What a great video! After watching your videos, I came to the understanding that I think of time differently than most people. I track my daily habits in yearly habit trackers, which I made in a simple excel sheet. Then I got it decorated in PowerPoint and I printed it. I have each month horizontally and the rows represent the habits I want to focus on. This gives me an overview not only of the habits per se but of my mental health and how hectic my schedule is (by seeing when nothing is checked off).
I have a perpetual calendar In Alastair method with names and years in place of the yearly habits for births / matches / and dispatches and dates in the columns. So where my name is and the column for my birthday month, I have the number of my birthdate in that coordinates. Then a separate line for if a match for me and another person happens in the same way. Whenever I move it to another notebook, I put the newer additions into the series in their own month and date order, so I can see everything from day October together and in sequence to be able to wish folks happy birthday or anniversary or remembering the day of their family members who have passed on. It’s a good way to keep track of family events, and is simple enough for me to update. If I don’t catch all of the information of day month and year, I can just add whatever information I have to the list and input the rest later. Like usually I get day and month information but not year, so I wait for the next milestone birthday or anniversary to come up and then input it into my list. Or get the family history buff to chatting about stuff and glean bits that way. Asking about things directly is awkward sometimes.
The when did I last is good for vehicle (car, bike, skates, shoes, bus pass - any travel form basically) maintenance/up keep logs. As to the very first mutli times a day tracker, it could be paired with your low - high bar method with a mini key at the top of the page where one color/symbol indicates the low, another for middle, and another for the max done. I like to leave not done as blank unless it was an intentional skip in which case I put an 's' for skip; it helps me see the patterns better.
Came here from another video where I asked about tracking habits that happen multiple times a week, but not every day. This video is extremely helpful! I especially like that on many of them you can both track and plan the habits. Thank you for these ideas! (Edit: English mistakes)
I just subscribed and there's a new video ^_^ thank you! I've already seen some of the previous videos and want to thank you for your very useful ideas and motivational attitude :) love from Portugal
I've just recently started including weekly overviews and their habit trackers instead of incorporating the trackers into each daily spread, and I've found it immensely helpful. At the end of the month (or, ideally, at the end of every week), I can copy those habits into the monthly and yearly logs. When I was in a hurry I often dropped the tracker from my dailies and then forgot to flip back to the monthly every day so this has been an effective compromise.
The pink ginham alestair method monthly tracker is one of my absolute favorite trackers! I have been using it weekly for my to do's and it has been life changing. I just replaced the months of the year with the days of the week and write my tasks on the left- laundry, clean bathrooms, vacuum living room, etc.. I don't need to do these things on specific days but they need to be done throughout the course of the week. It's super quick and easy to set up and use and I don't forget anything! Things that need done daily are on separate habit trackers. Day specific items go in my daily boxes. Another great video Jess. You are my go to girl for bullet journal ideas! 🎉
I have a similar thing going on with my home care tasks, and health tracking stuff, and I have it listed as floors and just put S, V, or M in the spot for a day for whether the floor was swept or mopped or if the rugs were vacuumed. It saves me a couple of lines on the page. Also partner will ask me who empty the dishwasher, and I don’t always remember, so I add a line for that one and put the initial of each one in there when they do it. It’s a good way for me to keep track of what I’m not as interested in remembering.
I have a hard time keeping up with habits. I might be constant with one for a week, then something happens and the habit is destroyed... So I think that the space for notes at 2:55 can be useful. It can be a reminder to keep up with the habit, and a journal for reflection on the past. Life can be dificult, things happen, but we can keep on going. Right?
I really like all your videos, and I've watched through quite a few today as I'm preparing for November set up. I just thought I'd take this opportunity while I remember to say thank you for sharing all your content. I have only been doing a bujo since the start of this year, and I have learned so much from you for each aspect of setting up, using, organising, and decorating, my bujo. So thank you! I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
Jess! How did you know? I want to try a different tracker setup since I think my original one works but is getting stale. Haven’t even watched the video and I know it’s going to be great because I have habits of all kinds to check up with.
Great ideas!! I have seen tons of daily habit tracker options, but I’ve always wanted better ways to track things that I do a few times a week. Can’t wait to try some of these out!!
I swear you're a mind reader! 😊 Not the first time your content has aligned with my next spread, hope it becomes a habit 😂 Love your videos, soo helpful & well explained too. Thank you.
I looooove your videos 💖 I on the other hand have so much trouble to keep up with a bullet journal over all It starts really good but after two or three months, I forget or just dont have the energy to continue 😢
Yup! I normally just colour in the daily segment with whichever colours were needed to represent the day’s mood spectrum, or you could set it up like a daily habit tracker where the “habits” are just different mood descriptions
I’ve had it happen in some books, including on Tomoe River paper (semi famous for almost never bleeding through) if I’m not paying enough attention to how much pressure or how quick I am. I still love them though

Sounds like an interesting setup! I'd love to see a picture of it if you've shared that somewhere 😮💜

Best video on habit tracking I’ve ever seen! Thanks so much!

@@JashiiCorrin what a great idea. 🙂 Thanks Jess. 💜
Do your Dot pens bleed through the paper? I bought some and they bled through three sheets of paper. Ugh!
Ooof that’s rough! Mine done, but it also depends on what type of paper you’re using. What were you working with?

Did you run out of tape on the one "When did I last" section? 😂
Yup 😂 finally used up the full roll!
