I can relate! 😂 I travelled to Edmonton last month & this is how I talked to my stationary: "Now which of you little babies do i steal from your family"
This has absolutely happened to me. Once I sacrificed an entire kit of crayola dual tips when my boss was having a meeting with a vendor but the vendor had to bring his son with. And he was running all over and frustrating his dad. So I said “come over here and play with me” and we sat a table with stationary paper, washi tape, and the markers and he sat for the rest of the meeting. My boss was like “where did you even pull all that from”? 😂😂😂
you should design a stationery bag!!! That would be so cool!!! Especially if it had different pockets for different thing and being able to attach pins to the outside!!!!
The fact that my pencil case contents are almost identical to yours is a true testament to what a foundational impact you've had on my bullet journal journey but also my artistic journey overall. You're wonderful. Thank you for everything you do.
My essentials would be: zebra mildliners papermate inkjoy gel pens a nice mechanical pencil tombow fudenosuke/pentel touch brush pen and if i was going for a longer time: more colors of brush pens ohuhu alcohol brush markers stabilo fineliners watercolor set a few sheets of marker and watercolor paper
My favourite gel pen is definetely the Pentel Energel 0.5 needle tip, it's so smooth and the ink dries incredibly quickly! Although it's does skip one every now and then, I 100% recommend! Especially in the super adorable clena body! Thx for the new video 🖋
0.4 tip here, no issues, no smearing, crisp and clear and pairs well with the zebra mild liners that I like so much. I live the needle tip! I put mine in a zebra pen body and it's perfect!
Those scissors are embroidery scissors 😊 (avid cross stitcher here, and I have many pairs of those scissors). As someone else commented they were originally used by midwives for cutting umbilical cords, that's why they're stork shaped. My go to gel pens for writing the PaperMate InkJoy... because they come in a ton of colours and don't smear.
my favourite thin gel pens are the pentel energel 0.5mm- you can write in small spaces with them because of the needle tip and they’re quick drying so they’re good to use with highlighters. They also come in a lot of cute designs. Overall just an amazing pen tbh ✨ Btw lysm Amanda your videos are always amazing💜
@A P yeah I also love the sarasas- again my favourite size to use is 0.5mm. My main issue with them though is that the ink takes a while to dry, which isn’t ideal because I’m left handed. That’s why I love my pentel energel lol
My all time favorite pen for writing all the entries in my bujo is pilot acroball 0.7 in black. Let me tell you - it is amazing! So if you ever run out of your Uniball definitely try this one ☺️ Btw you inspired me to start a bullet journalling 3 years ago and I loved your content since ❤️ You are such an inspiration ❤️❤️
The journal godess has the most appropriate pencil case. Btw you’re not the only one who carries paper clips to trips. Even I do that every single time Try zebra sarasa black pen. You get the thickness of 0.38 and also 0.5 which is great. It does take a bit to dry but if you want a quicker dry then zebra sarasa mark on. It is available in 0.4 and 0.5.
I love this video! I’m embarking on my BuJo journey, and this was super interesting. I’m a retired interior designer (so I love colors and patterns and textures), AND I’m ADHD, so I really love to accumulate stuff. This “travel” pack helps inform me as to limiting my supplies to what I actually need. At least for now 😉
Man your not just the only one, even if I’m travelling for a day I travel with heck lot of stationary items stapler pins to paint tube it’s like ALL INNNN 😅😂
My favourite gel pens for writing are the Zebra Sarasa Clip and Pentel EnerGel, both in 0.5mm. They write pretty smoothly with no skipping and come in plenty of nice colours too!
A good quality of pens for me is when they still writing well with no skips in the ink even when they've fallen for dozens of times. Some pens like Faber Castell won't write good anymore the moment you try when they fell so pens who still write nicely even after they fell are dope.
I love watching you Amanda you just inspire me so much!! When I don't know what pens to get for a specific thing I watch you and I just know what to get I love you Amanda you are a great RUclipsr a great artist and just everything you put soo much effort into your video love you Amanda!!
