It’s been awhile since I last worked on “Little by Little” my 1979 Peterbilt 359 semi-truck. I’ve been awfully busy working on getting “Project Snowman” torn down and the frame blasted and painted before winter set in. Now it’s time to show LBL some love again and install some new goodies.
I’ve been wanting to hook onto a trailer and try out the twinsticks with a load on but was unable to do so as the wiring and air lines for the trailer were removed during the restoration. As such, I took this episode to sweep off the snow and install all of that so I might be able to pull something in the spring. My cousin Rod keeps asking me to come up to his farm and put this truck to work so I guess I’d better get on it.
Enjoy watching the "little by little" progress of this Peterbilt 359 project that's nearing completion and the next #ProjectSnowman, a Kenworth W900A tribute truck to the one used in Smokey and the Bandit and the one after that a 1979 Kenworth K100 cabover that I’m planning to build up like the one used in the trucking movie High Ballin’ with Jerry Reed and Peter Fonda.
I know a little about a lot but not an expert in anything … just doing the best I can, learning as I go ... I do all my own stunts
Subscribe for notifications for future episodes that I do my best to upload weekly including "On The Hunt" where we search out cool old iron for future projects
Note that for some reason RUclips set my channel as made for kids awhile back so if you haven’t been getting notifications, just unsubscribe, re-subscribe and hit the bell to ensure you never miss an episode!

Id notch the front of the deck plate at the front and slide it forward using the pogostick mount to support it.

Just what I was thinking. Should be way more solid that way

And add a strip of rubber to insulate the plates from chaffing as they are aluminium.

Looks good, as was said, consider switching the airlines around so the handles are on the trailer side. And maybe while their off, notch the deck plate and drill holes for pogo and air and over lap the the plate and angle bracket for support along the front of the deck plate. Love your videos they have given me alot of ambition to get my old iron back in the road.

Love seeing this truck transform from how you found it. Can't wait to see the other two trucks take shape. Also ready to see this truck hooked up to that camper if that's still the plan. If I had the knowledge on diesel I would love to find an old rig to pull my camper. But I pull with an 88 Chevrolet Crew cab 1 ton and I know the feeling on the labor of love because this truck is starting to show its age.

Hi Marc. I’m a locomotive engineer from Saskatchewan, not a truck driver, but I love your trucks, and your channel. Just my opinion, but I really hope you are going to give your beautiful Pete a new paint job. That truck is screaming for a nice new coat of paint.....whatever paint scheme you decide on. I hope you stay true to the original colour and paint scheme, but it’s your truck....so ultimately it’s your choice. You’ve done a fantastic job of restoring that beautiful truck, but I believe she needs a new coat of paint to tie it all together imho. Great job, and I love your videos. You have a great channel. Keep ‘em coming. Thanks.

    Dear M.P.
👍👌👏 Very well done again and as always. All you put on the truck looks really nice not to say sharp! ;-) Additionally: The bracket for the pogo stick was a great purchase. Happiness/luck is with the able = you definitely deserve it.
    2) Maaaan, don't worry! The longer it takes = the more videos = the better.
    3) Can't wait to see you two pullin' some grain and I'm eagerly looking forward to hear her roar under load. ;-)
Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards, luck and health to all of you.

Just a tip. That pogo stick has a big spring in the base that allows it to fold over when needed. You don’t need a spring at the top. Also like others said the hoses should be flipped around so the plastic handles are where the glad hands are. Love the rig! Keep up the hard work!

A Pete cold start and a burnout... well holy sh*t. The old Pete purrs like a kitten once she gets going though.... you have to love it. I had no idea that the pop stick plates where that much moolah, Geez Mark when you do go on your next road trip for your next hunt videos, you could grab a whack of those pogo stick plates and sell em or trade em ..if there that are to find and that expensive to buy new...pay for the new shop in no time...lol
Old Pete would look good hauling grain.... I am sure one or both of you would enjoy rolling down the highway on a nice sunny evening heading to the elevator in the Pete. She's looking mighty spiffy, more and more like a highway tractor every time we see her I bet you can't wait to pull the first legit load down the road with her.
You look forward to working on them and we look forward to see how all progress is coming along on them...so I think were all a little attached....dont tell the wife I said that though,....
