The kids of today don’t know how to rock like their predecessors. Dokken still can rock in their 60’s. Best lineup ever. Long live Dokken!
These guys are in their 60's and still rock harder than kids in bands today. Long live (the original line-up of) Dokken!
HardMarch band-Facebook
because they live their music! they are so much into it with their heart. Nowadays there are so many bands forcing to get more and more popular, by betraying their own principles. There are great bands nowadays too, but they play music like their older heros (traitor (play thrash metal like sodom, kreator) or visigoth, they could become a big heavy metal band
Not really original, but more so classic lineup. Original had Juan Croucier (Ratt) on bass before Jeff Pilson.
@@williamjamesayers7719 correct
Trivia: The picture of Juan on the back of the Breaking the Chains album was actually of him playing with Ratt at the Roxy. :)
Tom Croucier (Juan's brother) played bass on three songs while Peter Baltes played bass on seven of them on the Breaking The Chains album.
George - That guitar screams out loud as a true guitar should scream; Jeff - That line of Bass kills me, just awesome; Mick - Electric Drums, killer rhythm; Don - That one and only tone of voice. The 4 of you, brilliant, as ever.
Lynch plays 1 note and you know its him! Great stuff! Great song, old school!
Levin plays 1 note and you can't figure out if its Lynch.
Playing George LYNCH riffs and trying to play his solos is one thing, dude is not MR. SCARY!! LYNCH IS A LEGEND!! Not in the same league!!!
@@spartansquid5931 true dat!!!
Richard Snyder They are most certainly in the same league and in the same level. Celebrity worshipping casual listeners like you who can’t look at anything objectively piss me off.
Would of loved to see Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy's (1981-83) days & George Lynch team up for some heavy metal. Heck, just have George join that TL lineup for an album! Sure being along Don for vocals on some if his ego could stand it.
unpredictable guitar solo. George is a genius. Love Dokken
Yup! It’s has such unusual stops and notes where they are really unexpected! His mind and talent are off the charts!
@@JJG5150 oh yeah
And he calls himself just a simple blues player.
@@Android18readordie and I kinda think he is, but, you know, he's just a blues player, like Steve Ray Vaughan, it's simple but noooot so simple. LOL.
I am 100% convinced that these 4 guys bring out the best in each other. The rock world desperately needs this line-up to stay back as long as possible.
Bris Back I agree! There is a certain magic that happens when this original lineup is together- I had cold chills and thought I was 16 again during this video!
Yeah man I totally agree with you. A lot of these “supergroups” get together but never capture what a good band accomplishes. Original lineup is powerful.
absolutely
Actually, this isn't the original line up. Juan Croucier was on bass before Jeff. But this is the line up that counts.
I like George's music outside of Dokken, but Dokken is the best singer he's worked with. George is Dokken's best guitarist. I didn't listen to the band without George.
Mick Brown drumming is better than ever before
Probably the best drummer from that 80s "glam" genre
@@antimurphy8212 what about alex van halen or Bob blotzer?
@@antimurphy8212 Probably one of the best..!! 😎😊👍
Mick has since retired from music I don't think Mick owns a drum kit anymore I read that in an interview
This lineup has had a SPECIAL PLACE in my heart for me since 1984. So many memories. This song IS JUST GREAT!!
LAST PHARAOH it warms my soul a bit hearing this. Dokken was one of my top three bands in the 80s.
xblackcatx13 666 I LOVE Dokken. Since day one. 🤘🤘🤘
George has to be one of the most creative guitar players ever in rock music.
I always thought he was way under rated he’s a total badass
@@kimbeasley7347 Not sure he was ever underrated
30 years of listening to you, and still today, you still are ear candy to my ears.
I have always liked Dokken and I'm happy they're back and can still make great tunes. Beautiful job gentlemen
I've been a Dokken fan for over 28 years, I love his music. Would give anything to meet him at a concert!
That solo was insane!! George just keeps getting better!! Total monster on guitar and so creative!!
George has always killed it with technical melodic solos that are not just for show but rather to make the song better time and time again.
Favourite guitarist of all time, but first lynch mob album was shit.
