@@thomasfransson yes I did a great job with this lens in the past. I also had the big brother, the sigma art 50-100mm f1.8, that is also an amazing lens. These 2 lenses are actually the complete package of lenses on a crop sensor. They replace like 5-7 prime lenses
@@thomasfranssonI ended up figuring it out, there is 2 types of MC-11 mounts, the EF-E & SA-E and Amazon nor most of the videos I watched really say there is a difference or what it is. I ended up ordering MC-11 thinking that was right but getting the wrong MC-11 lol
Ah, I see, never thought about that. I think most shooters using the MC-11 adapter comes from Canon so we just assume. Thanks for making me more aware and clearer on these things from now on. Hope you're able to exchange it for the ef version.
@@thomasfransson Yep I was able to! The issue was I bought the Canon sized Sigma lens not the regular Sigma lens. So it fit my friend’s Canon camera but wouldn’t work with my mount and I got confused cause I was like Sigma should fit Sigma? but then their’s also different fits for Sigma and the Canon version is a little bigger and needed the EF-E. Sigma has a chart on their website which helped a lot with figuring that out with lol
me too - absolutely fantastic lens. It's a bit noisy but the image quality is stunning... I'm going to get the other lens to partner with it (50-100) and have that on a stripped back A6500 rig. Love these!@@thomasfransson
There is no e-mount version of this lens. (Or any other mirrorless mount version for that matter) But it's still a great lens for aps-c/s35 cameras with no real competition on the market in terms of range and f1.8 I made a more indepth video on this combo and it's AF performance if the interest should arise in the future. ruclips.net/video/3RfyvaK0HZM/видео.htmlsi=bE_PTt1bjDQ85xpb Cheers!
Hello, thank you very much for your video! do you have the purchase link of your mc11 please? I see that we propose for sigma and for canon, which one do you use in your video? THANKS
I bought mine locally, you can probably pick one up at your local camera store if they sell Sigma lenses. Or try ebay, mpb or KEH online where you can buy a used one for aprox 65% of a new one.
Excellent autofocus!
So happy I kept this lens!
@@thomasfransson it’s an amazing lens. I had one but I sold it 😩
It sure it, i believe the footage you shared a long time ago shot with this lens made me pull the trigger ;)

Looks great! Any funkiness with lens AF noise?
How did you connect the mount to the lens? I got both and the lens seems too big
The Sigma 18-35 used has an EF mount and the mc-11 adapter converts from EF mount to E mount.

Hello! Do you remember the settings you used on FX30 for focus?
Yes, transition at 4 and shift at 5
cheers! Been using this lens for a while and love it on fx30
It's the lens that made me 100% comfortable sticking with aps-c/s35 across 3 systems ;)

Let me know how that combo works, I'm interested in that lens as well.
Is there a reason i see so many people using the adapter? Or is it just because they didn't get the e mount version of the lens.
