No clickbait, no unnecessary blah blah, No annoying music. Just pure content. Thanks for confirming what I already know. Remember in the movie "Tron Legacy" when Alan ask Richard "What changes or improvements bring the new OS vs the previous one.... Richard replied "Well, this year we put a 12 on the box". Greedy corp wants to makes big money while doing little change as possible. Remember. Windows 10 was supposed to be the last version of the OS and it was supposed to be an evolving OS. Bullshit as usual.
I’d be interested to see how they fare at the end of Windows 11’s life-cycle, as Windows 10 has been through a lot of evolutionary changes that improved performance
While you have a point, Windows 10 was also a part of bloatware adding experiment of Microsoft that eventually resulted in Windows 11 being created. I'd say it evens out.
this doesn't make any sense. When Fedora or Ubuntu release a new version you don't have to wait until the end of the release's life-cycle for the performance to be better than the previous
Windows 10 so useful Windows 11 so beautiful Edit: Windows 10 so stable, Windows 11 full of bug When you still using Windows XP, you think Windows XP is more stable than Windows 10
Thank you so much. You deserve a lot of credit for this video. People don't know how long it takes to do these tests and also record it at the same time. Awesome work bro.
Win11 uses a lot of UWP overlays and doesn't actually touch a lot of the actual code, things like the taskbar are now separate programs instead of being explorer.exe. Leading to a decrease in speed. I think they did this because it was easier to get the aesthetic they wanted so badly.
Yeah totally, i think they added visual things to Windows 10 to make Windows 11 , they didn't modified the Code for sure... This causes more input delay and other bad things...
@@BostYT So until Win11, the Taskbar was actually part of the file explorer, as well as the desktop and window bars. Hence it would be open all the time. In Win11 it's still open all the time, but they put a bunch of overlays on top of it instead of changing the browser itself.
One thing of note, Windows 11 currently isn’t as supported Windows 10, limiting 11’s niche and hampering the few advantages 11 has over 10. I’ve seen multiple reviews and comparisons and long story short, 11 is better for work/projects, while 10 is better for gaming while being the Jack of all traits master of none. With 11 not being as supported and taking up more ram and memory, it will generally mean games will run just as good if not worse than 10. Me personally, unless you’re into video editing and working online, there’s no reason to get 11 at this current time. We also have to keep in mind that you are forced to make a Microsoft account to even use YOUR pc with Windows 11 while giving up more personal data to MS. So for me there’s no reason to “upgrade” to an OS that has no current benefits over its predecessor in exchange for my data and privacy.
Well benefits are different for people. For me it has the benefit of better dark mode (especially Task Manager) that saves my eyes (and my monitor when i move to OLED panel). Plus i just like the look of it better. It reminds me more of the 3D design before Microsoft moved to a minimalistic boxy design with Windows 10 (and 8 before that). Plus Windows Updates are up to 40% smaller. A noticeable difference when doing updates.
@@Raivo_K and that’s fair. Aesthetically I agree with you on that. As for the update sizes, I never had a problem with the sizes to begin with, so that benefit is less pronounced for me especially since 11 still eats a little more ram than 10.
where did you get this information about 11 not being as supported? microsoft makes windows backwards compatible so im not sure how 11 isn't as supported lol. maybe im wrong but i dont think so. also in case it was on purpose, it's "jack of all trades" not "traits" and ram is memory - i think you mean storage.
App Opening tests at 2:30 are slower on Windows 11 every time because the new context menu issues commands after the fade-out animation ends. Why Microsoft still didn't fix this is beyond me.
I tried Windows 11 for a few weeks. But it had a hard time recognizing both of my scanners. Sometimes it worked, but often times not. Downgrade to 10, and they all work fine.
Nothing wrong with just using windows 10! I am, Makes no difference to everything I do. I'm not missing out on particular features. But those features are important, Then go ahead.. Otherwise I don't see the point at least until 10 stops getting supported a few years down the line.

