This episode continues where Ep.58 left off upgrading wiring and adding more lights and cool to this old 359 Peterbilt. I send off the used headlights buckets I purchased to get polished and while they were away continued to work outside in freezing temperatures to install classic style signal lights on the front fenders. However, at one point is just got too cold to work so I moved into the cab with a space heater. While inside, I upgraded the ai valves to glitter balls (a gift from a fan), glitter switches and I finally engraved the “This Peterbilt is Customer made for…” plaque. Then when the weather warmed up some, I installed the headlights and wired everything up. At night this truck is starting to look like a Christmas tree, but as I always say, “if some is good, more is better” so I’m going to keep adding more lights in future episodes.
Enjoy watching the "little by little" progress of this Peterbilt 359 project that's nearing completion and the next #ProjectSnowman, a Kenworth W900A tribute truck to the one used in Smokey and the Bandit and the one after that a 1979 Kenworth K100 cabover that I’m planning to build up like the one used in the trucking movie High Ballin’ with Jerry Reed and Peter Fonda.
I know a little about a lot but not an expert in anything … just doing the best I can, learning as I go ... I do all my own stunts

She's comin along right minty bud!
I would love to sit and watch this all day and learn from you. Great channel
Marc, paint your new plaque black, then wipe off the face and the paint will stay inside the engraving. Loving the fact you are willing to work in -20°c for us. Thanks.
Very thorough well done again, great content. Your ability to accomplish so much in the cold is amazing. Keepem coming!!!
Working in those temperatures is a sign of dedication, Stay Safe.
And warm!
I've owned a truck going on 10 years you are NEVER DONE but you will love every minute of the torture
Great way to start my day by watching a new twin sticks video. 👍
Please don’t stop your projects, your doing what I would love to do, only the years have caught up with me now so watching you is the next best thing , love it . 👍👍
I love the amber lights.
The name of the rig " Little by Little" is a direct reflection of the owner. Your exuberance over wiring up something as little as a single light is a sight to be seen. So glad I'm here to see it!
I admire your resolve.
Just a loss for words how amazing that interior looks. I’m just simply jealous. Cant wait for more!
looking good brother, I love the movie clip cut aways LOL!
Always a surprise. Never know what he's gonna throw in there. Love it!
Those headlights are so cool!
Every ten minute job is one broken bolt away from becoming three day ordeal
What a joy to sit back and watch a fantastic guy fixing hos old beautiful Pete.
One badass peterbilt
Anything worth doing is doing it right no half ass love 2 c the old truck restorations keep these old trucks running!!!!!!
Good tunes and trucks doesn’t get much better
The orange knobs look a lot better. Good job.
Love the truck
Big fan of old iron
Love it! Black fingernail polish and a papertowel to make those engraved letters pop friend
Haven't been on for a while.... Gotta go back and watch all the videos I've missed. That's good though, this way I can watch them all without waiting.
Great to see your still at it. I really enjoy your channel.
How do you set it up so that when you reply to someone it says " congratulations you got a reply from twin stick" that's pretty cool
I love them old pete's
Wow, it does work and not too badly for laying around for most its life
Well really only it’s last 10 years ... was well taken care of and worked for its 1st 30
Little by Little just got a little brighter. Glad you were able to figure out all them wires. Awesome job 😊👍
“Far from perfect......but perfect from a far” keep up the great work👍👍👍🇦🇺
Man love seeing that Cat in that beautiful truck
Looks great I am enjoying retirement but every now and then I think about heading west chasing the sunset on interstate 40!!!!!!!!
Nice job with the electrical! Lights look awesome! Nice pete !
Thank you for all the great videos. I'm currently building a tiny house on wheels (Skoolie) 2002 Freightliner FS65. Wife asked what's my next project for 2022, said a Kenworth or Peterbilt. Said really, said yes. Guys do boats, cars, pickup trucks. I'm doing a real truck restore. Thank you for the inspiration.
Two things, I don't know if you're using connectors on your wires or solder, but I would always solder. These old trucks shake and give the opportunity for connectors to break...giving way to headaches to find the break. Secondly, lesson 101 on feeding wires into wire loom: Hold the start of the loom, split up, in the crook of your index finger. Start the wire in the split on the end of the loom with your thumb on the same hand as your index and start pulling the loom as you push down on the wires, It will naturally fall into the open loop split......hope this is as clear as mud. I did my own resto mods on old vettes, harleys, etc and really miss it. Wish I was there working with you. Love those old iron ladies....and you are doing it right....just remember to do as good on the hidden items too. Love this stuff!!
Little by Little could be Little by Little is a Lot. Love the way she is coming along.
I have just started watching your channel while researching truck projects and I really like it,and appreciate how clean you keep.so many other channels are f this,gd every other word the hole time.now I'm not knocking people saying wordy durds but when your watching trying to learn something it is annoying
Nice job twin sticks.....
