  • Recipe
    2 cups of flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
    2 tablespoons butter
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 tablespoons sugar
    1/2 tablespoons lard/shortening
if you do not want to use lard go right ahead and use 2 1/12 tablespoons of butter.
    Lukewarm water
Bake in preheated oven at 350 or 325 degrees for 30 minutes or less-15-20 according to your browness or liking. Bake them to your liking. Some people love them crispy and brown on the outiside, and some lighter on the outside.
You can always leave your bread to rise longer if prefer.

It reminds me of my mom's bubby bread. She used to make them when we were kids. I think my older brother gave it that name.

About 1/2 to 3/4 cups, but I recommend you pour little by little until your dough comes together.
