Looks great! Thanks for your comments in your previous video, really appreciate it. I am finding you fix one thing with a LR D2 and it rewards your hard work by providing you with a new problem. Its the car that keeps on giving! :)
I don't know what they do with them but they must make a fortune even sending them to auction. I know of one chap who sold a fairly valuable car to them becuase it had expensive problems about to rear their heads. At least he could sleep at night knowing he hadn't mis sold it to an enthusiast. 🤷
@@lawrencemonaghan926 It has an MOT on it still from when I bought it back. I should have mentioned that it in EP1! I've got a few months to get it ready for its next one 🤞
Can't believe nobody is shocked at you paying 25 quid for a wash. You must be near London lol. Great price from them. I was offered 80 quid for a shogun that was really tidy😢
I'm about an hour from London on the south coast. I think the wash price was inflated due to writing off their rags 😂 that's a joke about the shogun, I'm assuming you told them where to shove it?
@Final_Drive yeah. Got 700 quid in the end. Clutch was at the top and it had an oil leak. Didn't want to spend on it as I bought a merc. I'd had it seven years without much drama
I know someone who took a mechanically knackered Espace to WBAC and got £1200 for it! Body wise it was perfect with no scratches or dents - they got offered £1200 online and then took it to the local WBAC dealer who couldn’t find any issues and wrote a cheque for the offered amount. About a month later they got a phone call from someone who had bought the car at auction and the gearbox had gone bang while they drove home, they denied any problems with that car and didn’t hear anything again!
Interesting. I have a very good condition 1985 Suzuki SJ413 KJA with documented 93k miles, super rare & insured for £15k on an ‘agreed valuation policy’. Iv been to 3 WBAC huts (just for a laugh, the car is not for sale) - We don’t buy cars of that age or that type. Owning a Land Rover is a love hate relationship. You love it til brakes down & then hate it because of the amount of work involved. I have had Land Rovers & RRCs, had a Defender or top spec D2 as a company car for 8 years. With proper use they’d last 6 months before something stopped working, normal serious with the D2. Keep the faith Man. Having a Land River is it’s own religion, or cult if You prefer.
Pity it's got modified suspension, a young vehicle like that would be worth a lot more as standard. I run 2 D2s, both are valued between 8-10 k by insurance company. One is year 2000 and other 2001. Getting very sort after vehicle's now, I've had 2 strangers wanting to buy mine in last 3 weeks at fuel pumps. And offering big money, will never sell.
Tell me about it! It was lovely when I bought it the first time in 2012. There's a pic in episode 1. The suspension is reversible but unfortunately to fit those wheels and tyres I had to trim the body and that's a one way ticket. Saving it from being scrapped is about all I can now do! Now is definitely the time to be buying a loved one like yours! 👏
“Everywone awound Waitrose” ! Great video !!

@@Final_Drive Thanks mate! I appreciate that. It does just that! lol

Wierd that I took a 2009 mint condition freelander 2 and got offered 895 online...after his calculations I was offered 350. Bloody joke we buy any car

How did it get an MOT with no indicators,,

Thanks! Good luck with your channel! I've just set up a new betta tank myself!
I'm confused, one minute you seat on the right hand side and drive, the next you seat on the left and drive. The quickest conversion I'v seen.

Actually, some cars are worth quite a lot as they are bought and dismantled and used for parts e.g. BMWs, Jags, Landrovers and Mercedes.
We Buy Any Car wouldn't even quote me for my 2011 Mondeo - something about the 330-odd K miles on the clock, I think! ;)
It's only just run in!
They are part of BCAgroupe so give low prices just be aware its because they get a lot of crap as well

I once bought a mgmetro off a mate for £300 and traded in at a car sales where they had a minimum partX of £1000

@@Final_Drive only a minimum p/x because it’s added on to the cost of the car you are buying.

I’d be interested in buying this 👍
Send me a dm on Instagram and I'll give you a heads up when the time comes. Just please don't scrap it 😂 there's a link on my channel page
Could get more than that for the alloys and tyres
There's a few bits on it worth more than they offered! They were most likely just going to scrap it
I’ll buy it 😄

It's not for sale just yet unfortunately!

Why is that scrap?

I'll upload a video when it's going up for sale
Omg! The music. Give it a rest mate. How did it pass MOT?🙉☹️
The audio is not my strong point yet 😂 I have no idea how it passed an MOT. That was 6 months before I bought it
The wheels are illegal for on road use sticking out so far.
It passes MOTs with them on, genuine ones at a reputable garage before you ask 😂
It can pass an MOT with wheels sticking out past the arches but expect a ticket if you get stopped by the old bill.
Wheels are illegal, stick out too far.
Let me buy it
I'll put a video up when it's for sale. I've got a few things planned for it first 👍
£25 for a wash?? ?
I think they had to throw all the cloths away 😂
