It depends on how wide you want it. If you do about 12-15 chains and then do 5 feet in length then you're looking at a scarf. If you go 100 chains you could make a scarf that way too but only go about 6 inches down. You can really make anything depending on the the chain and length.

I love your crochet videos. You should make more, and teach how to crochet things such as a granny square, beanie, mittens, sweater, etc.

I'm a guy and, although I'm just barely learning to crochet, I already knit quite a bit.I get more than a few stares too when I do it where others can see, but in the end they say it's pretty awesome that I can do something crafty like knitting. I don't know about you, but I figure you should be able to do as you damn well please without being judged so long as you're not bothering anyone. Happy knitting and crocheting! (: Power to the needles!

My first couple scarfs looked pretty bad but keep going, the more you do the better it will look.

My Grandma taught me and I loved it! ❤ ... Then she "stole" my hook and yarn ball while she made a an amazing scarf! Next thing I know, I forgot what she taught me. 😬She never explained to me what the stitches were called, I just followed them. So I've been watching so many videos to find what she taught me. This is the best video and exactly what I was looking for! 👌
