Not sure why you say the items are weird. They are not weird, they are very special and unique.

They ARE weird, they’re interesting and strange and odd. They simply aren’t typical. The way he phrased it was a little less polite than ‘unique’, but you can tell that’s the way he’s using it. He’s not wrong, these products aren’t normal - and ‘not normal’ is all ‘weird’ is.