Awesome as usual
Even in Norway, where its just as cold in the winter, theres not anybody doing that sort of hobbywork in temperatures like that. We'll wait till summer!
As they nearly said in 'Jaws':
"You're going to need a bigger alternator"
Awesome job keep it going
In my opinion, the dual round headlight is part of the 359, no ifs and buts. I haven't watched your videos in a minute, been too busy not working. But if you are using the dual rounds and not replacing them with other styles, I'm with you all the way and you have my blessings
The 84/85 359s I drove, that fender marker light was a light. The truck is looking great. Be safe!
I love this truck, and this channel. Thanks for braving the cold and sharing your work with us.
Your doing a great job
Just awsome seeing these old beast being brought back to life👌👌 Especially my favorite with lot of lights👌
Covering the holes on the dash will make you feel so much better its these little job make it worth while
My 1986 359 had those lights on the fender. There was a small oval shaped hole in that tubing right behind the light for the wires. My 1995 378 didn't have them or the turn signals on the fenders. I added them and just used the plastic loom from auto parts store. I think it took me all day to install them.
Looking good
Great video Twin sticks I learned a couple of things from you this time, worth gettin outa bed for
Twinsticks you just made my day. I love the minty old trucks. Keep up the great work.
Nice job!
Love the way you slip in movie clips, God bless!!!
I really enjoy watching your channel. I was a mechanic at Kenworth bad in the mid 80's. Your channel takes me back to those days. I like you music picks as well. I grew up on that stuff. Keep working hard man.
Looking good. Like it. 👌🏼
You're doing a fine job. Looking forward to the next installment. Thanks.
Thanks for the continued entertainment !!
That dash is looking great.
Great video!
The truck is getting there. You don't realise what's involved until you watch something like this. Tractors are much easier and some off them have been a real pain!!!
Great job man On your Peterbilt badge engraving Twin Sticks paint it with black enamel and wipe off the excess and it will look awesome Cheers
You can fill the engraving "Twin Sticks" lettering with black paint.... let the paint set up and then gentlely with a razor blade scrape the paint off the flat surface around the lettering... Trust me it works well for painting engravings to give them detail
This, or even a black Sharpie will work - just press hard all over the engraving, then after it dries use a clean rag with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol (not enough to make the rag soaked, just a little damp) and gently wipe the excess off the top surface and the stuff in the engraving will stay behind. If you wipe off to much, just repeat until you are happy!
Instead of a rag to remove the excess black. Use a piece of paper. It won’t go down inside the engraving and it’ll leave nice crisp edges.
Use finger nail paint you can get any color. Then take finger nail polish remover put on cotton ball and rub over top and clean up and the paint will stay in engraving.
Ah -20 in Alberta... fine working weather for outdoors....especially when your working with brittle wiring, nothing like wire that just wants to snap in your fingers because its cold and old, been there done that... way too many times. Nice job under the hood with your relays and wiring you had to do with the loom and all she looks pretty clean and tidy and that is always a plus for down the road if you ever have to trouble shoot something or add something in Project lights take some time, but man the end result is pretty sweet when you look at the result especially when you see her lit up in the dark and and you can just imagine one day rolling down the highway in her pulling into somewhere to grab a cup of joe and coming out to her all lit up in the night and thinking... "yeah... that's my bad boy all lit up there"
The interior is coming along, all the dash is slowly coming together and the pieces are starting to fall into place and how can you not like the glitter knobs and shifter balls.... pretty sweet. Man some of the subs on this channel sure are some top notch folks to throw some of their pete stuff your way for the project, you got to love how much folks want to give to help make the project get to the finish line.... its pretty awesome Nice idea to do the Pete plate with Twin Sticks on it for the dash, a little personal touch you will have for years down the road.. BTW the guys did a nice job on the lights, for lights that had been sitting out for how long, they made them look pretty spiffy with a polishing... imagine what the truck will look like when its all done with the things polished once your finished up... ooooh baby she will look like a mean machine
The Dude abides.
Decent. Like it when a plan comes together.
Gotta have bling on the inside as well as on the outside! 🤩 Yes, I do think that most truckers like the lights! I’ve ALWAYS liked lights so that people could see me coming and going. Most trucks don’t have very many on the back though. I always put mood lights on the inside as well. The knob balls are cool, and they match the switch covers. The dash plaque is cool and shouldn’t be hard to paint either. That’s a nice touch! 😎 I’m glad that your turn signal didn’t get blown..I’ve heard that if you cross those wires it would destroy the leds, but I guess maybe not. I have some led turn signals that I bought for my old REO when I get it ready. I like having an old truck with new technology installed. You take the best of both worlds and make a special truck. The headlights turned out SWEET! Don’t forget to treat that rust inside the buckets.😳 Little by little! You may need to keep her in the garage for when you just want to go out and tinker on a Friday night or so...a LOT WARMER inside!
