FX30 owner here. The Burnano seems to have a much nicer highlight roll off, but to be honest, I prefer the skin tones on the FX30. They don't look as "pink/red."

    • @vhauser416
      @vhauser416 7 месяцев назад +1

Skin tones on Burano and FX3/30 footage can match exactly, so the “pink/red” has been created by them in some capacity. Whether it be not being able to create a consistent grade, or adding the same LUT to both and thinking it’s an equal comparison.

Been a long time viewer and even met Sean when I was working for Grant Cardone, love your guys content and you help a bunch of people. So please understand I say this with love. This video is great and Kraig seems awesome, where Im confused is it seems pretty clear Omar and Nolan are gone and there's no real explanation aside from a video Nolan made from his channel. You guys featured them SO much that not even a mention that you've kind of changed staff to shake things up or really just any statement is looks really weird. Sometimes bad things happen and the impulse is to just not say anything (not saying this is the case) but just some kind of acknowledgment that they are gone in the community page would be really kind as they are still featured heavily even on the home page. Saying this as I run my own media company aside from my filmmaking career and youtube channels. When someone prominent leaves (even if it's a weird situation) we always at least acknowledge it and thank them for their service.

The loupe and grip placement at 1:49 and 2:28 are wild. Tell me you've never used a cinema or ENG camera, without telling me....Reminds me of someone flying FPV for the first time. I'd also be really curious to see the grades on the A and B footage. Probably just dropped a LUT and naively thought "it's all Slog3 anyway". No mention of XOCN seems like a pretty blatant omission as well, or another example of lack of understanding the use case for the Burano. At the end of the day, the comparison is within the context of using either camera for RUclipsrs. In that same vein, your next video might as well compare the storage space of the Toyota RAV4 and a Porsche 911. Well done boys!

You can't compare the two cameras in the way you do it now. You pay that 25k for an 8k camera on a full frame sensor and a whole lot of other options. This is like comparing a multimillion-dollar Formula 1 car against a Fiat Panda. If you test it only at a constant speed of 50 km/h in a straight line. What is the point that you are trying to make? I run the FX30 along with the A7SIII, A7IV and Nikon Z8. Out of the Sony cameras, I like the IQ of the A7IV the best, but it doesn't stay on, lol. The FX30 actually is so close it's not really a contest though if there's ample light. Now lets say I shoot with the Z8 at any resolution/codec. It's as if it comes from a different world in which cameras have a super natural look and it's easily discernable from the Sony footage because it's already beatiful with just a log transform and no grading. The Z8 only stays recording with pricey memory cards, so it doesn't get too much action unfortunately. The Sony's all look alike, which is good for matching.

Gotta be honest, for the price i'm not impressed with the image of the Burano. It's cool that it has AF and IBIS but i think at that price range productions probably prefer image quality over those more consumer friendly features. It's no coincidence feature cinema cameras don't have IBIS and AF when control is everything. I think the new BM URSA Cine is much better in this regard and is actually slightly cheaper despite omitting AF, IBIS.
I seriously doubt the Burano has 16 stops of dynamic range when you'd normally have to get an Alexa 35. CineD tested the Burano DR and it's more like 14 stops not the huge 16 they advertised.

Sony is a technology company, they always prioritize specs over what's important in a camera, feels like they will never understand they are doing it wrong. But the fact that most buyers are noobs is not helping, they are selling their cameras anyways, most people are just buying spec sheets.

I looked at it in rewind and realized that the author absolutely does not know why 8K is needed. You'll have to explain it to me.
Human visual acuity is about 60 pixels per degree.
So, 8K is needed to increase the field of view, and this is needed to enhance the effect of presence, because we look at the world with a field of view of about 180°. 7640 (8K) pixels horizontally, divided by visual acuity of 60 pixels per degree and we get a field of view that provides 8K at 128° degrees.
Yes, 128 is not 180 as we see the world, but it’s already enough to get a powerful effect of presence.
However, even these 128° are very difficult to achieve, you need to have a large screen and be close to it - a 75" screen is about a meter away from it. Therefore, few people can really see 8K and its advantages.
The author should delete the channel.

      @@emilhach6264,
I don’t care what you mean by 8K.
But I wrote you the ONLY correct purpose, and the fact that you are repairing the engine through the muffler is solely your problem

@@Steal_ex 8k is the resolution you seem to care about. Obviously, you don't shoot video. We aren't delivering in 8k. Mostly we deliver for 1080p and 4k. There are 12K and higer cameras for video, but no one delivers in 12k,ect. If you are meaning to comment on the delivery resolution, then you are simply commenting on the wrong video. This is about image quality between cameras, not resolution vs. human eyesight.

      @@emilhach6264 ,
I think I made it clear to you that I am not interested in knowing that you are repairing the engine through the exhaust pipe.
There is ONLY ONE purpose of 8K video - to provide a large field of view for a more immersive effect in the atmosphere of what is being displayed. The rest is PERVERTION!

what a meaningless comparison. He knows that comparing a cheap camera against a $$$ one will get views. What next? McLaren vs Honda CIvic?

As an owner of the fx9, fx3 and fx30 i think your conclusion is completely wrong. In order to get the fx3/30 anywjere near the usability and convenience of the fx9 you have to apend a lot of money. Amd you wont get the same image quality as the FX9. If all you do is run and gun youtube content then sure the fx3/30 is a better choice but if you start doing anything else the the fx6/9 is a much more solid option.
Also the fx30's 1080p is absolute hot garbage.
