the bigger plenum the Uragan 2 uses a assisted valve the Vulcan 3 uses a traditional knock open valve both are great rifle but the Vulcan is cheaper I have both and like them about the same sorry
Salam, I don't understand the installation of two thick diameter screw type in the plenum, whether they may minimize plenum space and hence power to produce immense fps at 40 grain slugs , please explain in a easy way , this is first time I saw such modification .I am anxiously awaiting reply .
The Depingers are only to eliminate the twang that the rifle makes when you fire the gun it doesn't affect the verlocity

In the manual is written that you cannot increase the velocity by turning the screw nr 124 Hammer spring adjuster (does not serve as a power adjustment element!) Strange this and the only wat to increase the power is turning the regulator??? Isn't it common for the hammer spring tension to be adjusted in balance with the regulator pressure??
If you are running High reg pressures you have to increase hammer strike or you will end up having valve lock even on a assisted valve design

Vulcan can be tuned to more power than Uragan

So i have a U2 compact .22 that came from dealer with a power tune. Shooting 18gr at 870 and 15 grain at 940s. Im assuming the reg came to me adjusted higher...to get those FPS. but im not sure where its set at currently at those speeds nor do i know what reg setting a U2 comes from the factory with. Heard 120 or 105 in the compact.22 anyone confirm this? I want to turn the speeds back down for when i got to shoot at my buddies house cus at that speed it barks quite a bit and his neighbors cry. Just trying to see if there was a marking from factory where its set? so i know what to turn it back down to.
There is no marking but a quarter turn on the reg is 35 bar increase or decrease
@@AfricanAirOrdnance ok awesome thanks. I can at least get an idea of how far I'm turning it. I'm guessing mine was cranked up a bit to get those higher Speeds on heavy pellets. was trying to guess where mine came set. maybe 140 I'd guess.
@@AfricanAirOrdnance Ok thanks! Now I just have to figure out this hammer spring situation. It seems like these Uragan 2 the hammer spring does not do a whole lot. Like normally you set the reg at x bar and back the hammer out and slowly turn it in until velocity increases and levels off. No matter how much I turn it in it seems to only raise the speed by maybe 10 fps max. Very different than any other gun for some reason and hard to get any indicators of where the best/ most efficient position is.

May not like slugs, or that brand..may need to go with some pellets or try the H&N slugs ...
absolutely but as I stated in the beginning the of the video is not about accuracy its about seeing how to adjust the reg and seeing what results would be as far as velocity once the velocity is where I want it I will focus on finding the rite slug or pellet for that velocity

The second they do away with this ridiculous procedure to adjust the reg (and ADD A FRICKEN REG GAUGE) .... I'm 100% buying an AGT. But not until they fix these 2 major design flaws. Otherwise they are great performers!
Really instant that much of a headache actually helps you to get to know the rifle and makes you a bit more independent when it comes to servicing the rifle so when you have to replace a Oring you don't have the expense of sending the rifle off to have a Oring replaced you can simply do it your self
@@AfricanAirOrdnance I respectfully but totally disagree. To me that just sounds like a lot of mental gymnastics to try and justify not having an externally adjustable regulator. On a high end airgun it's just straight up unacceptable. Also unacceptable is not having a operating pressure gauge, which is absolutely critical.
It's a shame, cause I really want one of these. I've seen dudes do amazing stuff with the U2 and the Vulcan 3, but I'll never buy one unless they improve the design.
I make comments like these hoping their designers will see it and make the obvious improvements (and then everyone benefits). 😁
@@airshootist AGT is not the only high-end manufacturer that dosent have a Plenum gauge Kral RAW Airmaks Arms Katran do the same you also have to dissembled the rifle to adjust the reg actually most Airgun Manufacturer follow this principle to change the reg but alot atheist will have a gauge for Plenum pressure
@@AfricanAirOrdnance We just got the new Airmaks KRAIT. Amazing design. I can't wait for a V2 with a few improvements to come out. At least it has a reg gauge and externally adjustable reg.... but.... a FILL PROBE?!? Like.. are you kidding? Eww.
I have a Skout Epoch on order that I am confident will be an absolute game changer. Has everything a high end airgun should & more, plus it's the very first spool valve PCP airgun. In time, you'll see, the spool valve will make hammers and springs obsolete in airgunning (as it has in paintball)

I have the 30cal uragan and it's been accurate out the box, 903-906 fps 55 shots ....I don't have the uragan 2, I wish it had a power adjuster, is why I'm not buying it..need a 25cal bullpup 60fpe plus
@@bigearl8687 True I have never claimed to be the best shooter but what a lot of folks don't realise is there are a lot of factors at play. Just one of many is finding the rite type of bullet what is super accurate in one gun may shoot horrible in the next
