It has come to my attention that this video was a bit dumb, it was intended to be a joke but I guess I did not make it clear enough, so I aplogiise and I will never make a video like this again. I have made a serious video about how usable Windows 8.1 is in 2023 so please watch that instead of this video. • Windows 8.1 in 2023 - ...
    Nothing works.
Ok, this is a video I was meant to upload when Windows 8.1 lost support as a joke but I never ended up uploading it, so I guess I'll post it now as its perfect timing and I also had been pretty busy today so this works out good. I guess enjoy what I made lol.

windows 8.1 is the fastest windows os i've tried so far. everyone just needs to stop making more bad reviews. supports are dead because ms killed it. firefox still has support for it.

Windows 8.1 is the best OS I've used. Fast, beautiful, even consumes less RAM than 7

I have used windows 8.1 on a beefy laptop from that time and i never had issues like you had in the video. That laptop just died early this year so i have a decent amount of experience with the OS. The biggest problem is that you're running it on a Virtual Machine which has Megabytes of VRAM either 120 or 250mb making the OS or any OS, choke itself trying to do many tasks at a time causing a lot of things to crash in the background. Never show a video how good or bad an OS use to be if you're not running it on actual hardware. You're also missing some driver updates.

Windows 8.1 is the OS I grew up with. It was amazing and I never had a problem like you did. It’s just because the OS is old that’s why most apps doesn’t support it. It doesn’t mean you can just make fun of an old version of windows just because it’s old. And it’s even more buggy because you are running it on a virtual machine like wtf. You can’t judge an os if it’s not on real hardware.

I can understand that pain. After the end of support, it is literally useless. Good for me that I have upgraded to Windows 10 way too early as I was scared of this.

The OS doesn't suck. It just doesn't have support from program developers anymore. Windows 8 is still not a good desktop experience tho

    Honestly, build 9878 should’ve been 8.1 imo

Build 9878 was a Windows 10 beta build. But personally, I do agree as well.