I mainly use the Pilot G-2 0.5 in black, and already did for like 3 years maybe and I'm still happy with them, the only thing which isnt so good abt them is that they dry very slow but if I want to highlight my text I use a Pentel Energel with a needle tip also in 0.5 cause they dry much quicker
OMG! This is a lot less than I expected… I have a gel pen recommendation, It’s the Papermate Inkjoy gel 0.7 or 0.5. It comes in a lot of different colours. There are 5 mildliners packs/ sets
I really like the pentel energel 0.3 and 0.5. They work really well for me when taking notes and writing in my bullet journal. I haven't had any problems with it so far and I have been using it for a few years now.
I, too, take paperclips with me when I'm traveling. I don't take as many markers, but I take my journal, my day planner, washi tape, tape rollers, glue sticks, stickers, small scissors, an eraser, and cards/envelopes/postage stamps (I never know when writing a card to friend will strike my fancy!). And clothes, of course. But the stationary items are MOST IMPORTANT!
I love how Amanda uses the white Sakura gelly roll ten pens and the archer and olive acrylograph paint pen like chopsticks in 7:15 . also love the strawberry nails i also feel i am always overpacking my stationary but its just happiness
My stationary essentials are - agenda - lined notebook to write down lesson plans or other notes - a set of highlighters like the pilot friction or zebra mildliners - multiple black gel pens like a pilot 0.5 - a red or purple 0.5 gel pen - white out rollers - sticky notes - a ruler because I can’t draw straight lines like Amanda lol
My current favorite writing utensil, which is also a gel pen, is the Sharpie S-Gel 0.5! It's also a clicky pen, which I LOVE... and has one of those comfortable padded and ribbed grips. The exterior is black and silver and stylish looking! It writes SO SMOOTH... never skips, I haven't had any problems with bleeding or smudging. And they last REALLY LONG!!! I bought a 4 pack in November 2021 and use them ALL THE TIME, and one just ran out for the first time in September 2022, so I just bought a second pack to have on hand. No idea if I'm missing out on anything else either, but these I LOVE and am loyal to, and are my constant companions!
Been using Pilot G-Tec C4 and C3 for years now for writing and recently I got into Sakura Pigma Micron at 01 and 03 when I am doing my bullet journal because of you. ☺️ Your pencil case is definitely on my *rob list* 😂 Love, from Philippines.
I love writing with 0.38 Pilot G2 pens. I use them for lesson plans in my planner and journaling, and then 0.7’s for general use in my 5th grade classroom.
One of my most favorite pens currently is the galaxy snowwhite needle roller pen. It is in the size 0.5 and you can also use it almost like a Fineliner so I just make all my bujo spreads with it and I love it!
Love Uniball Signo DX as well as their Needle version, but right now I'm preferring Uniball One in a Signo RT pen body. The super dark pigment ink dries faster and it's more vivid. You should try them. I love click pens for travel.
If you love uniball.. try the uniball one. I used to love the Uniball Signo and then the Zebra Sarasa but my go to is the uniball one - Paper Plus Cloth carries them in TO
I went travelling around South America for 4 months and definitely took paper clips. I even took a protractor! (although I only used it to wedge a door closed)
yes omg i swear by the uniball signos for everyday writing too! except i use the 0.28mm size because i love how thin it is :D same with the pigma microns i can't do a spread without them 💖
Amanda, I was surprised that you got it down to 3 stationery holders. I am a great fan of the Pilot cartridge system Precise/Hi-Tecpoint [a refillable planet friendly] rollerball pens available in 0.5 & 0.7.
My favourite black gel pen in 0.38 has to be the Pilot Juice pen!! I also find it doesn't skip and I like how black it is. I found the Muji gel pen to skip also and took some time before it warmed up.
Uniball Signo make a .28 in a bunch of colours, I'm partial to blue/black ink and love that. Love how my writing looks when I use these and bonus I can write really small! :) Much love from New Zealand.
For white pens I find that the Gelly Roll isn’t quite as good as the Signo Broad, which works on fabric as well as paper. I use them for marking quilt pieces.