Put flame throwers at the end of your stacks and use the nitro switch to activate ! Lol. She’s sure looking snazzy !
Love the new look with the lights.
Another great vid!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome love the channel it's always a good morning when you wake up to a video from TWIN STICKS...
Your truck is looking good. Better each week. Thanks for sharing 👊
Looking mint ! That Peterbilt custom made plate, made the whole dash pop even more . =)
Youuu don't need diesel.... just ether.
Love those glitter orange toggles and buttons real old school.
just wanted to write down my appreciation of your videos...allways interesting and informative .living the dream of all enthusiasts of trucks...oh and love the little movie clips that i normally know straight away 😁 thanks ...Rob from birmingham U.K
Good job, loving the bling. ✨✨
At 16:45 loved the explanation of the function of relays keeping hi amperage from the switch, but delivering it to the device. I have a '66 Ford 3/4 t pickup in restoration that has the old design for the headlights, i.e all the amperage thru the switch to the lamps, Over time the headlights dim, so adding relays will be the solution for me. Thanks for explaining relay functionality .
Looks really great..!!!
Excellent work..!!
Upgrading those signal light is a good idea, the old lights on trucks weren’t that great before they rusted for a couple decades lol!
Great job twinsticks! Another awesome and informative video .
Great work Stix, love that big old Pete
She is looking awesome keep up the good work and stay safe out there
Looking Great! Keep up the good work.
Love the videos. Soon enough little by little is going to be a show truck with how this beauty is coming along.
Getting there! Looking great!
Enjoy your video’s look forward to the next one stay safe
Man she's lookin awesome thanks for the videos
Looks awesome man, you are dedicated working in the bitter cold. I remember when I used to not care how cold it was when I wanted to work on a project I was really excited about, or a customers vehicle that I needed to get done. Cant get over how great those gauges look. The headlights are so much brighter and the bezels/ lenses really cleaned it up. Love the Big Lebowski and the TPB clips. Both two of my absolute favorites!!! Keep up the great work, and I cant wait to see you wrenching on Project Snowman again!!!
And us New Englanders complain when its 30 degrees farenheit out! lol. Excellent video as always Twinsticks, stay warm and stay safe brother!
Great video! I love lights on a rig!!
Looks great!! Those new headlights and polished surrounds look fantastic! Good to see resisting the temptation to put those odd sunshields on the headlights as well!
Brilliant channel. Your a genius at trucks
I did the exact same thing with my Ford ranger, melted my switch for my lights on my roll bar. I know a lot more now haha relays and quality switches are the proper way to go.
Thanx for a good ep. It's fun to follow all you projects. Love old blue, fascinated by projects snowman. I am a trucker from sweden. I drive a 24m, 64ton Tanker. I love what you do and followed you from ep 1. Keep up the good work.
She is a bueaty 🥺🥺😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥💛💛💙💙💙❤❤❤
Quality lights , your be seen miles away now 😂😂. Stay safe . Thanks for sharing 🇬🇧
gettin' there... enjoy watching... can't wait till the lorry goes to paint😁
Удачи в ремонте! Очень классный грузовик!
Love the channel 👍👍
I haven’t even watched yet, but lookin at the thumbnail, you did exactly what I was hoping you would do with the “built for” plate on the dash. I was gonna suggest it a couple weeks ago as I binge watched your entire channel. Nice work. I’m still trying to justify doing this type of work to a Pete 352
Take it from someone who does wiring for a living (on aircraft, not trucks but very similar): crimp terminals are far quicker than soldering and if done right, they'll last longer too because they're less prone to cracking from vibration. Look for AMP ratcheting crimpers at your local auto supply store or on Amazon or Ebay
Agreed we do Motorsport preparation and absolutely won't use solder anywhere, almost every electrical connection failure I come across is down to soldered joints, either via mechanical failure of the joint due to vibration/ harmonics or corrosion,it seems that even a half decent semi exposed mechanical crimp or screw type connector is still less prone to corrosion than a sealed soldered joint. I was reading a post on another video of a guy who's family business has been building specialist trucks(pumps, generators etc). for some of the world's harshest environments for over 80 years and found that solder joints were a common failure( not convenient when the truck is a 1000 miles deep in a jungle or desert)and since abandoning solder in their building process in the 70's have never had an electrical connection failure since, mighty impressive proof indeed!
Good job! Enjoying every moments, always looking forward your next video. You have a friend here in French Canada. You know that Province yes yes Québec. 🤙🏻
Wicked!! And the engraved words can be filled with paint or epoxy to make them black. I used to use India ink. but auto paint you likely already have and would look shiny. Actually would look nice if you used blue for your new engraved words :) Tape over the top words, use a damp Q-tip with solvent to wipe off excess....
Hello I love your videos and how you rebuild those gorgeous trucks is awesome. all the best to you✌