I would like to correct you cuz you upgraded, not downgraded to win10 from win11
You have to bare in mind that your scanners and printers were built for a older operating system. As time goes on and more things are released and built for windows 11 compatibility, windows 10 will become obsolete. Windows 10 have had years of updates to improve performance. Windows 11 will continue to receive improvements. They will stop updating Windows 10 day someday. I personally don't like Windows 11. They removed or changed features that didn't need to be changed. I'm staying with Windows 10 for as long as I can
I took Windows 11 for a spin recently, but the Window Desktop Manager still leaks a ton of RAM, missing features that are really annoying, the fact that Microsoft forces you more and more to use only their apps, etc. The Photos app in Windows 10 has the exact same menus as Windows 11, so Microsoft can easily make Windows 10 look like Windows 11, but would anyone then still be keen on a slower OS? Hopefully Windows 12 will look much better and release when Windows 10 support comes to an end. I'm staying with Windows 10.
I definitely enjoyed this video. I love how you get to the no-frills, straight-to-the-point from the very beginning and engaging later on. Keep going! :D
After i install Windows 11 on my computer i'm starting to have some problems especially opening any games, i install the windows 10 back again because windows 11 gives me a headache.
@@TecnologiaTurk no one were sad they didn't upgrade to vista or some shit and were just happy with xp. heck people still use xp now. 7 was definitely an upgrade and 10 was better. 11 doesn't seem to be doing anything better here
@@rohithkumar8708 Estağfirullah el-azim! Even your name is Rohith Kumar. Kumar means gambling in Turkish and my religion is Islam and in Islam, gambling is obviously not good. Anyways, let's get into that. XP isn't supported anymore. 11 is the best, they revamped the Start menu which is so good. I won't get Windows 10 even if I get dystonia or die if I don't get it. Enjoy your breakfast!
@@TecnologiaTurk i ... don't really know why you have to use my name there. it's not relevant also gambling isn't encouraged here either. but whatever the question isn't about support . people still use xp because it's stable. there's a reason why people didn't switch to vista. the reason being that it's slow, it tried to do many things it was just slow windows 7 just rectified those mistakes and was a huge success , we don't even talk about 8( pretty sure no one regretted not changing to 8 either). there was no regret going to 10 from 7 though. people just junped from 7 to 10 cause it was an upgrade. again..11 is slower than 10 and is very unstable. no one's stopping you from using 11 but objectively arguing it's better when people are this mixed or just regretting shifting to 11 is kind of ignorant
There are a lot of sellers and to activate Windows 11. I tried several sources, including eBay, but they all stopped working after a couple of months.. After a dip research I found a great company and haven't had any issues since. Make sure to buy a retail key in case you want to revert back to Windows 10 you can use the same key for that purpose.
Interesting comparison. I upgraded (if that's the right term) from Windows 10 to 11 and had real issues with compatibility and performance. Multi tasking became problematic and of the few games I play, some simply wouldn't work. I quickly re-installed windows 10 and that's where I'll be staying for now. Of course this is only my experience, others may have had a better outcome. That said, I honestly don't know why we even have 11, wasn't 10 supposed to be the last? Its reached a point of maturity where it works reasonably well, too.
Windows 10 being the last was the bait and switch they needed to get people to move from 7/8 to 10 at the time. Better to lie than risk someone trying an alternative OS, I suppose I'll be testing out Linux Mint tomorrow. I'm hoping that goes well and that Windows 10 really will be the last for me.
That's because you should not upgrade but install clear W11, with removing old settings from previous Windows installations. I upgraded from 10 to 11 and it was way slower than you see on this video (I have many programs running in background), but when I put clear system, everything goes back to normal.
@@cubical97 I've have had no problems upgrading without a clean install. But my reason for staying on 10 is for the aethetics. Windows 11 looks like macOS Toy Edition and needs to mature before I touch it.
I haven't really had much issues with Windows 11, then again my system is debloated. At best the only issue I have had was Warframe performing worse overtime which then again that may just be the game itself considering I haven't taken the time to test it on Windows 10. Beyond that, I'll be sticking with Windows 11 for now, specifically for the appearance. I enjoy how things are a bit more rounded out and not just squares. If you are however looking for a decent Windows 11 solution that doesn't use a lot of RAM, then I would recommend Tiny 11. It's essentially just a very trimmed down version of Windows 11 and it runs quite decently. Only issues with it is that it doesn't come with a browser preinstalled and has compatibility issues with apps such as Steam. Otherwise, for now, you'll be able to stick with just Windows 10. Not much of a difference beyond the two beyond just appearance.
@@bndlett8752 Thanks. Yes have heard of Tiny11 and Ghost Spectre......may give it a go...I'm not a big Windows user thankfully so its not a huge issue...
Since moving to 11, I've had problems with OBS live streaming and the mic inputs. The input is from the camera for audio but it also does it when using laptop mic. The sound cuts off probably when too low or maybe not but it puts the sound onto the live stream like every 5 seconds for 3 seconds. The desktop audio however streams to the live no matter how low the volume is. Never had that problem before.
Just got a Windows 11 laptop and is moving kinda slow. When I try open steam its slow and when I open it up it takes a while to for the password thing to come up and I have to restart the laptop for it to allow me to put in my password.
A lot of people have been having audio issues with Windows 11 that they previously never experienced with Windows 10. And not just with the audio itself, but also with audio software. I have a friend that works with several audio software products, and although the software is made to run on both Windows 10 and 11, he's stopped using Windows 11 for it because of _"an insane amount of weird bugs and issues"._