I love it! I can relate! I once told my dad if we're gonna go travelling, I'd bring all my stationary since I don't have that much stationary. And then I look at my whole box of washi tape and 10 sets of pens. Lol.
I think the confusion came when you said you moved and people took that to mean a permanent move and not a month stay. I enjoyed seeing what your must haves are! Thank you for sharing!
My recommendation for writing pens would be the pentel energel in 0.4. You can highlight over it and it wong smudge, it has very smooth ink and it won't skip it is also smudge proof
My favourite journal writing tool is my Red Pilot desk pen in EF (old style no longer made and hard to find 20AUD) with Sailor Sei Boku, it is a blue black Nano technology grind, pigment ink for fountain pens. Dry ink fast drying. (looks like a panther jumping over a fence. Meow) on either Cosmo Air Light paper simple journal from Japan (Danika58 Etsy is the seller, very smooth, paper in all kinds of styles and sizes, in a fake TN B5 slim (Aliexpress 8AUD ), or in my new Bespoke Australian made Coptic stitch lie flat, thick 192 journal in shell pink in canvas thick hard cover in B5. Creamy paper, light wide lines. Both of these papers take ink, and watercolour really well without bleed through, or warping. Have a lovely day, Rachel. I think this was a limited travel pack for you. I love the Zebra mildliners too. QUESTION: Any stationery supply regrets that you didn't bring with you? QUESTION: What did you love about Vancouver? Can you see the islands nearby? There is no way we can travel the distance that you did, all our airports were practically shut down by our government, border closures. We are all still in lockdown, till 11th October, "Freedom day" where everyone is allowed to go nuts and be out. I won't be! In kindred spirit Eliza Dulwich Hill, Sydney, Australia 5th October 2021, 11:42am
My go to gel pen are the Muji ones. The one I use is the 0.5 black gel pen. From my experience it’s a great pen and I personally haven’t had any issues :))
0.38 Pilot Juice pens are quite good if they are in dark colours like dark green or black etc. If thinness isn’t a priority then I’d personally go with a Pentel Energel in a different pen body like a Zebra Sarasa body because the Pilot Energel ink doesn’t smear at all but the body of the pen is really thick and the grip isn’t good.
I used to use the Microns like hers but the Energel is refillable and that for me is a huge advantage. I hate the thought of pens I have to throw away once they’re empty.
Omg I also have some emotional support washi tapes too! 😂 They’re Totoro theme and I just enjoy looking at them so much! 🥰 Thank you for another wonderful video! It’s fun to see what you brought with you!
I recently started bullet journalism, and your tips and tricks have really helped! Thank you so much! I'm trying not to give into the stationary addicted monster inside me persuading me to buy the entire store for my first try 😀 Wish me luck 😔✊
I don’t use gel pens anymore I only use fountain pens! It’s much better for the environment I feel like especially since I would go through pack after pack of disposable pens. I use anything from a Japanese brand (like sailor or pilot) with an EF nib, it turns out like a 0.3mm. Japanese nibs are the finest I assume because their alphabet requires a lot of detail. Best part is there’s endless beautiful inks and finishes, for school notes I use a standard archival black that dries quick and doesn’t smudge under highlighter, but for bullet journal I switch the colour out every month depending on how I feel.
