because they live their music! they are so much into it with their heart. Nowadays there are so many bands forcing to get more and more popular, by betraying their own principles. There are great bands nowadays too, but they play music like their older heros (traitor (play thrash metal like sodom, kreator) or visigoth, they could become a big heavy metal band
Trivia: The picture of Juan on the back of the Breaking the Chains album was actually of him playing with Ratt at the Roxy. :) Tom Croucier (Juan's brother) played bass on three songs while Peter Baltes played bass on seven of them on the Breaking The Chains album.
George was always the MVP of the band and the reason why people bought tickets to see them in concert. Don never could accept that and as a result, Don broke up the band in '89 due to his greedy behavior and wanting to take all the money.
Richard Snyder They are most certainly in the same league and in the same level. Celebrity worshipping casual listeners like you who can’t look at anything objectively piss me off.
Would of loved to see Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy's (1981-83) days & George Lynch team up for some heavy metal. Heck, just have George join that TL lineup for an album! Sure being along Don for vocals on some if his ego could stand it.
George - That guitar screams out loud as a true guitar should scream; Jeff - That line of Bass kills me, just awesome; Mick - Electric Drums, killer rhythm; Don - That one and only tone of voice. The 4 of you, brilliant, as ever.
Been a fan since I first heard Breakin' the Chains in 82' or 83'. I rode my BMX mag wheel bike to the record store and bought the album. Been playing guitar ever since and this song is HEAVY!!!! LOVE IT!
I am 100% convinced that these 4 guys bring out the best in each other. The rock world desperately needs this line-up to stay back as long as possible.
Bris Back I agree! There is a certain magic that happens when this original lineup is together- I had cold chills and thought I was 16 again during this video!
Yeah man I totally agree with you. A lot of these “supergroups” get together but never capture what a good band accomplishes. Original lineup is powerful.
I like George's music outside of Dokken, but Dokken is the best singer he's worked with. George is Dokken's best guitarist. I didn't listen to the band without George.
I was 15 and 48 now.you do the math when I fell in love with Dokken and still rock to it today. Hell my 27 yr old son is all he will listen to is the 80s. But my first crush was with Don. God how he stole my heart and still does till this day. Love ya
Of course he's still got it, it's not like he stopped playing for a while. We SHOULD be saying Don's still got it, that dude went through vocal surgery and stomach cancer and he can still sing after all that at 60+ years old.
Holy shit! These guys came out swinging after a long time apart. What a great song and they proved they still have it in spades. Bravo and I truly hope you guys will provide more new material!!
This a freaking jam! The old lineup still has the chemistry. GL is freaking insane guitarist. Been a fan since the beginning. My favorite band from the 80’s.
Dokken was my all time number one band back in the late 80s and early 90s still listening once a year to the old stuff there new stuff is pretty great to keep on Rockin Dokken🐍
This is a miracle song that they worked on together although it was a tough project. Sounds great. I love this. Hope that there is a chance that these members will make another album in the future.
Been a fan since the beginning and have to say that THIS is true Dokken. Everything about it is outstanding. I would love them to put out a complete album of new tunes like this.
That was FANTASTIC! Great to see Don singing in a register that allows him to sound his best. Great music and melodies and George, as usual, is just on fire! Say what you want, but when these 4 people create music music together there is just a chemistry that very few bands ever have!
Makes me think that maybe Don needs Pilson around to help drive him to better harmonize. Great song. Hopefully someday they all get back together for a full album.
Rick Mcginnis Every time I listen to a different instrument, and they are all firing on all cylinders!! This is smokin!! Thank God we still have Don with us also, after his battle with cancer!! Sounding good too!!
when all us children of the 80's get old i wanna go to the same old rockers home this guys go to. Good Old Dokken still Rockin after all these years!! well done, can't wait to hear more.
Christian Winklmeier R. This isn't the original lineup. Juan from Ratt was the bassist before Jeff. Greg Leon was the guitarist before George and Gary Holland was the drummer before Mick. Nice try though.
Mi favorite band ever!, Grow listening all of their masterpiece albums (80's) whole my life....and now these gem!! A blast; Damm! Don's voice is better than I am expected, Pilson is in her 30's definitely what a lucky guy, Mick is the soul of the band and Lynch...well is my guitar hero and this solo is like back to the Back for the Attack era. THANKS DOKKEN!
Dokken was my favorite band back in the day ( I now live in the Coachella Valley and have become immersed in the desert rock scene... ). This sounds awesome! Does this mean there will be new songs? Does it mean a new CD with the original lineup ( ok, after Juan, as someone pointed out )? Does this mean a tour? They are sounding SO FREAKING GOOD here! And I want MORE!
Great effort! It is nice to finally be able to hear Jeff's bass in the mix. George's playing is awesome! Bad ass guitar solo with a lot of emotion! Dokken still riocks!
George had still got it. Don's voice may not be the same, but he has learned to adjust, so he doesn't have to hit those high notes anymore. This song definitely surprised me. If the whole album is like this, it could be their best album yet.
And just as all the Lynch worshipers say Don can't sing anymore (without listening to his modern singing at all) they hear this... and then blame it on auto-tune.

Not really original, but more so classic lineup. Original had Juan Croucier (Ratt) on bass before Jeff Pilson.

The kids of today don’t know how to rock like their predecessors. Dokken still can rock in their 60’s. Best lineup ever. Long live Dokken!
unpredictable guitar solo. George is a genius. Love Dokken
Yup! It’s has such unusual stops and notes where they are really unexpected! His mind and talent are off the charts!

Lynch plays 1 note and you know its him! Great stuff! Great song, old school!

Mick Brown drumming is better than ever before
Probably the best drummer from that 80s "glam" genre

That solo was insane!! George just keeps getting better!! Total monster on guitar and so creative!!
George has always killed it with technical melodic solos that are not just for show but rather to make the song better time and time again.
Favourite guitarist of all time, but first lynch mob album was shit.
@@davidmcgregor2383 I was never a fan of them
This lineup has had a SPECIAL PLACE in my heart for me since 1984. So many memories. This song IS JUST GREAT!!
