    THANK YOU FOR TAKING ABOUT THE TURNING CHAIN. I’ve watched so many beginner videos and I feel like this is never emphasize. The sides on my squares were always messed up. This is the best explanation video yet. I really appreciate it!

    Drops the loop at 6:29, without skipping a beat says "let's do that again" and does it again, no muss no fuss. That's the mark of an unflappable instructor. Thanks so much!

    as a beginner, I found it valuable to distinguish between stitches and spaces. I have a good grasp on the stitch types. I appreciate the clarity on the placement types for where stitches can go. Thank you!

    I have been crocheting very basically for many years childhood. I’m almost 60 years old. Now that I am retired ,I am enjoying “ learning “ all the new stitches and what the abbreviations mean. I’m a new subscriber and want to say thank you for this awesome tutorial.

    I love you tube for this reason. I am a visual learner and this helps a lot when starting out in crochet. Patterns are Greek to me but now that I have some basic stitches they a little easier to read.

    You have such a pleasant and calming voice. I tend to get really frustrated and impatient learning new stitches and i need a calm teacher. The last woman i watched went so fast and had a very stern and deeper voice and i ended up wanting to throw my phone lol thank you for this video and channel ☺️💕

    Thank for this very helpful tutorial. I liked how you zoomed in on the stitches, so I could see exactly where to insert my needle. You went through how to make the stitch slowly. The perfect tutorial!! This is invaluable for a beginner like myself!

    @Jennifer- Thanks for giving complete instructions for HDC & more importantly, how to make the transition to the next row. • I haven't crocheted in a really long time. And, just went blank. So, this is a great refresher for me, lol. Thank God for RUclips, I don't have to ask anyone & look like a fool, lol.

    Your videos are really great, especially for beginners! I don't know how many "beginner" videos I watched where these women have a whole damn blanket trying to teach me a stitch....I'm not starting with a blanket, I'm starting with nothing lol

    hi! so it's always taught that for the first row we have to go to the chain 3 from the hook to start.But then after that you mentioned the "same pattern", does it count for the second row whether we want to start from the chain 2 or 3 etc? thanks!

    Super easy to follow tutorial. Thank you for going slow and describing the difference between stitch and space.
    One question regarding the single crochet. After the single chain, you went into the third stitch. Why not the first? Is this done only on the first row or should I continue that each time I start a new row.

    I would like to know if the counting of 3 loops or v's is just for the very beginning? So you ever insert hook into the third loop ever again? Thank you! Nancy

      just the beginning... I realized I had been doing it the whole time and my yarn length shortened (duh) ...watched another video and they didn't do it..I dont recommend this video for that