I have 5 zebra mild liners, 2 Sakura microns, Pentel graphgear 5000 mechanical pencil, Sakura gelly roll in white, a small pair of scissors, a black tombow dual brush pen, a tombow mono eraser, pentel hypolomer lead refills, Dixon Ticonderoga wood case pencil, a bic ballpoint pen, a generals kneaded eraser, a blending stump, pink post it notes, a sharpie, and an elmers glue stick, a roll of washi tape (a cheap one for setting edges), and a gold binder clip in my pencil case
Thank you so much for this Video! It has the perfect timing. I am going to fly to Canada for a while and I am so struggling what to keep with me. I bullet journal for a while and just started junk journaling. I just have to be happy with a little stationary but I also planned to take washi tape, paperclips and the other think to push the journal flat while writing, with me. Thank you for hearing I am not the only crazy one on this world! 😜
i love this. this is like the what’s in my makeup bag of a “bulletjournal guru” haha
It’s like how someone has their “essentials bag”, Amanda has a “stationary bag”, and I’m all for it 😂👍🏼
me too
haha
Awww I'm jealous who needs an essential bag when you love art
Haha
They do be her essentials
I can relate! 😂 I travelled to Edmonton last month & this is how I talked to my stationary:
"Now which of you little babies do i steal from your family"
LOL ME i felt bad taking them away from their home 😩
Lol this happens every time lately when I go on holiday
THISS! My stationery is definitely my emotional support 😂 I bring them everywhere and everyone at work always looks at me like 🤔
they just don't understand us
This has absolutely happened to me. Once I sacrificed an entire kit of crayola dual tips when my boss was having a meeting with a vendor but the vendor had to bring his son with. It’s the essentials so..
you should design a stationery bag!!! That would be so cool!!! Especially if it had different pockets for different thing and being able to attach pins to the outside!!!!
2024:she made one ♡
The fact that my pencil case contents are almost identical to yours is a true testament to what a foundational impact you've had on my bullet journal journey but also my artistic journey overall. You're wonderful. Thank you for everything you do.
can’t wait to see what’s in her pencil case ☺️💗
amanda literally has the entire stationery store by now haha
My mother always brings a paperclip with her and it is always useful. We even got an engagement ring out of a wooden floor because of it :D
My essentials would be:
zebra mildliners
papermate inkjoy gel pens
a nice mechanical pencil
tombow fudenosuke/pentel touch brush pen
and if i was going for a longer time:
more colors of brush pens
ohuhu alcohol brush markers
stabilo fineliners
watercolor set
a few sheets of marker and watercolor paper
OMG I HAVE THE INKJOYS
omg samee!! thank you for this list! I'll note this down!
@@onishojo9430 I LOVE INKJOYS SO MUCH!!
@@meenakshigireesh8617 yep ofc these are my favorite stationery!!
I love the pentel energel needle tip 0.5 pen for daily writing! It's amazing: writes smoothly and no skipping at all
My favourite gel pen is definetely the Pentel Energel 0.5 needle tip, it's so smooth and the ink dries incredibly quickly! Although it's does skip one every now and then, I 100% recommend! Especially in the super adorable clena body! Thx for the new video 🖋
I’ve got a 0.3 needle tip and they’re great!
I was going to comment this too, it's also my favorite!

Loved this video! For someone who is going back to school this really helped !💜💜 Edit: Thank u for 23 likes💜
Everything about Amanda is so aesthetic ✨
my favourite thin gel pens are the pentel energel 0.5mm- you can write in small spaces with them because of the needle tip and they’re quick drying so they’re good to use with highlighters. They also come in a lot of cute designs. Overall just an amazing pen tbh ✨
Btw lysm Amanda your videos are always amazing💜
Just discovered these and they are refillable too!! They write so nicely and super sharp. Had been using the Sarasa's but their refills are pricey.
Came to reco this one as well. It's my ride or die pen.
@A P yeah I also love the sarasas- again my favourite size to use is 0.5mm. My main issue with them though is that the ink takes a while to dry, which isn’t ideal because I’m left handed. That’s why I love my pentel energel lol
my favorite thin pen for writing in the pilot juice 0.38! definitely my absolute fav, i use it for everything
Amanda: you’re in a safe space. Anyone who watches your channel understands the love of stationery. No need to explain the excess.
I don’t even bullet journal because I have an iPad, but I love watching for Amanda 💞
The journal godess has the most appropriate pencil case.
Btw you’re not the only one who carries paper clips to trips. Even I do that every single time
Try zebra sarasa black pen. You get the thickness of 0.38 and also 0.5 which is great. It does take a bit to dry but if you want a quicker dry then zebra sarasa mark on. It is available in 0.4 and 0.5.

