A customer has asked me to attend to their driveway with tarmac paint. This video has been a massive help regarding understanding the problem, prep, differences in products and application. Many thanks.

I have a large Tarmac area to treat, do I need to keep a wet edge when applying Tarmaseal as I doubt I can do it all in one day?

Tarmaseal can be applied / re-applied at any time, if the work is not completed on the same day, it can be completed over subsequent days. Hope that helps. Jake@Smartseal

It is a easy product to work with, compared to some of the ones we supply. I am sure you will get on fine. Regards, Josh@Smartseal

I bought a house which has a tarmac drive but only the base layer has been put down. Its been down about 10 years and is in very good condition (no cracks or potholes). Due to the base layer uses 20mm aggregate, it is not a completely smooth surface. Would it be possible to use this coating on top of a base layer? Will this coating fill the voids where its not completely smooth? The base layer is quite smooth in most places but not all over. The area is about 300m2

Hi, Thanks for your question. Tarmaseal is formulated to soak into the tarmac to replace lost resins. It only has the viscosity of a paint, so will not fill any voids. Hope that helps.

@@SmartsealUk Thanks for the reply. If I was to use it, if the sealer was to 'pool' slightly in small voids would that be ok?

If it is in good condition Dave, 3 x 20 litres of Tarmaseal should be just enough for 2 coats. Hope that helps!
