Thank you so much i’m always making mistakes
Thank you 😍
thank you sm!!!
I started bullet journaling because of you! Love your ideas! With online school and crazy schedules, journals really help keep track💕
:3
amanda, the way you flawlessly explained how to use the grid spacing guide... you could teach me calculus and i'd get it
So true

Yes Yes Yes👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Can we just appreciate how satisfying Amanda's intro is
Ikr!
How did you comment before Amanda uploads this video like commet 11 hours ago Amanda's video 10 hours ago
@@saimnomani9717 that's the power of Amanda's fans 😂
Agree
Her voice is soOoOoO soothing
I think Amanda's talent is being able to make simple easy doodles look really complex and sophisticated and interesting. So many other bujo channels use complex medium like watercolor paintings, printed paper, complex doodles in their bujo and while there's nothing wrong with that, it's really hard to recreate for someone who doesn't have that artistic ability or the art materials. I love that her themes are so simple to doodle but still manages to look visually interesting at the same time.

u are legit the reason why i started getting into bullet journaling! i’ve always loved to do pretty headers and stuff like that! but I didn’t know what a bullet journal was! so thank u so much ❤️❤️
Same thing with me!! I’ve been bullet journaling with her for almost 4 years I love it 💕💕

Me too!! Been b-journaling for 2 yrs now 😊
I myself have never had trouble drawing straight lines, and I subconsciously always drew the line toward myself, yet I never realized that that's what I was doing, so when Amanda explained it, I became aware of all the years in my life spent drawing straight lines toward myself. This feels like a very huge revelation of something that was there the entire time, but I never noticed it. Thank you for enlightening me, Amanda!

Exactly
2017 amanda, who uses rulers for her spreads, watching 2020 amanda free-handing straight lines: what kind of sorcery is this
Hardwork and practice
that's called growth 😌
"Art is just creative problem-solving." I love that. It makes trying art again less intimidating.
(2:03) Fun Story : for me it's easier to draw the straight line vertically instead of towars me, so don't stress yourself if it doesn't work for you. :)
Edit: Another Trick that helped me: Don't look at the pen when you draw. Look at the dots! It's like driving a car. It drives in the direction you looking at.
Aww 🥰 thanks
Now this is a true game changer for me at least! Thank you so much for this 🌻
Amanda: “Sakura Gelly Rolls 08 sizes and lower are not that great”
Me who just bought them yesterday: 👁👄👁
Return them back!😂😂😂
Pro tip: it's the same ink, but smaller nibs/points put out less of it at a time. If you go over the same spot again, you'll get that good coverage. It helps to let the first "coat" dry, and also to go over it *lightly* or even just dab at it *lightly* to get the ink to come out without disturbing the ink on the page. I bought mine to cover up water-based fountain pen ink mistakes, and I have to work in layer because the water-based gel ink does NOT sit on top of my mistakes; it blends and makes them worse (but pastel). Necessity is the mother of invention lol. Eventually I'll get an acrylic-based correction pen for my water-based inks, but for now, the Gelly Rolls are really great for going over stuff like the archival inks or pigment-based inks like the Fudenosukes, or over colored paper, so they're still worth having.
@Sai Tejaswitha Chevula yeah! I watch study to success all the time!

Ooh, a design / visual arts course by Amanda?! Yes, please! Seriously, I love how clearly you explain the concepts.
So I just got a random idea at the start of the video when you said you're spilling the tea:
What if you were able to get a partnership with a local cafe that sells bubble tea, and you create your own blends for them? Not sure if that would be feasible, but it could be bujo related! i.e. Bujo Bubbles, which would include your favorite flavors.
Also, yes - the straight line without a ruler thing has always been a mystery to me, and I've been watching your videos for at least two years now lol.
The first time I saw a grid spacing layout was on your channel and it really helped me a ton. I put mine on a clear plastic pencil board so I can slap it on the page as I plan my layouts then just mark where I need the lines to stop and end. Makes everything so much faster and I love it, thank you for the idea.
Is this grid sheet available for us to copy and where? And what is a clear pencil board? Sounds awesome like just what i need!!! Help
@@danielalondongirl933 I just bought a clear plastic pencil board from Jetpens website and put it over the grid spacing sheet I have in my bullet journal and traced the grid lines with a permanent marker (sharpie).

