N Tamayo that’s why I like it too. Both are awesome, but I still prefer Disneyland’s, and I go to both parks regularly.

Everyone knows the Disneyland version (the original) is better. This comparison sounded so biased. A longer ride, doesn’t make it a better one. Plus Disneyland has the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay 4 months out of the year, although this could be a positive or a negative depending on your personal opinion. Even if Japan chose to go with WDW’s version, it doesn’t mean it’s the better version. Japan hasn’t always made the best choices according to their park history. (Look up their original copycat version of Disneyland)

That wouldn’t be right because Going to Disney World is a once and a life time moment (cuz it cost to much) so all the rides need to stay the same so you can experience the original

Frankly, Disneyland is just the better when it comes to Christmas overlays. WDW doesn’t do much for Christmas overlays. “It’s A Small World”, and “Jiggle Cruise” also get overlays in Disneyland. Not sure why WDW doesn’t do this.
Fun fact: There is a certain reason the Haunted Mansion stops frequently. The actual reason why is that the cast members sometimes have to stop the ride in order to help certain guests get on and off the ride.

Sad to see this series goes, as it was cool and interesting to see the differences in the rides that both US Disney Parks share. I remember going on the train ride at Disney World in 2010, but my family got on it at the station in Frontierland and rode it to the station at the front of the Magic Kingdom. It had been at the end of the day and we were pretty tired, so it was a good way to move without actually having to.

2. Disneyland's has the Hatbox Ghost which is one of the main ghost!
3. Technically Disneyland's is the original, not only was made it first, but Disney World's was based on it!

I wouldn’t even want the holiday version because it last half a year.... and by that logic Tokyo has it too so it’s the best version... when you talk about best versions of rides we all know you never consider overlays... second the hatbox ghost is a nice animatronic but we all know it doesn’t make this version better... shows how desperate you are... you only have differences too make your points... and last... I DONT GIVE A FLYING FREAK if it’s the original... because I can come back and say Magic Kingdoms is better because it’s newer... so please try again because The version with more scenes a better queue and overall the longer version of the ride is the best if you still want to argue with me then go ahead and try
The Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride and since I grew up going to Disneyland, that will always be my favorite. When I was able to go on WDW’s version for the first time I was shocked at all the extra scenes at the beginning! They were such a nice surprise and it was amazing to go on the ride not knowing what would happen next.

I think you left out an important factor in Disneyland’s favor: The ghosts that ride with you at the end is much better and fit with the rest of the ride compared to the schlocky cartoon at WDW.

This channel is keeping me sane. ❤️ I live alone in a single bedroom condo & my university is online only this year. All of my friends live either out of state or are super strict on not seeing each other in person. Everything is shut down. And my plans to spend the summer between the beach, Disney, and Six Flags got totally ruined!! This channel is giving me an escape into the real world.
The extra scenes such as the library in the stairs room plus the interactive queue just makes it for me at magic kingdom

As someone who lives near and loves the hell out of Disneyland, I will agree that Disney World's Haunted Mansion is the better of the two. Not only for the reasons you gave, but also for the queue.
However, Phantom Manor in Paris is the superior version out of them all.

I love these comparison videos. You should do a Disneyland Paris comparison too as their Pirates and Small World would knock spots off the WDW versions and their Space Mountain is the best one out of the 3 disney owned parks x

I haven't been to Disney in years but I thought everything was the same but wow I was wrong.
I have had the opportunity to visit both parks (I live in Florida, so Disney World is where I go most) and I was impressed with the differences in the rides, so I enjoyed doing every single ride in Disneyland just to discover what was different.
This channel is by far the best for Disney and other theme parks to be explained to me so thanks
What makes Disneyland’s Haunted better is the Ghost host voice.
Both Mansions use the exact same recordings of Paul Frees as the Ghost Host. The only exceptions are a couple lines exclusive to each version, recorded by Frees during the same session.

Disneyland _1955 Ha ha no space mountain has an overlay we have the jungle Cruise the tea cups also sometimes get an overlay but that’s all we need going to Walt Disney World is an experience like no other and should usually be fair to you first time guest

When I was young and my friends and family would go to Disneyland I would always have to close my eyes and plug my ears the entire ride because I was so scared and obviously adults couldn’t leave me outside the ride so they could go so I was forced to go on...It wasn’t until I was 15 that I finally opened my eyes and saw the ride for the first time 🙈

Very late to the party on this DL VS. WDW ride video, but I’ll still leave my take. The winning point for me on DL’s Haunted Mansion, as to why I think it’s the better version, is when coming out of the stretching room and physically walking past those portraits at your own pace, and watching the busts follow you as you walk left to right in front of them, it’s all much more immersive. It is a mansion you should be able to walk around in the heart of it, in WDW’s you’re immediately thrown onto the buggy. Not having that sense of exploration or freedom is a major loss in points for me, because after the stretching room you’re left with “onto the ride we go”. It’s why the transport-to-hangar bay in rise of the resistance is so captivating and moving, it’s that freedom to roam where you’re not held back. You’re also walking underneath the Disneyland railroad when looking at the portraits, and you’d never know unless you’ve been told, that’s immersion at it’s finest! It’s the only reason why Disneyland’s stretching room ended up being a large scale elevator, so guests could pass under the train tracks. To say the walkthrough portion is less cohesive..?? NOBODY feels a disconnect when standing in the stretching room, do you not walk around and stand in that? So the bit with all of that I completely didn’t agree with..
And as for Tokyo.. that was definitely not the brightest reasoning behind your statement. It was just their own preference and the design of WDW’s Haunted Mansion that fit the park’s design better, Tokyo Disneyland has an overtly Magic Kingdom style anyways and that’s very obvious to see (I.e. Cinderella castle in Tokyo as well). They definitely didn’t pick it because the attraction was leaps and bounds better, or because they wanted the biggest/best. Even then, that just means it’s ANOTHER point to Disneyland because it’s the only mansion with that beautiful victorian architecture out of all the Disney parks in the world! Other than the mansion, all other attractions had respectable results!

i recently rode haunted mansion last weekend and my cousin, sister, grandma, and i never experienced pausing or slowing down. i rode it again because when i went a month before i got scared and now its one of my favorite rides. we also had seen that the river while you wait inline outside had been completely drained

What you have to remember is that magic Kingdom was opened 16 years after Disneyland and had made a number of innovations and technological advancements that they were able to use in magic Kingdom that they could not use in disneyland so it makes a lot of difference a lot of fans don't think of things objectively that way
yeah but the haunted mansions opened very close together, disneyland's opened in 1969 I think and Disney World had haunted mansion ready to go when it opened in 1971

I’m born and raised on Disneyland... BUT... I think WDW’s Haunted Mansion is better 🤭. Just something about it is just a little bit better. I can’t explain it but after riding both of them, I think WDW’s is better!
For me Disneyland is nostalgic and Magic Kingdoms is spookier. My kid who is a huge Haunted Mansion fan had his eyes closed when we went to FL 😂

Although we compared haunted mansions, it’s important to note Disneyland Paris’s Phantom Manor and Hong Kong’s Mystic manor. And those are just so highly technologically advanced and have some of the best effects; mostly mystic.