@@davidmcgregor2383 I was never a fan of them
Old 80's hard rock is coming back in style again old bands still Rock & Rolling
I was 15 and 48 now.you do the math when I fell in love with Dokken and still rock to it today. Hell my 27 yr old son is all he will listen to is the 80s. But my first crush was with Don. God how he stole my heart and still does till this day. Love ya
George lynch !! you legend, that solo rocked harder than any new metal bands could ever do.
Legendary! 30 years and still a DD groupie 🤘🤘
The classic line up it's back?...
I'm so happy for that!
Thanks Don, George, Jeff and Mick!
You made my day!
I'm fan since 1988!
I have been a fan of them since 1981 wgeb they came out with the Album "Dokken" with the song Breaking the Chains
Greatest band of all time period. This song is growing on me. Dokken you still have that magic.
Dokken is great... a beautiful fragment of this glorious band
I am rather surprised... Pretty cool tune. George has still got it... The whole band does. Kudos guys!!
se lo han ganado lynch es ioncreible a pesar de los años
Of course he's still got it, it's not like he stopped playing for a while. We SHOULD be saying Don's still got it, that dude went through vocal surgery and stomach cancer and he can still sing after all that at 60+ years old.
This a freaking jam! The old lineup still has the chemistry. GL is freaking insane guitarist. Been a fan since the beginning. My favorite band from the 80’s.
Dokken is a very great band. They were one of the first band I've listened to before I got into Heavy Metal and I still love this band.
Holy shit! These guys came out swinging after a long time apart. What a great song and they proved they still have it in spades. Bravo and I truly hope you guys will provide more new material!!
This is a miracle song that they worked on together although it was a tough project. Sounds great. I love this. Hope that there is a chance that these members will make another album in the future.
Dokken was my all time number one band back in the late 80s and early 90s still listening once a year to the old stuff there new stuff is pretty great to keep on Rockin Dokken🐍
I love that guitar solo
Favorite band of all time. Loved them in 83 when I first heard them. Always will.
Things never change...still a super awesome band!!
A monster song... this type of music doesn’t exist anymore. So glad I was able to see them live in the 80’s...
Been a fan since the beginning and have to say that THIS is true Dokken. Everything about it is outstanding. I would love them to put out a complete album of new tunes like this.
when all us children of the 80's get old i wanna go to the same old rockers home this guys go to. Good Old Dokken still Rockin after all these years!! well done, can't wait to hear more.
Great song, with classic trademarks of the golden days!
Just classic Dokken.
Well done gentlemen. I've been Rokken with Dokken since 1983. Always nice to see you guys!
me too
Don't feel bad! You can rock with them now!
You're only as old as you feel. This music will keep you young, so don't ever stop rockin'!
Mark Chang enjoy the collection. Also Lynch Mob rules! Enjoy!
Yes the Lynch Mob albums are awesome too.
Hey another 48 year old here, and I got to say these guys still have it! So good to hear some of the 80’s bands are still rocking it!
I never thought I would say anything positive about a new Dokken video, but no denying these guys can write a good tune.
Glad to see all the guys back making dam good music together. Rock in with Dokken!
That was FANTASTIC! Great to see Don singing in a register that allows him to sound his best. Great music and melodies and George, as usual, is just on fire! Say what you want, but when these 4 people create music music together there is just a chemistry that very few bands ever have!
one of the best comebacks...nothing like original Dokken and George Lynch....Awesome guys...
Still better than 80% of what's out there now. The band still has it and old Man Dokken can still sing when he stays in his lower range
Rockin with Dokken. This is one of my favorite bands.
Makes me think that maybe Don needs Pilson around to help drive him to better harmonize. Great song. Hopefully someday they all get back together for a full album.
It's a crying shame these guys couldn't have gotten along better...if we could've had DECADES of these four talents churning out music - WOW !! I'm glad to have what we have...but I still wish they'd have never broken up / not stayed together for more time. I'm also thankful I got to see them live twice in the 80's...GREAT STUFF !!!!!
Fantastic !!! The REAL Dokken line up showing us the magic these 4 make together !!
All were composers. And they all were god singers. 4 singers. 4 musicians. Really great Band
So glad to see these guys back together again. Have always loved Dokken! After all this time, seems that it is about the music. Thank you!
My favorite 80s band period great they to see they got back to make a few more albums and tours
Hoot Damn !!!! These boys still got it !!!
I love Stryper !!! Always have . Good day mate !!!