my favorite gel pen is the pentel energel! it's soooo good, doesn't skip, glides through the page, affordable, i love it so much i bring it everywhere
My favourite gel pens for writing are the Zebra Sarasa Clip and Pentel EnerGel, both in 0.5mm. They write pretty smoothly with no skipping and come in plenty of nice colours too!
I also love the Uni-Ball Signo line. The RT1 UMN-155 comes in 0.28! Such small lettering!
Paper mate inkjoy 100ST is mwah, chefs kiss. It's literally so smooth and never has it skipped once. It literally makes my handwriting better.
A good quality of pens for me is when they still writing well with no skips in the ink even when they've fallen for dozens of times. Some pens like Faber Castell won't write good anymore the moment you try when they fell so pens who still write nicely even after they fell are dope.

My favorite pens are the Flair Felt Tip Pens. I love using them for taking notes, doodling, etc.
what is sleep when Amanda uploads at 4am!
Amanda > Sleep. ♡
correct
My stationary essentials are
- agenda
- lined notebook to write down lesson plans or other notes
- a set of highlighters like the pilot friction or zebra mildliners
- multiple black gel pens like a pilot 0.5
- a red or purple 0.5 gel pen
- white out rollers
- sticky notes
- a ruler because I can’t draw straight lines like Amanda lol
Also Amanda for pen suggestions, the sarasa mark-on is available as a 0.4 on jetpens! It's formulated not to smear from highlighters
My current favorite writing utensil, which is also a gel pen, is the Sharpie S-Gel 0.5! It's also a clicky pen, which I LOVE... and has one of those comfortable padded and ribbed grips. The exterior is black and silver and stylish looking!

I always travel with paperclips and binder clips! You never know when you will need them 😎
Hey Amanda! Been watching you for 2 years now and since then I’ve gotten into bullet journaling and I love it thanks ☺️
I love writing with 0.38 Pilot G2 pens. I use them for lesson plans in my planner and journaling, and then 0.7’s for general use in my 5th grade classroom.
You must bring with yourself Tomboy brush pens and Micron fineliners. They're would never lie 🤚❤️
One of my most favorite pens currently is the galaxy snowwhite needle roller pen.
It is in the size 0.5 and you can also use it almost like a Fineliner so I just make all my bujo spreads with it and I love it!
my all time favorite writing pen it uniball signo micro 207, it writes 0.38 and its always soo smooth. dries really quickly as well!
Love ur vids soooo much when ever I am down in the dumps I watch ur vids and they make me happy
The light, the hair, the MAKEUP 🥺
omg my fav pen is the pentel energel needle tip! they don’t smudge and and is super smooth!
girl you are absolutely glowing in this video, you look GORGEOUS
I also use only 0.3 mechanical pencils for sketching. My favourite writing pen is the Pentel Energel Roller Pen with the needle tip. Best pen ever 😌
As for gel pens, I recommended Zebra Sarasa. They are all great!
The pentel energel are just amazing, and they have some special collections that are super, super cute
I love the TUL retractable gel pens. I think the thinnest is 0.5 so it may not be thin enough, but they have multiple colors too, which I LOVE
does anyone else feels like Amandarachlee is a therapy session for stationery lovers 💜🤍❤️
Wow, I wanted to put my pins on something other than a bag or backpack, but I think I'll be doing it for my pencil case too! That's such a good idea.
Love Uniball Signo DX as well as their Needle version, but right now I'm preferring Uniball One in a Signo RT pen body. The super dark pigment ink dries faster and it's more vivid. You should try them. I love click pens for travel.
If you love uniball.. try the uniball one. I used to love the Uniball Signo and then the Zebra Sarasa but my go to is the uniball one - Paper Plus Cloth carries them in TO

yes omg i swear by the uniball signos for everyday writing too! except i use the 0.28mm size because i love how thin it is :D same with the pigma microns i can't do a spread without them 💖
my favorite gel pen is the pilot juice up!! soo smooth!
Amanda,
I was surprised that you got it down to 3 stationery holders.
