I had bought a Toshiba tv 3 year back. It's display panel stopped working after 2yr. They demanded 18K for pannel change. But no doubt picture quality was great. But I will never buy TOSHIBA.
We have TOSHIBA LCD TV (Power TV Series 32") since 2012. Still working well and brightness is as good as new. Never developed any fault. But there were 2 issues from day one. One is the motion blur which is more prominent even when compared to cheaper TVs of that time (HD STB improved motion a lot) and second thing is sound quality, sound starts to crackle when volume is increased even to 50%. Now after 12 years speakers crackle much more than day one and that problem was solved by connecting a soundbar. Although speakers were avg. but audio output via 3.5mm jack and optical audio port is excellent even by todays standards. LCD TVs with CCFL backlight tend to become dimmer over time but this perticular TV from TOSHIBA is still excellent interms of panel brightness and colours. At that time TOSHIBA had just entered the Indian market and TV was made in Indonesia. Maybe since they were just entering the market, they maintained high quality in some parts. Also the brand TOSHIBA was owned by TOSHIBA themselves, but today Hisense owns majority (controlling) stake in TOSHIBA TV business so I can't say Todays TOSHIBA TVs will be as good as before.

@@Rajnikant. yes that's correct U7k is better and new than U6k but according to lots of people who purchased U7k After U6K are not satisfied with picture quality because older U6K model has more accurate colors and picture quality than newer model U7k
