My parents once owned a D2 (2002 facelift) went greenlaning regulary BUT always got pressure washed underneath after, to rid of the mud/salt etc. They all rust regardless, but if washed underneath it prolonges the time the tin worm can get to work and always best to underseal 'em if you can.
Needs a rear 1/3rd as it’s rotten under the springs cups. They’re a grand plus fitting. I don’t think it’s worth it tbh. Make as much breaking it. Especially as that was the original plan when I bought it anyway

Shame to see it go down. This is the price of relentless mud-plugging.
I would strip it and use it for parts of the body shells to strip it 😮
I really like those TD5s in that colour, shame about the chassis I’d have welded it but that’s my trade and easy for me 👍🏻🏴
Itll be a damn site worse than it looks. They always are....
@@DrizzDevelopments yes but as we say in Scotland I’m thrawn (stubborn) and and would repair it beyond financial sense 😅👍🏻🏴
😂😂
Another cracking video pal shame to strip it looks tidy on outside then lot of work welding
Yeah it is a tidy one but doesnt matter. Plan was always to use it for parts anyway
It may be worth seeing if The W worx are interested in taking this D2 as is, if you don’t need the loom. They have a RUclips channel and fix up D2’s.
Thanks for the heads up
A rear quarter chassis would fix her up nicely and they are going for good money with a decent chassis.