Note: memory compared in here might just mostly be file cache. It gets automatically freed when any peogram needs some memory. So try filling up memory first and then checking how much is actually free
I like videos like this because it's fast and you feel fairly confident it's unbiased. Cannot think of any reason whatsoever to "upgrade" to Windows 11.
Received my Asus Vivobook 15 i3 laptop last week. It was running sluggish from the first startup, win 11 is not for all PC's I think. Although I was not ready to change to win 10 before updating drivers and applying the latest windows 11 update. So I gave it some time, surprisingly, the laptop seemed to be working fine the next day... But again the day after, it began to show 100% disk usage all time, even when nothing was running in the background. Then I decided to install windows 10 with the media creation tool. And it took merely 8 hours to install( yes, it's sarcasm). At that time I was thinking that there might be some hardware issue with the specific unit I was sent. But, to my surprise the laptop started up quickly and after some important updates was booting in less than 10 secs, which was 1-2 mins in windows 11. 100% disk usage problem was solved right away, and I was running upto 5 applications in the background, like vscode , Chrome, etc. Final Verdict: If you have a beast of a machine, or at least have a decent cpu and GPU in 2022, it's upto you if you want windows 11 or not. But, if you do have a budget friendly PC like me, then don't leave the windows 10 team man. It's far better in my opinion.
@@dashtar don't know, but after installing windows 10 my laptop was still running a little slow but after finishing disk defragmentation and optimising disk, my laptop runs fine now. Not sure but i think my laptop's HDD was not formatted properly or something, nonetheless, my laptop now runs fine
Excellent video comparison. It's clear that within the Windows 11 development lab, Windows 11 developers are more concerned with synthetic benchmark usage, therefore many optimization is done when we throw synthetic workload to the computer. But, living in the real world, what really matters is real world usage tests. And guess what? Windows 10, the much more mature OS with more developed drivers and software edges out (pun intended) Windows 11 most if not all of the time. Of course, noteworthy to say, that both OS is so close to each other, that it's just seconds apart at most times. As of July 2022, Windows 10 is still the better OS for the working people who depends on their computer on a daily basis. Though it's not like upgrading to Windows 11 would mean the end of the world, but you don't have to FOMO because Microsoft is spamming you to upgrade from 10 to 11. Just use 10 until 2025, then upgrade to Windows 12.
@@Byronic19134 Yeah true but like… windows 11 has better UI, better wallpaper, better store, better security and better settings (even OOBE too) And windows 10 UI is meh, even wallpaper, settings is kinda lame, the store is kinda oof, the security is much “weaker” than win 11 and the OOBE is weird🫤 (that’s my opinion)
@@Byronic19134 I would agree, except for certain things that I hate about Windows 11 such as the Start menu not giving an option to show all apps by default, the horribly clunky right click menu, the requirement of a Microsoft Account for home edition, etc... That being said, I still run Windows 11 on my PC and laptop.
These results are nothing like the benchmark results others are getting why is this? For comparison look at ruclips.net/video/1WbS2P_dxOM/видео.html&ab_channel=HowToGuys I'm no white knight for Windows but something isn't right here.
Wow, that was a nice comparison, at the end of the day real world scenarios is what counts. Thanks for the effort you put to make the video. New sub :)
> at the end of the day real world scenarios is what counts I agree with this, which is why I think this wasn't all that good of a test. "The best of 10 tries" is not what it feels like using an OS. If anything, it should be the _worst_ of 10. I don't think it would change the results significantly, but it's still a very important distinction. _If_ opening the settings menu usually takes 10 seconds but sometimes 2 (which is what happened to me on win10 before upgrading), then that's a big problem. The speed of that OS isn't 2 seconds, but 10
I enjoyed seeing the different strengths and weaknesses of both Windows 10 and Windows 11. It will be interesting to see if these change after Windows 11 has had more updates.
the reason windows 11 application opening is slower than windows 10 is because the build of windows 11 you used is a very early build and also since the animations are smoother in windows 11 they open slower on purpose, if windows 10 and 11 had the same animations and a newer build of windows 11 was used, windows 11 would've won most categories... Edit: Windows 10 is kinda faster than windows 11 but not for gaming and also WINDOWS 7 is the goat I recently downgraded from windows 11 to windows 7 and while app compatibility is bad, WINDOWS 7 is a LOT smoother and you could just use the windows 7 extended kernel to run some windows 8/10/11+ applications on windows 7... I heard someone was able to install microsoft windows terminal on windows 7 using the extended kernel...
I would really say having lower ram usage at idle or number of tabs to 5 Gigs of RAM usage is necessarily a good indicator. Having things in memory isn't a bad thing if managed properly. Stressing it to how many tabs it can open in total could have been a better test in my opinion.
Correct, used RAM is not a reliable metric to understand memory pressure for various reasons. MS does an awful job at communicating this within Windows, FWIW. Easily half of these test results are statistically insignificant, or were not repeated and tested as they should. Some simply make no sense as tested (e.g. the download/upload test).
True. On my 32GB desktop it will use way more RAM than what is needed. 10GB with only a few backround apps and a browser, but on my 16GB laptop its around 7GB with almost the exact same apps. Windows will allocate according to how much you have to probably save on cpu time to write new data to the RAM.
@@silverwatchdog on my 8 GB laptop Windows in idle even just uses 3 Gigs of Ram while on 64 GB it uses 12 Gigs for no reason. I also see no disadvantage here, there's no point in not using what's available and it's already known standard on the smartphone market to manage RAM like this.
The biggest flex of windows 11 is, its speed remain the same even after the installation of 6 months, but windows 10 slows down with the passage of time. Its my personal experience, and now I'm using windows 11 latest 23h2 version, that can beat all the previous versions of windows

