    The C-295 is a extremly efficient plane in terms of capabilities versus cost. Aditionaly it can be manufactured with a lot of configurarions, making it a very flexible flying platform.

    You've forgoten the grandpa: CASA 212 Aviojet. Indonesia bought a big ammount of these Aviocar planes. That's why Nurtanio become a partnet with CASA. They were very interested in a bigger plane. Indonesia has a large amount of isles, and other places difficult for bigger planes. France, Turkey or South Korea's Air Forces have more planes than Spanish Air force.

    • @Chimpunk729
      @Chimpunk729 Год назад

      Yes and now CASA has remove their production facility to Indonesia. So IPTN (Now PT DI) can produce the plane called C 212i and the local derivatives N 219. Ironically Indonesia "failed" to develop further their version of CN 235, ended at CN 235 - 220 but succeded create diverse function including Maritime Patrol (MPA). Next plan is to have C 295 AEW&C version and develop it locally.

    Didn't expect to see indonesia and spain covered here! Thank you for this video ❤️
    Unfortunately PT. DI still struggle to certificate and sell N-219 so i expect them to focus on this type first before going for N-245 or N-270. There is also a project simmilar to N-270 from a private company called R-80. R-80 is a project from PT. Regio Aviasi Indonesia to become successor of N-250. I heard this program for the first time around 2016-2017 but i didn't here too much progress from this project today.
    I hope you can cover N-250 sometimes in the future! N-250 is extremely revolutionary for indonesia since it is the first aircraft that indonesia make without assistance from foreign countries. N-250 itself is also quite revolutionary because it use fly-by-wire for a regional aircraft and use some kind of CAD to speed up the development.

      Looking at the An-32's engines, they look massive compared to the fuselage, almost comically large. I guess because it's a modified An-26 with raised engines so the bottom nacelle still needs space for the landing gear.

    For some reason, unforeseen serious operational issues have arisen with the RCAF Kingfishers. So much so, that they will not be operational until 2025. Not much information has been released about what is the issue. It has been noted that SAR techs taller than 5’10” have a difficult time moving in the cabin.

    India will likely induct 200 of such aircraft once tata knowhow they will modify it and count will reach atleast 200 cuz similar number of An32 IAF needed to retire by 2030 onwards.

    Unfortunately Korean Air Force which received the planes under offset deal with Indonesia retired the entire fleet early due to poor quality and poor maintenance support. They wanted to get the Casa version but they were given the Indi version.
    Since then, they never looked at another European design till 2015
