The reason I was shocked is because many years ago, my friend & I were working with Poison on a project and one of those summers, Dokken toured with them. Don had broken a leg and was hobbling around the stage all doped up on painkillers.🥴 At one point, he decided it'd be a good idea to twirl his mic stand around and clobbered poor Jeff on the head, making him bleed. 🤕
Because Jeff & I had a mutual friend, we exchanged some emails (also with Reb Beach, who was with them at the time) after that and discussed the incident. Believe it or not, Jeff told me about leaving Dokken before it was made public. He's a great guy.

Mark Chang , Lynch is easily one of the top few guitarists to burn through the 80s. He tore the band apart, and deserves blame there, but he is also what took the band from very good to one of a kind phenomenal. I spotted you call him "overrated" in another comment... pffft... not even remotely.

Everyone gives Don a hard time about his vocals, but age, throat surgery and stomach cancer/treatments will change your voice. It is sad he doesn't have as much pitch as he did, but at least the guys got back together long enough to do this. I did hear a recent live version of one of their tunes and Don managed to do his legendary higher pitch for a verse. If I find it,I'll post it. But Jeff, George and Mick still definitely got and Don is trying. The unofficial video without overdub sounds better, it's hard hear some though

Love Dokken, best 80's Hair Metal band. And hey, remember nobody is the Rolling Stones, time is rarely kind and nobody can stay young forever (except Christie Brinkley--she's def. blessed). The terrible thing about time is that one day it catches up with all of us. And for those who lived (& survived) the 80's, even though it seems like yesterday, those days are long gone. But always remembered. God Bless Don Dokken, George, and the mates, I say...KEEP F***IN' ROCKIN'!!!

There's no way I could hate on these guys. They sound great they've been around for so so so long and they sound very very good and I'm very happy to see that they're all together! One of my favorite bands back in the day and still is.

These guy's rocked at the Monsters of Rock tour at the LA Coliseum - one of only a few sellouts with 80,000 fans going nuts. You'll never see a lineup like that ever again.

@@nekrovanvindicator9471 So enjoying music requires looking good on stage? And dubbed backing vocals makes concerts bad? thats actually done for people who want to enjoy it as much as possible instead of sounding like shit when one man tries to sing two parts. overdubbed vocals arent a big deal to some fans unless they want to whine and nitpick shit.

Smoich Smoicher they all still have it, or none. I've seen George be just as sloppy on guitar as Don is weak vocally in the last few years. Love George, but Jon Levin seems to duplicate the solos better live these days.
