I did try to leave a comment earlier. Just wanted to say I do rate Sony TV's, I have a 55" Bravia OLED flagship from 2019, and it still works perfectly fine with no burn in what so ever. The remote is very good too. I just use the built in speakers and they do me fine.

Last year, the 85-inch and 75-inch versions of the X95L model had different display panels, with the 85-inch version having a better panel. Therefore, if you bought the 65-inch or 75-inch X95L, you got a lower-quality panel compared to the 85-inch. How are things this year with the Bravia 9 (XR90)? Does the display quality vary depending on the display size? Are there any differences in sound or other features based on the display size?

I only have the 65 inch TV with a small living room, but my gosh has this Bravia 9 exceeded my expectations. I guess maybe it should not exceed expectations at its price point. I initially purchased the A95L and was in absolute awe over a few movies I watched. But then, I watched news and sports which I watch alot of. That is where the A95L fails and falls short with dimming that is hard to deal with. If you are mixed content viewer movies, sports, news, etc, the Bravia 9 is the way to go. If you are solely into movies and streaming A95L might be the best choice. The Bravia 9 really hits the sweet spot for people who watch alot of sports and news.

    I disgree 100% with you.....
I spent 2 hours in BB comparing the LG G4, new Sony Bravia 9, and other LG OLED tvs.......and my conclusion - LG G4 is the winner. It doesn't matter what the specs all these RUclipsrs are claiming, all I know is what I saw for 2 hours. The new LG A11 processor makes a big difference. That new processor on top of whatever algorithm LG implemented this year really boost the performance. The first thing you notice with the LG G4 is how much brighter, how much more depth there is, and also the clarity of the TV is on the G4. The depth and contrast on the G4 along with better tone mapping makes the G4 have a 3D like quality. I've been an avid TV enthusiast for a very long time, and this is the first time in the past 10 years where I am truly blown away with the picture of any TV. Sony IMHO, they are lazy, over priced, and they just wanna maximize their profits on their TVs.
I would recommend to people who hasn't upgraded in the last 5 or 6 years, to buy the LG g4.....it's worth it for sure...... BUT
If you're someone that has never owned an LG OLED TV before, then buy the LG G3......because you'll get a great deal on them and you'll absolutely blown away with the amazing picture.
Just my 2 cents......thanks for your honesty.

I would have agreed with that "the Bravia 9 is the Best TV" if I had gotten it for free like you. Otherwise, I'd much rather hear the goods the bads and the ugly of each TVs as that would help manage expectations when I eventually get the TV, not expecting it to be the "BEST" TV only to be left disappointed if it lacks in some areas compared to other TVs. There is no "Best" TV, each have their pros and cons and is subjective to use cases.

My thoughts exactly, I'm still getting the Bravia 9 and transferring my A95L OLED to another room. While at the store I did see some bloom on the Bravia 9 so it is definitely not gonna beat my A95L in micro contrast but I'm expecting it to have higher HDR impact in bright scenes! I'd happily sacrifice the added cost of the built in speakers for some less expensive ones as I am sure they add to the overall cost of the television. I would guess the majority of people buying this tv already have surround sounds systems, receivers, soundbars already. The again, for casual tv/RUclips surfing when I do not bother firing up my home theater system I guess the internal tv's speakers would be nice.

I bought G4 in August; received a faulty panel and got it exchanged for another G4. Second panel arrived and had burn in that got cleared up within 24 hours. But from that point on I started second guessing my decission which is a shame since this G4 is a perfect tv. I decided to exchange it and got 75” Bravia 9, (getting delivered next week). Did I make a mistake, perhaps, but it’s not like I am getting a bad tv but a best mini led ever made. For my use, watching movies and sports, is great. I like the freedom of led tv and that I don’t have to worry about the burn in. So for me, this may be a better fit than G4, but again, that is a beautiful tv.

Let's say Gamma or the 10 point white balance or the individual color white balance and sometimes they would not have any effect also the advanced contrast enhancer would take affect. Sometimes it would not, it would not stay connected to the Bravia connect app in my iPhone 16 Pro. The Bravia 9 is a good mini-LED, but it's not worth its huge price, it doesn't come below, IIRC, 75" in the UK market, and it's nowhere near as good as even the LG C3 OLED which is far less than half the price at the equivalent screen size, let alone the G4, the Sony A80L or A95L OLEDs.

Great review! Honestly sounds like a dream setup for gaming but that price and those bugs at that price point is a bit iffy but nonetheless the compatibility with the speakers and PS5 would be seamless.
I've used the Bravia TVs in the past when the hype was their new Bravia Engine 3 and the TVs still run today like 10-15 years later no problem, so I do have a soft spot for them but Samsung makes really great options these days.

My brother, this TV is worthy of a giant professional post-production calibration monitor. Sony sells 24 inch professional monitors for $10-15-20,000, and they are Miniled monitors lol Fans of OLED and its absolute black (I have a Sony Oled myself) are disturbed by the fact that an LED screen can be a flagship at this price, but they do not yet realize the rendering gap. OLED is improving, the latest Samsung goes up to 1600 nits! This is not a race. And what matters is what does the TV do with all that light power... does it make us blind? no, it comes close to the human eye in terms of exposure, that's why TCL or Hisense cannot compare to Sony, they have mastered the cinema subject for 40 years, manufacture professional monitors, cameras cinealta, produce films, it is also incomparable in terms of neural engine and upscale. This TV has a natural rendering that is close to the human eye, and as a professional monitor in its design, comes closest to the original work in terms of producing a work. It's expensive, but it's a bomb, it's strong everywhere.

For how long can the G4 would sustain that "theoretical" 3K nits peak brightness? Surely for not more than 5 minutes before it begins to have burn-in marks on the screen. The Bravia 9, at 4K nits, can sustain it for even a day, displaying a static image, and only suffer from temporary image retention at worst, which eventually goes away after some time.
Hence, even if G4 was truly capable of reaching 3K nits peak brightness, it will not be able to last that long, and is still dimmer than the Bravia 9's 4K nits peak.
