My parents visited WDW when the cake castle was up and to this day they still have a picture of them in front of the cake castle in our living room. It's such an iconic picture of my parents that I really don't mind the cake castle and actually always dreamed of going and seeing it in person when I was younger and thought the castle was always decorated like that.
Tbh those 2 are my favorite. When stitch took over the magic kingdom. I'd love it, if on the last day that his attraction is open they would do it again
I saw the candy castle as a kid and it blew my mind. I have such fond memories of it with my parents. I wonder what they’ll do for 50 years? I wish they would give the other parks distinct castles for other princesses.
I have some very fond memories of the birthday castle cake, as I did take a trip to Disney World during that particular celebration when I was eight. It led to me gaining a rather strange fascination with milestone celebrations in general, which includes certain Google Doodles as an iconic modern-day equivalent.
@@emilioxd6140 It was a pretty sneaky and clever marketing campaign for a mediocre ride with really only one visiting factor in the Stitch animatronic.
I wish they hadn't blocked the Beast's castle with rocks or made the castle bigger. I really hope one day I get to eat in the Be Our Guest restaurant, though.
Jackie's Literary Corner I ate at the BOG restaurant roughly 8 years ago maybe? It was amazinggggg and super gorgeous! We were super lucky because we didn’t know you had to have reservations and we were still able to get a table.
Yeah I think the forced prospective was a 50% success because it does work but only from certain angles and distances. But I think they didn’t want to make the Beast’s castle too big so it didn’t compete with Cinderella’s castle. But then again Space Mountain is huge so I really don’t know why they had to make Beast’s castle so small 😭
When i was a cast member, i would tell families Willie the Giant forgot to put his toy crane away...children were amazed thinking it was a humongous toy and it made the parents smile
We were at WDW during the birthday cake fiasco. My wife loved the stupid thing so much that she purchased one of those expensive models of the castle. You know...the limited edition resin castle mounted on a fancy wooden base with an engraved brass plate and all. Numbered and signed by the artist who designed it. WOW!!!! It now sits proudly in our curio cabinet and I get to look at that ugly thing every day. Greatness!!!!
The first “castle mistake” in your video just so happened to be a once in a lifetime thing that some people could’ve been lucky enough to see. I haven’t watched the rest of the video. Some of these castle “mistakes” might have been cool to see. For some people it could be a great picture.
Stitch Castle was cool. Imagine being those lucky people who got to see it for that one day and got pictures. Also the crane doesn't ruin your pictures, all the random people in the background ruin the pictures lol The cake castle looks amazing as well looks like a giant balloon. Fits in well with fun Disney theme. Okay the Beast Castle and Hong Kong was very disappointing.
The 2005-2006 Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World was my favorite version. It was so beautiful with the golden sculptures of the characters and the part that would display the different castles in the different parks. I'm glad I got to see it twice.
The beauty in the beast castle was the biggest let down in Disney park history tbh. They hyped it up so much that people thought it was gonna be as magical as the Hogwarts castle in Islands of Adventure or the Cinderella castle itself.
I was disappointed by its size.... it felt like you were too far away from it to be going into the castle. Honestly yeah.... they should have done like Hogwarts, that would have been incredible! But I just wanted to eat inside it and it was still amazing on the inside. Just the castle was a let down.
Cake Castle could have been a promo for Wreck It Ralph; an homage to Sugar Rush. It was amazing nonetheless. Hong Hong Castle is probably the least spectacular in comparison
The cake castle was SICK and there's no way around the crane problem that beauty and the beast one I can't believe they didn't think through all the views and angles.
Man, the original concept for Hong Kong Disneyland's new Castle is much better and more elaborate. The new one is like so forced and very "un-Disney" at all. The Stitch Castle is hilarious! Even though I didn't saw the Birthday Cake castle in personal, I find it not beautiful. My favorite overlay is the 50th and 60th of Disneyland Resort anniversary.
I THINK the toilet paper thing is awesome because imagine going to disney to see some awesome decorations for one day only. you can always go back one day to disney.
I would love to have a unique picture of the castle. The original is always there and even if you only had one opportunity to go to Disney, you were lucky to be there in a special day. It’s my opinion though. I respect if you would like to see the normal castle. ☺️
disney should make a rollercoaster about Lilo and Stitch, Its about aliens coming for stitch, But they messed up! They started a tsunami and its a water rollercoaster that has many mild drops and turns, But at the end they have the big drop, About 50 ft or so
It's 2023 and I got curious so I looked up the Hong Kong Disney Castle and it thankfully doesn't look bad. They gave it a cream, blue and pink color theme which looks better then the yellow and orange. So at least things worked out there.
I love that stitch is finally more noticed that for a day they made his scheme visible 😂who cares about pictures they should keep it! Stitch is a wonderful creature and for them to have done that, guest should be proud not ashamed of them 😂😂💙💙
I will never understand the flack about the Stitch castle… like it was there for A DAY. Big deal if you didn’t get the perfect picture~ that one day. Go back the next day. Do people really only go to Disney World for one day? When the crane is there to hang decorations, it’s there for days or weeks. And they have to do that, it’s necessary. So I think you can handle one day. Especially since it was funny and cute and adorable, and great theming and character play. And if you were there for that ONE DAY, you got a special experience that no one else got. So you should feel lucky. As for the “they didn’t tell anyone” argument, Disney doesn’t have to tell you. kristenx0 well I see wym but Disney is all about the experience. It’s not life-altering, it’s a bit dramatic to actually be upset but you could definitely be disappointed. Ppl come all around to visit. And trust me girl, there are a lot of ppl that go to Disney for one day...sometimes thats all they can afford for a few pll