Wow, 2022 and we still have blinkered fanboys ... all platforms have issues and shady practices ... just use what makes you happy and dont throw shade on those who dont share the same opinion as you
I seem to remember back then there were several issues with GPU drivers leading to slowdowns on windows 11, I would be interested to see how it compares now.
1:52 That wasn't milliseconds, but almost half a second. And considering it takes 5 seconds total, that's a pretty big difference. Up to 10%. That's one of the bigger differences so far
@Hundvd7, very observant, and point well made, however I note that this test was really just to see if there was a "significant" performance difference between the OSs. Your estimate of the difference is about 10%. I tend to agree more with Trigr (ie "milliseconds" is fine with me - maybe 5% diff. by my counting). But anyway, the test itself took "a few" mp3 files and merged them - that's a fair test and only took about 5secs to process, so unless you're going to merge heaps of these things, an upgrade to Win11 isn't justified on this basis. We're nitpicking, but I appreciate that he did the test and I accept his conclusions. I also appreciate you looking closely at the results.
@@1lynton128 Absolutely. I just wanted it to be pointed out because it is always mentioned when Win 11 is lagging behind. Even if it's a tiny difference.
Did you do a control at the beginning? I.e. did you try running both with Windows 10, to ensure that there is no performance difference at baseline? I'm asking because manufacturers sometimes change components (due to supply chain issues etc) without notifying consumers about the change, causing some batches of certain systems to run faster than others. And there's also the issue of the 'silicon lottery', and some hardware having been exposed to harsher storage conditions, among other factors.
I tried it last year. Performance aside, UI (taskbar, file manager, context menus) felt horrible. Felt so refreshing coming back to 10. Unless you need a specific windows 11 feature, better stick to 10
Edit: yes its the same laptop thanks @TechnologicNick you are right! Was hard to see on the phone :) Dont forget even tho you have the same setup on both differences up to 3% might come from manufacturing tolerances (dont just swap the hard drive). For a complete picture you have to do the very same but on reversed hardware, this would eliminate HW manufacturing tolerances.