I think you mean the boyz still got it
lo siguen consiguiendo, son estrellas
Just magic when the 4 of them are together!!!! Please tour the US one more time!!!! (For all your loyal fans)
Classic Dokken line up.
the line up is the only good song about it
im a big fan of dokken, but this is bad
lord geoffrey Yup feels like a cash in on the classic line up, as it's not a perminant thing. They've not really adapted well to this century as it sounds dated.
So great that they need to reform the classic line up when it's been clear for many years they don't get on too well (George & Don)
They were supposed to reunite several times but ego got in the way.
To be fair Mark, I haven't heard that much post Lynch material, guess it's been hard for lots of bands from that era to stay relevant to today's scene.
I saw the classic line up a couple of times, but Don is not a great live singer from what I experienced and I loved their studio material.
Isn't that the point? Why would you want the classic lineup to reunite and release modern style music? That's not what these guys do. Jeff tours with Foreigner with only one original member lol. George is the one that experiments, and really it's only his projects that sound more like the 80's and 90's that really do well. Lynch Mob does reasonably well, as does his stuff with Michael Sweet, but how many even heard Project Nfidelikah with Angelo Moore? Or are aware of Ultraphonix with Corey Glover coming in August (same backing band as Nfidelikah)? People expect a certain sound after a while, and it's what these guys excel at.
I Will Forever Love DOKKEN!
I ALWAYS HAVE!
Jeff rocks out pretty hard for a dude who’s almost 60...great to see.
bullshit, dickinson halford and iommi arre much older and none sound as bad as don
weak vocals, stupid lyrics about love, this is fucking shit
and im a big fan of classic dokken
keefriff99
And it's great to see that Mick hasn't lost his smart ass sense of humor... 👍
I just saw Jeff perform with Foreigner last week. He is still awesome and playing like a madman!
I loved Dokken in the 80's and still love them 12/10/ 2018. If you don't realize talent go away.
Titans of Heavy Rock...grateful forever !
I grew up in the 80's and I have always thought Dokken kicked ass. Great guitar riffs and Great singing that only a few "bands" have today. I'll keep Rokken with Dokken.
Great to see them together after all this time. Your Rocken with Dokken.
Sounds classic. Hold it together guys. Life is to damn short. God bless you all
DAMN! This is so GOOD. Everyone is right on. Mick is perfection as is George and Jeff. And Don is dead on with vocals. Gotta get this new CD.
Rick Mcginnis Every time I listen to a different instrument, and they are all firing on all cylinders!! This is smokin!! Thank God we still have Don with us also, after his battle with cancer!! Sounding good too!!
I believe it's only this one new track front loaded onto a live cd.
There's a new CD? They said this video is a one time thing.
Where are their other songs?
One of the best Heavy Metal bands ever been listening to them from day 1 Awesome song welcome back boys!
Damn good stuff. Don knows his limits. Band sounds great.
Yes!!! I love this song! And I’m not just saying it because Dokken is my all time favorite band. The lyrics are awesome, music is great, Don sounds great, George’s solo is awesome! I love the throw backs of old video it made me tear up a little because Dokken meant so much to me growing up and still does. My favorite band of all time has in my opinion done an amazing song! I hope we get more, one more final album one more final tour, would sure make this huge fan happy since I never got to see them live. Job well done fellas! I’m very proud of you and this song! 😊🤘🏻🎶🎸❤️
Freicy Hammer hola
Freicy Hammer sorry no Spanish just hello 😏
Freicy Hammer thank you
Liza Morris: Very kind words Liza, like a longtime fan of Dokken since my childhood, is so emotive read comments like the one you wrote. Never imagine that from a country as far away as Chile, I would get to know the band in person and that Jeff Pilson has been a great personal friend for the last 20 years. See the four 'Dokkenteers' gathered once again is priceless. Cheers & Hugs.
Cristián Pavez that’s wonderful for you!
Jeff and Mick kill it in this jam!!! AWESOME!!!
I can't wait for a new album. Sounds awesome indeed. So much talent in this line up.
It's pure magic when these guys get together and decide to record a song from dons vocals to George lynch playing his amazing guitar style and Jeff with micks backing vocals and rhythm great stuff
This was Don's last good vocal, imo, and I heard his vocals here received some studio help.
George had still got it. Don's voice may not be the same, but he has learned to adjust, so he doesn't have to hit those high notes anymore. This song definitely surprised me. If the whole album is like this, it could be their best album yet.
