  • Double crochet is one of the most common stitches used in crochet, so it’s time to learn how to do it!
    I actually don’t make a lot of designs with double crochet (you’ll see why in the video), but it’s important to know how to do it so that you can do the more fun variations: front post double crochet, back post double crochet, seed stitch, basket weave stitch, etc. I’ll have more tutorials on all these more advanced stitches coming up!

    I have been "crocheting" for about 6 months now and why has no one in any other video or irl explained that I was yarning over not enough and pulling through the wrong stitch? Finally!!! We have a capable teacher here on RUclips.

      Just a friendly reminder that title RUclips is a pretty big place and the content you will see, even in search results, is very algorithm driven. There are plenty of capable teachers out there. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the first one RUclips showed you is the only one (or even the one who has been there longest).

    This was very helpful for the last stitch getting done into a turning chain. That's the part that keeps tripping me up

    Oh, thank you so much for this intricate tutorial. All the ither videos I watched just rapidly performed the stitches, started midway through the project, and didn't supply instructions on how to follow onto the next portion, so I learned absolutely nothing. Im a visual learner so those videos that just rush through everything aren't useful at all. Your video is so helpful!

    Thank You. I truly struggled with that part as a newbie. You are a true Gem 💎 of God 🙏🏽❤️.

    Please use light colored yarn for tutorials. It's easier to see the stitches.

    Once you've done the first row, it looks like you go into the 5th chain from the hook when turning.

    Are you crocheting into the back, back facing you, after you make the turning chain?

    I’m confused but shouldn’t it be 17 double crochet if you had 20 minus the 3 for the first stitch?

    • @kristiconine1547
      @kristiconine1547 2 года назад +1

      You should go in the 2nd chain instead of the 3rd