I love this comparison, but I have one question. The CPU-Z score of 195 is far too low for this CPU. I think it should have scored closer to 400 on single core, suggesting it was in battery saving mode, which would ruin the test for me. Is this true or is 195 a reasonable store for the CPU? Thank you.

Even if you use same spec / same model laptops to test this, they will still have variables on speed based on the components used. Manufacturers will use variety of different components and even brands. To get accurate results, you would have to use the exact same pc with for example dual boot. Also, when we limit the video speed there is a very noticeable difference in the timing when you press enter (or whatever the key may be) to launch your test programs.
I may be wrong, and that issue is not specifically addressed in the video, but I think he used phisically ONE laptop, and only presented it for us as it would be TWO of them. Look at the strange vertical line between the "two" laptops on the screen, and observe for example how the left laptop's power cord "dissapears". Also, he specifies in the beggining that he uses "DELL Latitude", not "two DELL Latitudes"
I bought a pc and had to choose between 11 or 10. Went with 11 since it’s newer. The computer continued to have problems and I got fed up and decided to go for windows 10 and everything was solved. It also simply looks 10x better.
The delay could be a driver related issue between the same internal SSD/HDD or hard drive controllers and the two operating systems which are very slightly different.

The default UI of Window 11 looks awful, but has been stated that the start button can be moved to the right side. There is a tool from what I seen on LTT that can give a classic look of Window 7, but it does cost $5(may have changed since). Overall, I don't personally see a reason to switch to Windows 11 unless you're running a 12th gen CPU with E cores. As from what I watched Windows 11 Scheduler is more efficient. Though you can get Open Shell for free and make your windows layout look like Window 7 for Windows 10. There's also Chris Titus Debloat Windows 10 which can disable telemetry and more on Windows 10. Also I don't know from the couple of comments below it seem like Dark Mode is awful on Windows 10? I have no issue, but I also use Pro instead of Home so maybe that has something to do with it. I mean you can get a Pro License that works fine for $15(sometime less) and have dark mode if it isn't in Home for Windows 10. Plus, 3 years more of service. It doesn't make sense to rush to the next latest iteration of Windows. Heck, by time most Windows 10 user are forced to make that jump due to end of life, Windows 12 will be out and will hopefully be much better. I'll stick to 10 until there's a good reason to need to move on.
Dark mode isn't awful, it's just not as good. When dark corners become light corners on dark background in the dark mode, aliased rounded light edges in Win11 are easier on the eyes. And more of the standard Windows apps come with their own dark mode option rather than inheriting system settings, making new dark mode more customizable. Start can be moved to the left, right side still has the clock, notifications and tray.
This is hilarious, why can't such a massive company design UI you can easily control as a user? Linux has done it so long ago, what is the problem? You can move your taskbar wherever you like.

