I’m not sure how to adequately word my appreciation for this video. I can’t understand how people around me can be just fine with pens that don’t work well but most pens I can find in my area are less than ideal quality. Thank you for this list and review of good supplies! Japan holds so much of my respect for how much care they display through their work. I love that you showed the stationary kit from Plus Corporation. I ran across a separately packaged stapler from that kit in 1988. It survived regular use for 30 years. I now have a replacement. I have never seen a smaller stapler.
For a curiously tiny pencil, nothing will ever beat the Ohto Minimo.
I really love the Pentel Orenz series. The sliding sleeve mechanism operates smoothly, and there is it 0.2mm version, that serves as an inexpensive proxy for the Pentel PS1042 that keeps evading me. One problem with the Orenz series, is the clip. It is awkward, and the channel it fits into is thin and brittle. The OrenzNero has solved this problem, but it is pricey.
I also love the Ohto Conception pencil. The other Ohto adjustable you show looks identical to my Super ProMecha.
I’d really like to see how Pentel’s Clic Eraser for Pro ZE31, the latest in the Pentel Clic series, measures up to the performance of the erasers you tested.

I had no idea the metal Kurutoga had a metal sleeve you can slide off the transparent barrel.

I have a couple frixion multipens and I love them. I got mine on JetPens and they have a few stamps too, though I don't see how I would use one since I use my pens for notes.
I like to imagine you just have hundreds of pens & pencils lying around your house. I imagine they haunt you. In every draw, every cupboard, every flat surface is covered by pens and pencils.

I have the pen case shown at 0:25 people ask me about it all the time. It has a spot for an eraser and a spot for extra lead. I paid 18 dollars for it but I love it.

@@agent0422 I meant you could put a metal jacket on a basic Kuru Toga or Kuru Toga pipe slide (the latter if you want a faster turn rate) if you care that much about the external body.
The machined aluminium jacket is only for the basic and the pipe slide.
Now, I want an obsolete pencil for absolutely no reason… I don’t even write that much anymore 😂😆

So nostalgic. We used to use that 2mm lead pencil. You had to sharpen the lead to use it and that was soo irritating!
Put a Pentel energel refill into a Lamy 2000 Rollerball, and you'll have a beautiful bauhaus pen that writes great.
You'll need spacer in the backend I used a little ball of paper towel.

I have enough pen and pencils to last the rest of my life, yet I have none of these. NONE OF THESE. I feel rob somehow. I usually buy a box of pencils or pens so it's how I have so many. I use them and they finish quickly. I would choose writing over anything. I subscribed when I saw the first clip that randomly popped up on my feed. Keep making your videos I will always be watching lol.

this vid just reignited by japanese pen and pencil obsession lol. my favorite is Sakura Sumo 0.9mm mechanical pencil, i have 6 of them and only use Pentel Ain Stein 0.9mm 2B lead for sketching. I can't stand any othen pencils.

you don't make both lines at the same time! 1:19 this pen won an award and you can underline with the thin pen at a normal writing angle or highlight/mark with the other side... 😁 ofc you can make both lines at the same time, too, but that's not what makes this pen so special, hehe

Wrong on all accounts regarding the Kuru Toga Dive:
- there is no motor, it is pressure operated
- it is rotating and not self sharpening
-the body is not made out of metal although it looks like it

Hold on i might need that lefthanded pen my family got alot of lefthanders including me and my brother it's a genetic thing and my mom use to be able to write with both hands not at the same time both write well in both hands separately but she started writing on her right hand more losing the ability to write with her left but we still got inherited it.

How is the kuru toga dive be sold at ¥25000(about 163usd) in his store while it's retailing for ¥11000(about 71usd). I see a similar trend with other stationaries as well.
I know it's global shipping and i do appreciate the videos and stuff but exploiting people outside of Asia, thinking they won't know how much it's actually worth is just unacceptable. I hope the owner adjust the prices so that it looks less like a scam considering he's doubling the prices with a lot of the products.