I am a great fan of the Pilot cartridge system Precise/Hi-Tecpoint [a refillable planet friendly] rollerball pens available in 0.5 & 0.7.
i really like the pentel energel 0.5 pen, its soooo good! it never smears
My favourite black gel pen in 0.38 has to be the Pilot Juice pen!! I also find it doesn't skip and I like how black it is. I found the Muji gel pen to skip also and took some time before it warmed up.
The best thi gel pen in my opinion is the uniball eye it's amazing I've been using it for years
I use inkoy gellyroll gel pen and it’s literally one of the best pen ever I really recommend it !!!! ❤️
My fave pen:Pentel energel.
I usually like the 0.5 needle tip but they have other sizes too
Another black gel pen that I would recommend is the pentel energel black pen..
Also I understand I hoard my stationery when I travel too
My fav text writing thin gel pen is the pentel energel!! I use the 0.5 and it’s amazing !!!!
Uniball Signo make a .28 in a bunch of colours, I'm partial to blue/black ink and love that. Love how my writing looks when I use these and bonus I can write really small! :) Much love from New Zealand.
All of the yes to the Signo DX! I loved the one I got so much that I used up almost an entire refill in three months.
Lol.
I also use that thick white Pilot paint marker for heavier duty erasing! It’s called Pilot Pintor in Europe
My favourite journal writing tool is my Red Pilot desk pen in EF
(old style no longer made and hard to find 20AUD)
with Sailor Sei Boku, it is a blue black Nano technology grind, pigment ink for fountain pens. Dry ink fast drying. (looks like a panther jumping over a fence. Meow)
on either Cosmo Air Light paper simple journal from Japan (Danika58 Etsy is the seller, very smooth, paper in all kinds of styles and sizes, in a fake TN B5 slim (Aliexpress 8AUD ),
or
in my new Bespoke Australian made Coptic stitch lie flat, thick 192 journal in shell pink in canvas thick hard cover in B5. Creamy paper, light wide lines. Both of these papers take ink, and watercolour really well without bleed through, or warping.
Have a lovely day, Rachel. I think this was a limited travel pack for you. I love the Zebra mildliners too.

i love using the muji .5 gel pen for writing but i also love the junhao 993 shark fountain pen by goulet pens. its amazing.
Keep sharing your positivity cause you make me smile
Pilot 0.38 Juice pens will always have my heart
You really inspired me Amanda to do bullet journal even though I skip a lot
My go to gel pen are the Muji ones. The one I use is the 0.5 black gel pen. From my experience it’s a great pen and I personally haven’t had any issues :))
In essentials my fav is micron pens and tombow pens.I think they should be in every pencil case.
The sharpie gel pens are surprisingly amazing.
THANK YOU I NEEDED THIS!!! I’m going on vacation soon so this is so helpful
Favorite pen is Pilot G-2 .05 in black. I love this pen so much I have like 20 stashed away in my desk.
I can recommend the Pentel EnerGel in needle tip - the ink dries sooooo fast it's insane. I moved to that pen recently and I'm not moving back. Ever.
I used to use the Microns like hers but the Energel is refillable and that for me is a huge advantage. I hate the thought of pens I have to throw away once they’re empty.
Uniball Signo is still the best, that's what I use too almost exclusively. Sarasa pens are great too, but the Signo is just the best.
Omg I also have some emotional support washi tapes too! 😂 They’re Totoro theme and I just enjoy looking at them so much! 🥰
Thank you for another wonderful video! It’s fun to see what you brought with you!
ugh love watching a new amanda video first thing in the morning 💗
Your stationery items are awesome and I also love stationery so so so much ♥️
And yes always keep doodling ♥️
I would hope nobody forgets paper clips on vaca!! 😂.

literally a m00d 💛
Oh and a pentel energel gel pen
Thank you so much for this Video! It has the perfect timing. I am going to fly to Canada for a while and I am so struggling what to keep with me. I bullet journal for a while and just started junk journaling. I just have to be happy with a little stationary but I also planned to take washi tape, paperclips and the other think to push the journal flat while writing, with me. Thank you for hearing I am not the only crazy one on this world! 😜
Ahhh Amanda posted!! U literally made my day!! Ly queen of lil doodles