Network connection would depend on the time of the day, and how much interference in the wifi you get from your neighbors, so it's difficult to say for certain which was fast. To counter this, you can set up a local server on a different machine and connect to it via ethernet through the router.
I wonder what results one would get if one would put Windows 10 on both computers. The delay was so little in most cases that it could depend on other circumstances.
This. To make this test actually meaningful one would have to run it twice switching the OSs on the computers. There could be hardware issues affecting the performance.
All tests but the battery rests should be done when plugged in. To get accurate results you'd have to test it 3 times at least, and then fresh install on the opposite laptops and do 3 more rests to verify any differences that may exist in the silicon. It's a good start.
For startup did you check the startup apps that are on both systems and also run at best performance on power options and not balanced mode . Windows 11 is still in its early stages and it is not fully optimized with systems more than Windows 10.
sounds like its not optimized, which is exactly what he's trying to test. I'm not going to dig into every setting if its slower then what i'm using now i'm not switching
The problem here that you are not using win 11 as way that should be. Win 11 the only advantage is the way how it handle new generation intel properly e-cores / p-cores and allocation memory like DDR5 so the test itself for only cpus should be the same or lack at some points at performance level because of some kernel modification.
It would be better to use the same machine for both versions. The same model isn't enough as there are small changes between each component due to production.
My brother in Christ-- small changes, by random chance, that affect SO MANY aspects? How many small changes are we talking about, and what are the odds?
@timBo Lmao that's soooo wrong. just imagine a graphic card being 20% better just because of production. What's true is when some minor change make that a card or processor take slightly better an OC than another, but we are talking about so small difference that's seeking this is more of a hobby than really seeking better perf.

Windows always had this things when they made one Windows version good and the next one bad. After having Windows 11 for a few days I just got enough of them and installed Manjaro. This was the best decision I made. Consumes a lot less resources, is way more smooth and appealing, and I also get more FPS while gaming.
Sometimes i wish for a mandated Linux. China tried that but Windows is always tempting even for government/public sector to the point that after they tried to ban Windows 8, Microsoft tailor made Windows 10 to China.
This test only applies for this computer, if you are running 12th gen I would definitely use windows 11 because of better task scheduler for new cpu. The network test in itself is flawed because the computers are in different positions and running the test at the same time, heck even in my phone a 1 meter diference can mean 400mbps instead of 500.
There is only one computer, though (you can see how the charger disappears). He installed Windows 10, executed the tests, then installed Windows 11 and did the same.
I'd like to see this same comparison with a 12th or 13th gen intel processor. The scheduler in win 11 is supposedly much more effective at utilizing both p and e cores
Windows 11 represents the involution of operating systems, well into the 20th century it is an aberration that this poor operating system that is copied from another, has barely had a few graphical improvements over the course of 30 years, a coup of super powerful processors, however performance and speed have been significantly reduced. There is less accessibility to the files, the transfer rate is getting lower, it takes more and more time to copy files from the computer to an external storage and that is if you are lucky and the USBStick does not break, with the corresponding loss of data, the “it is safe to remove the hardware” sign is no longer displayed, the search engine neither indexes nor finds anything, it takes forever to index and also does not search inside the files, which it did before, it is more Quickly find things by hand or from memory, you can no longer drag and drop objects to the taskbar for autorun. They sell us antivirus systems when it is the vulnerable system that should have adequate protection… I remember before the devices were plug and play… now it takes you two hours or sometimes days to configure a new device, they have not yet evolved so that data can be pasted into merged Excel cells, takes time to display a file with an absurd “we're working on it” message, and then forces you to hit the ‘ok’ button when that's not what you want. You also can't preview files in the preview pane more than once when you're accessing a remote server, all the while it's asking you if you want to use EDGE as the default program. And better forget about the ridiculous cookie notice when you don't even know what you accept, applications that are just links to web pages, and the excessive need to enter passwords from time to time for increasingly simple things. Nothing has ever made me waste so much time in my life, thanks Windows for 30 years of inefficiency.
i tried both and i recommend staying with windows 10 for now. There is many things that annoy me, f.e. the task bar icons being really small and also if u wanna do basic things like right click -> rename or right click -> extract file you have to click through more things on windows 11 ( they put like an additional layer on it ) which costs u a lot of time if u do it a lot.
you can change taskbar icon size with a registry edit. would be nice there was just an option in settings though. i usually just click twice to rename files and just extract all when i dl zipped folders. the right click menu is actually kinda nice though, since things like copy, paste are easier to do. before you'd have to find them in the submenu, but now they're icons in the first row.
@@iamdopeasfcuk i tried that with the registry edit but its not the same. its scales weirdly. Also the icon then looks bad cuz its just upscaled but not more pixels.

