    Hi friends!
    Claudia here. Thank you for clicking on this video. I hope you are healthy and well. 💕
    I have been bullet journaling for over 4 years now and it's safe to say that I know a thing or two when it comes to this notebook system.
    In this video, I'm throwing in my two cents on the fundamentals of bullet journaling. I cover what is the bullet journal method, the supplies you can use to set it up, and I walk you through how to set up your bullet journal. This is an easy, simple, quick, step-by-step guide on starting your bujo! A guide for those who are beginners as well as those who need a lil refresher 😉
    Well, I hope you enjoy this video. Let me know in the comments what else you'd like to see that's bullet journal related. I'd love to help out in any way I can.
    Happy bullet journaling!
    Claudia x

    hello! 🤗 a disclaimer for those concerned with the 'password log' -
    i totally understand how risky and dangerous it can be to store your usernames and passwords in your bullet journal because your notebook could get stolen! i apologize for suggesting such a method, i only wanted to provide those who prefer to store this info on paper than on a site or app. that was my only intention!
    also, i no longer do this spread! when i'm done with my bujo, i rip that page out, shred it, and throw it away. thank you for your concerns, i appreciate it! 💛

    This is so comforting. I’ve been looking at other spreads for inspiration but they’re all “perfect” looking and a little discouraging. Seeing scribbles and threading in a bullet journal has me excited to lay mine out.

    • @claudiaspaurel
      @claudiaspaurel  3 года назад +98

      Hi Kriztina! Thank you for watching my video. ❤️And yes I totally agree with you - seeing the 'imperfections' and just the rawness of bujo scribbles comforts me to go ahead with it all! Making it 'perfect' looking is personally hard to keep up with and makes me feel way too intimidated to make full use of the bujo system.
      Happy bullet journaling! 😊

      @@mary-pf2nn I genuinely don't understand how those artistic ones are practical or useful, even to an artistically inclined person. I say this as someone who went to an arts high school specializing in illustration and painting, then took two full years of art classes at the college level. It's not that I can't draw, it's that I don't understand how expending creative energy helps that much. Maybe that type of journaling just isn't for me specifically, but it does feel peacock-y to me too.

    So my therapist recommended that I start journaling and I was left confused where to start and what to do. Going through several videos out there on the internet I stumbled upon this one video and I can't tell how much better my life has been eversince. I have now successfully journaled one whole month of January 2023 and I feel like the best version of myself I've been in past couple of years. I feel so productive and my emotions don't control me the way they used to , there's still ups and downs but I will get through. Thank you so much Claudia Kai for making it so simple and being an integral part of my journey.

    • @MR-pr8tp
      @MR-pr8tp Год назад +1

      While it isn't intimidating for me, I do find my purpose for using a bullet journal or planner is very different than those that like to spend so much time recreating calendars, drawings, toting around colorful pens etc. This video noted- creativity can conflict with the purpose of having a bullet journal or planner. Saw a post that shared the "most gorgeous spreads" and was filled with time consuming, colorful "stuff" that defeats my idea of why I am creating my bullet journal. I can't imagine sitting in a corporate meeting and having other peers see all the colorful drawings while I write a reminder or task. I'd be laughed out of the room....

    • @markusblain9361
      @markusblain9361 Год назад

      @@MR-pr8tp the colorful drawings and whatnot also defeated the purpose of why I eventually started a bullet journal. It took a couple of months but I developed a system that works best for me and it only takes a few minutes out of my day.

I was scrolling through pinterest when I saw the "perfect" bullet journals. I thought "this sounds cool, maybe I can give it a go" I just got a random journal laying around, got a pen, some highlighters and started to research. I then learned, that bullet journaling isn't all just aesthetic, but can be simple and pleasing at the same time, while all helping me organize.
    I've been looking around youtube, and this video is the only one that has really made me understand how to bullet journal, and how to set it up, and how to go along with the "imperfections" What i'm trying to say is, THANK YOU!!!! This was such a helpful and encouraging video!
    I’ve always been so intimidated by all the beautiful and perfect Instagram bullet journals that I didn’t think I should even bother to even try.
    Although, I’ll make many countless of permanent ugly mistakes in my bullet journal, you’ve totally encouraged me to start regardless.
    Thank you ♥️

    This is by far the best bullet journal video I’ve seen. I’m new to bullet journaling and literally had no idea where to start. After watching this video it’s been a massive help. Also the spreads look achievable even for us newbies. Some spreads I’ve seen online are so artistic and fancy I found them daunting as my drawing skills are definitely not at that level. Thanks so much Claudia for making this video. I shall definitely refer back to it as I get started with my Journal 😊

    The worst thing about bunk is that I write my todos in the daily log and most of them are not done, and then when I need to migrate them, I feel like a failure because most of them are not done. Do you have any suggestions to beat it pleade?

    Thank you for this video, I need serious organization in my life and thought of bullet journaling but I know myself and I knew if I tried the artsy spreads, I'd spend just too much time making them and none actually doing my tasks. This encouraged me to give it a try, putting things on paper just doesn't compare to doing it on my phone.

    Great video, really enjoyed this, and I hate them usually so this is quite a compliment for me!! Why I like your video is that you are concise. You stick to the title of the video so we know what we are getting, you didn't diverge from that, and your intro wasn't too long, there wasn't a long story at the beginning all about you and why you do this and each section that followed stayed on point (even something Ryder Carroll struggles with). One very smart video. Thank you.

      My hands shake too dear. We can have our usual earthquake writing together, but with prettier colors 😂🥰
      Protip: My writing isn't as shaky if I use a heavier pen. Like, HEFTY. In case that helps.