Dokken is one of those bands you never want to quit listening.
Still powerful. Even their bit of separation did nothing to them musically. They still can produce a kick ass song.
Mi favorite band ever!, Grow listening all of their masterpiece albums (80's) whole my life....and now these gem!! A blast; Damm! Don's voice is better than I am expected, Pilson is in her 30's definitely what a lucky guy, Mick is the soul of the band and Lynch...well is my guitar hero and this solo is like back to the Back for the Attack era. THANKS DOKKEN!
Still my favorite band!
The chemistry still there.
Saw Dokken recently at starland in NJ. They killed it, what a show! Great track! #RokkenwithDokken
Love Dokken. One of my favorites.
That solo alone deserves a Nobel fucking prize! Damn! 🖤🖤🖤🤘🤘🤘
Dokken old man all best for those all new metal bands indeed.....purely lesson of metal music
I'll take it!
Real musicians. Real music. No computer assistance. Pure talent and skill. Young musicians take note.
Amazing track, I love it. Very good production, songwriting, and Don seems to have recovered his voice.
So glad to see the original line up back, I be rockin with Dokken!
Dokken is back!
Glad to see Don sounding like he used to. Wishing all the guys in this band the very best.
YES! 20 years later... better late than never!
im 52 now and have listened dokken since the begining and it s for me again great song great band. excuse me for my english i m a french canadian
Great songs guys! Felt like I was back in 1983! Way to steal the show George, some fine pickin' goin' on there!
Dokken is a phenomenal band. I grew up with these guys in the 80's & they sound just as good perhaps even better now then they did back in the day man. I love the guitar riffs, thunderous percussion, & Don's harmonic voice which gives this band such a signature sound. I have a sentimental attachment to these guys since they were the 1st metal band I ever saw live on stage. They were my first exposure to metal just as I was learning about quality groups in this musical genre. Their bridges, hooks, & vocals are 2nd to none & Don's voice can still be heard meaning it never gets drowned out by drums or solos on the guitar.
I just love these guys because they can switch from passionate ballads to shake the rafters rock n roll so seamlessly. Fantastic fellas! It is a pleasure to welcome you back into the bring the house down fold. :) Nice.
Just when you think you've heard George's best solo's, he presents us with this...Holy crap, he's getting better as he gets older.
And just as all the Lynch worshipers say Don can't sing anymore (without listening to his modern singing at all) they hear this... and then blame it on auto-tune.
I never gave up hope that they would get back together and dam what a testament this song is !!! Keep rocken with Dokken !!! Love these guys !
Don dokken for ever.....
Freakin so awesome to see the original four back together!!! Please give us more!!!!
IT DON'T SOUND LIKE NO ONE ELSE!!!...Good Job Guys!!
A new song I can put headphones and enjoy. Hard to find that these days. Classic Dokken sound. Need more like this.
simply love it! Dokken my band!
Dokken sound just as awesome then in the late 80s. They still rock 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Really Good Song.Lynch Just Tearing It Up & Don Was Singing Better That I Thought He Might!! Well Done Guys
Ahhh the tone of Jeff Pilson always my fav bassist 🙆💯🙏🎶👍🙋
It was a LOT better than I imagined. That's how low my expectations for any new Dokken material were before hitting the play button.
If that's the case then you likely haven't listened to Erase the Slate, Hell to pay, Lightning Strikes Again, or Broken Bones. If your expectations are that low you've likely only listened to Long Way Home. That or you have a very fixed taste in rock.
This is the first time I saw this and it was like they were right back in the 80s....my favorite 80s band of all time and they havent lost it all..Dins voice is just as amazing as it was then and i loved that they out the 80s version of them next to eachnone in the video..thats epic
Don Dokken and George Lynch reunited? Holy sheet!
Let's hope Dokken keeps Rokken!!
Sexy af!
i now right the solo is badass
tremendo cuarteto
Can't wait for their new album, these guys rock just as they did in the past.
Good video, good performance of Don's voice, great to see the original line up together again
Christian Winklmeier R.
This isn't the original lineup. Juan from Ratt was the bassist before Jeff. Greg Leon was the guitarist before George and Gary Holland was the drummer before Mick. Nice try though.
MrNWA4Life I know It. It's better to say classical line up.
