    Did you realise that Boab tree is the old 'prison tree'? There is soooooo much to see, and so much history and many stories to be told, between Broome and Halls Creek if you know where to look. Around Halls Creek there is 'China Wall', Caroline Pool, and 'Old Town', not to mention a few Stations that the locals might be heppy to tell you about (you just have to ask/spend a day or two). It's a beautiful part of the world, and especially the Kimberley, but most folk just pass through and miss the lot.

      @turtletrackstravels  16 дней назад

      No we didn’t realise this one was a prison tree, we’ve been to the one near Wyndham. We’ve just done a lot of The Kimberley, started in Kununurra (did Secret Springs track etc) then went across The Gibb River Road, out to Mitchell Falls Plateau and stopped at numerous gorges, Tunnel Creek etc, you can scroll back on our vids to see…. This time we wanted to do the Tanami Desert and Simpson but thanks for the info 👍

      @@turtletrackstravels Interesting to see what you think. We had a nice early morning chat with you guys at Ivanhoe crossing. We did the Tanami up and back in our Sprinter Van, and thought it was quite interesting. Smoother roads on the way back. Pity they are turning it into a proper road. It won't an adventure any more, just another road chockers with caravans.

      @turtletrackstravels  13 дней назад

      @WeHitTheRoad-qo8wn hi guys, great to hear from you. We think the same, it won’t be an adventure anymore when they’ve completed it.We loved the adventure, remoteness and the deafening silence at night 🤩👍

    Hi guys 👋🏻 good idea doing an hour about driving long distance…that’s a good idea but not sure about doing some press-ups on the side of the road 😂 gas did a cracking job on the wheel arch repair 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
    Can I ask what video edit program you use ? And do you use a GoPro to film ?
    Thanks guys enjoyed the video 🤗 can’t wait for the Tanami vid 🤗

    • @turtletrackstravels
      @turtletrackstravels  16 дней назад +1

      Hi Guys, glad you enjoyed it, yes we use a GOPro to film everyday and for editing we just use the Free version on InShot App, it’s really easy to use once you make a few mistakes LOL 😜but just play around with it, good luck 😉

      @turtletrackstravels  15 дней назад +1

      lol 😂 yes it’s odd, apparently it’s due to vandalism. I just googled it and found this article

      @@turtletrackstravels Thanks for that! Just living in multicultural Melbourne where they steal everything and the petrol pumps here are still safe so far.

      Yeah, I think the new bridge over the Fitzroy River opened a year ago but they’re doing lots of other road improvements 👍🤩

    I’ve told you before, if you were a real 4x4er and had no mudflaps that roo would have just shot out under the guard with no damage.. but no, you wouldn’t listen. 🙈
    On a serious note, there is no worse bird than a cockatoo.

    • @turtletrackstravels
      @turtletrackstravels  16 дней назад

      It’s illegal to remove mud flaps on a tray type body vehicle…..
      mudflaps are required on vehicles where they are part of the wheel guard system, such as on some motorbikes and vehicles with a tray type body.
      (Queensland Government)

    • @MrFastFarmer
      @MrFastFarmer 16 дней назад

      @ that’s why no one removes mud flaps, they just fall off… 😉

    • @turtletrackstravels
      @turtletrackstravels  16 дней назад

      Then you have to put them back on, you cannot drive around without them like you suggest

  • @SharonBlair-p2d
    @SharonBlair-p2d 15 дней назад +1