I guess a lot of us try to come up with their own bullet journal or design ideas and they just don't turn out the way we want them to look like. It would be so much fun, if you could redo some of our designs or spread ideas to get a more detailed feeling, what is maybe missing or what should be left out to make them look better. I think that really would help a lot of us and could be a great video idea :) Lovely greetings from germany and thank you so much Amanda for all your great, cozy and inspiring Videos

My lines are worse with a ruler 😀

I can draw a straight line with a ruler..... until I realise it’s diagonal and then cry 😿
I really appreciated these tips, especially how to correct mistakes. My 2 yo doodled in over 20 pages of my journal and I was wondering how I was going to work with it. I also found that using a bleed proof shipping label cut to size will also give me a clean page to work on. I will definitely check out the older video for more tips on mistakes!
let's thank Amanda for revealing her secrets❤

Hi amanda I just want to let you know that you are one of the reasons why I started bullet journaling you inspire me a lot,Thank you ☺️
Great video, Amanda! =D I started using the grid spacing sheet this year after I saw your set-up and it made my life so much easier! Super recommend everyone making your own cause then you don't need to worry about spacing and you can focus your energy on creating other aspects of the spreads! =D
:0 I have been waiting for this all my life
Me still processing that I actually drew a straight line without a ruler.... Thanks for the tip, Amanda!
I first started watching amanda's videos in 2018, and I have loved them ever since. She inspired me to bullet journal, and I love the spreads and themes she has done. I really wish amanda can make a sunset theme, that will brighten my day because I wanted to make one, but don't know how.
Thank you so much for sharing the tips & tricks on design, tools, and the joy you have for bullet journaling.

WOW! I learned so much in this video and I was not expecting this art and designing knowledge bomb! I would love if you keep bringing up that principles of repetition, contrast, and alignment when you do your future monthly spreads. It was so helpful when you referenced back to your October spread because it really gave insight on how to plan out a bullet journal spread from scratch. Thank you!
how amazingly she is explaining.....I was dying to know what to do in the grid spacing cheat sheet...Amanda promised to do a specific video on grid spacing cheat sheet and finally after 2 years she did...appreciated 😂👏👏

Thank you so much, Amanda! Your space grid page is very mind opening! I have trouble when creating boxes on my bullet journal, since I literally need to count manually to make sure they look proportional. Why I just found your video now..?
Totally gotta steal this cheat sheet idea 💡
Thanks a much!
just wanna say, I appreciate you trying and working hard to explain all these. YOU'RE THE BOMB ❤️
Do you have tips for getting back into bullet journaling... I kinda forgot about mine and I wanna get back into it, but I don’t know how to start it back up after 7 months of not doing it..
Ps. I can also draw straight lines without a ruler too...
The beauty of this system is you can literally just pick up on the next empty page, where traditional planners would taunt you with a mass of wasted pages. I'd put a big ol' OOPS page in there, myself. And if it irks you that much (especially if you're about to enter a new year anyway)... time to get a shiny new journal, darrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnn...
Just start off with simple spreads again, only do spreads that you need and have fun with it but dont force yourself to make it look pretty: just simple spreads to ease back into it
Be gentle with yourself and do whatever you’d like! It’s all about what works for you, and only you.

When I first watched a couple of your videos I noticed this immediately and knew how you did it because it's the trick I tell my high school students: pull towards you; don't draw away from you! You go with your straight-line-drawing-self!
I'm agree.
I hope someday I can shoot the same
Amanda, I'm super happy that you shared your tips, not everyone does it and I think is very kind and brave of you. I'm really thankful because thanks to your tips I will be able to improve a little bit more with my bujo.