The only disappointing thing about the cake castle is that I went there in December of 1995 while it was being put together. The castle had all scaffolding around it which ruined any pictures.
I think I am the only one of the people who likes the Birthday cake castle form the 25 anniversary XD I remember going to disney that year and thought the birthday castle was really cool! Plus its good enough to eat lol. XD
I like it too, it's pretty colorful and looks actually delicious. But I can easily see why people would be annoyed by it since most of the time a visit to Disney World is a once in a lifetime thing.
I saw it in person when my family went to Disney World for the first time when I was 11. At the time we were disappointed but now we have gone back several times since then and have seen the castle the way it was supposed to be. Now we look back and think it was cool and unique that we saw it as a cake!
I think the Birthday Cake Castle is definitely the worst by far haha There's always a lot more uproar when anything happens to Disney World because it's the main resort globally (even compared to Disney Land) and therefore people are paying 1000's to visit for in a lot of cases a once in a lifetime trip and therefore don't want this ruined by things like that horrific overlay. The Stitch one was clever and although some people didn't like it, if you were staying longer than a day (which most non-local guests do) then you could see the castle in it's full glory I'm really happy to see what they've done for the 50th anniversary. It's a lot more understated and just adds a bit of festivities without massively changing the castle
i never knew the giant inflatable stitch was used for great escape marketing! my family took my brother and i to wdw in summer of 2003 and that stitch was still there, just in a different area. we even took a picture of it because my brother was obsessed with the movie 😬
Also recommend it for lunch, it's not as fancy and exciting as the dinner experience, but it's still a fun experience. Especially recommend doing it for lunch during winter.
The Hong Kong castle will evolve until I’m certain it is done right! But that horrible beast castle is a joke! It looks like a dollhouse was placed on top. The perspective is really off! I’m surprised that it has lasted this long, as I’m sure imagineers are kicking themselves for the rather lackluster result, especially when the rest of new Fantasyland was so well done!
Ok I may be alone here, but I loved the 25th Anniversary cake castle! I have pictures somewhere. Honestly I hope they do something as crazy for the 50th.
I do remember the birthday cake castle at the Magic Kingdom. It's one of my earliest Disney World memories. I was going to see it in person in 1998, however my mom got concerned thought I was going to freak out on a ride and just my mom and dad went. I did visit Walt Disney World for the first time in 2003 and got to see Cinderella Castle as is.
They're all terrible mistakes but it is very funny that people are embracing the crane. I have heard that it has been dubbed "Ichabod." While it is sort of ugly to see, from just the right angle it actually looks like an extra castle spire.

The Stitch one was clever and although some people didn't like it, if you were staying longer than a day (which most non-local guests do) then you could see the castle in it's full glory
I'm really happy to see what they've done for the 50th anniversary. It's a lot more understated and just adds a bit of festivities without massively changing the castle
i never knew the giant inflatable stitch was used for great escape marketing! my family took my brother and i to wdw in summer of 2003 and that stitch was still there, just in a different area. we even took a picture of it because my brother was obsessed with the movie 😬
petrikovler Where was it?
The crane stayed the whole time during my stay at Disney 😂
Mable Fox LUCKY
*nice*
i went around September-October and no crane for me

Hong Kong’s new castle looks good to me
Same
I recommend eating at the beats castle for dinner/supper,ITS AMAZING!!!!
Hermione Granger in what park is located ??
Also recommend it for lunch, it's not as fancy and exciting as the dinner experience, but it's still a fun experience. Especially recommend doing it for lunch during winter.
Hermione Granger your right
It is really good.
I love the beasts it's beautify pertfect
OMG I LOVE STITCH AND YES I LIKED WHAT STITCH DID TO THE CASTLE XD
The Hong Kong castle will evolve until I’m certain it is done right! But that horrible beast castle is a joke! It looks like a dollhouse was placed on top. The perspective is really off! I’m surprised that it has lasted this long, as I’m sure imagineers are kicking themselves for the rather lackluster result, especially when the rest of new Fantasyland was so well done!
I found the stitch castle 🏰 really funny I 😂😂😂
I did too
I LOVE the birthday cake castle I wish I could have had a picture with it😅❤ I don't understand why a lot of people don't like it
I liked the birthday cake castle!!!
The stitch one was freaking amazing
Hello I love your channel but can you do more Disneyland videos? Thanks!
Everyone worship the crane.
The stitch castle was pretty good in my opinion!
Ok I may be alone here, but I loved the 25th Anniversary cake castle! I have pictures somewhere. Honestly I hope they do something as crazy for the 50th.
50th 2021!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nooooo please noooo
It was awesome as a child I thought it was great! So excited to celebrate the 50th next year.
It’s sad. They only put a SIGN for the 50th and had merch
I love the birthday cake castle
my parents were there for the birthday cake castle. my mum( British) describes it being the highlight of her trip and a little girl's dream come true.
I think the birthday one is cute 😍😍
The Hong-Kong Castle. The castle should have been like the first picture
At 2:11 you can see stitch sitting on top of the castle!!!
ANNABELLA DEROSA i have the same name as u
ANABELLA DECARLO you both don’t have the same last name though right?
That inflatable icing must taste really good
They're all terrible mistakes but it is very funny that people are embracing the crane. I have heard that it has been dubbed "Ichabod." While it is sort of ugly to see, from just the right angle it actually looks like an extra castle spire.
Black movies
I love the stitch stuff, I would've flipped out and told everyone who'd listen
AND I LOVE THE CAKE CASTLE. it's so cute
I’m in the Florida Disney world Art of Animation resort watching this 😆
