Never understood why so far so good so what never got the respect of other Megadeth albums, I loved that album...
Part of the holy trinity of Megadeth, the first three albums. Nothing has come close to them since So Far for me.
This song is so relevant today. Toppling statues, changing names of sports teams and schools. Erasing things that offend instead of having discussions and examination. Just change things so no one is offended. SMH

The whole album is sick, because Dave sounds like he had 7 different drugs inside his system and it perfectly mimics how they were at the time.

I'm still staggered that the first 3 or 4 albums even got made lol, them being able to function with their H/speedball/god knows what else "diet" is nothing short of a miracle 😳😄, but those were the defining years of their sound and who knows what might have come out without that drug induced rage, fury and revenge, all I know is we got 4 unique metal masterpieces and wouldn't change anything 🤘

Everyone talks about the Peace Sells album...to me this album blows it away (So far so good so what) The opening instrumental "Into the Lungs of Hell" directly followed by "Set the World Afire" is unbeatable
Those 2 tracks played together would be the absolute best Megadeth reaction video.
Said for years and years it's my favorite album by Megadeth. Seen them like twelve times and for the longest time this is the album with the most songs they would play live.

Have to disagree. Peace Sells is still better. This album has some great highlights but it's a bit of a schizo beast. Production is great, cover art was horrendous.

Surprised! I have never heard this one.. I loved it. Dave sings with such grittiness and anger. This is the kind of music you put on when you are murdering the heavy bag in the gym..
i believe this came out right before Dave testified in front of a Senate committee, in front of Al Gore. Along with Dee Snider and a few others about lyrical content in albums, and the outcome was the parental advisory sticker on every album with "bad words". and the PMRC reference is to Tipper Gore who was the leading face of the whole attack on music.

if you think thats heavy, try Mechanix from the 2018 remastered disk. Its massively cranked higher than the original 1985 release and it actually sounds like it could have been brand new music just released.

Love your reactions to Megadeth! You need to check out more from Youthanasia album. I suggest Train of consequences, Addicted to Chaos, and A Tout le monde, which I think was meant to be a radio friendly Megadeth song, but is still a good, and unique song.

The lyrics are still poignant today. That’s the best part about old Megadeth. The critics wrote off Dave Mustaine as a drug addled rock star, yet he wrote better lyrics than pretty much everybody back then. The Powers That Be hate it when people speak truth to power.