Wait what? What's the taskbar called now?
@@BostYT So until Win11, the Taskbar was actually part of the file explorer, as well as the desktop and window bars. Hence it would be open all the time. In Win11 it's still open all the time, but they put a bunch of overlays on top of it instead of changing the browser itself.
@@Wheagg Hmm. What's the process for the taskbar called though?
Prioritizing aesthetics over functionality for things like software is absolutely insane. Microsoft needs a fucking wakeup call.
I've used my windows account with windows for years, it's a non story tbh, but woo "privacy" 😒
where did you get this information about 11 not being as supported? microsoft makes windows backwards compatible so im not sure how 11 isn't as supported lol. maybe im wrong but i dont think so. also in case it was on purpose, it's "jack of all trades" not "traits" and ram is memory - i think you mean storage.

Better to lie than risk someone trying an alternative OS, I suppose
I'll be testing out Linux Mint tomorrow.

Edit: yes its the same laptop thanks @TechnologicNick you are right! Was hard to see on the phone :)
Dont forget even tho you have the same setup on both differences up to 3% might come from manufacturing tolerances (dont just swap the hard drive).

These tests are done really well!

Don’t forget to clean install to Windows 11 rather than upgrading from Windows Update - Microsoft setup tools
You mean move the Start menu to the left?
Dark mode isn't awful, it's just not as good. When dark corners become light corners on dark background in the dark mode, aliased rounded light edges in Win11 are easier on the eyes. And more of the standard Windows apps come with their own dark mode option rather than inheriting system settings, making new dark mode more customizable.
Start can be moved to the left, right side still has the clock, notifications and tray.
I have Windows 10 Home and Ive never had an issue within dark mode
This is hilarious, why can't such a massive company design UI you can easily control as a user? Linux has done it so long ago, what is the problem?
You can move your taskbar wherever you like.

So I have 32gb ram, is it then more efficient for me to use Windows 11?
Network connection would depend on the time of the day, and how much interference in the wifi you get from your neighbors, so it's difficult to say for certain which was fast.
To counter this, you can set up a local server on a different machine and connect to it via ethernet through the router.
I wonder what results one would get if one would put Windows 10 on both computers. The delay was so little in most cases that it could depend on other circumstances.
This. To make this test actually meaningful one would have to run it twice switching the OSs on the computers. There could be hardware issues affecting the performance.
Thanks for the video, exactly the info I was looking for!
All tests but the battery rests should be done when plugged in. To get accurate results you'd have to test it 3 times at least, and then fresh install on the opposite laptops and do 3 more rests to verify any differences that may exist in the silicon.
It's a good start.
He did state that he ran 10 times and took an average except the internet speed tests which were repeated 5 times.

@@VivekSingh-ik5tv ohhhh....nice.....hope you.......'re doing.....better.
Win 11 is more pleasing to look at idk why
So there's basically no reason other than money for Windows 11 being made lmao
The problem here that you are not using win 11 as way that should be. Win 11 the only advantage is the way how it handle new generation intel properly e-cores / p-cores and allocation memory like DDR5 so the test itself for only cpus should be the same or lack at some points at performance level because of some kernel modification.
It would be better to use the same machine for both versions.
The same model isn't enough as there are small changes between each component due to production.
My brother in Christ-- small changes, by random chance, that affect SO MANY aspects? How many small changes are we talking about, and what are the odds?
@timBo no it doesn't lmao
@timBo Lmao that's soooo wrong. just imagine a graphic card being 20% better just because of production.
What's true is when some minor change make that a card or processor take slightly better an OC than another, but we are talking about so small difference that's seeking this is more of a hobby than really seeking better perf.

I want to downgrade from windows 11 to windows 10 but I’ll lose everything if I downgrade
NOTHING WILL EVER MAKE ME SWITCH FROM WINDOWS 10

i tried both and i recommend staying with windows 10 for now.
