I'd take G70 3.3T because you get way more for your money. And it has such beautiful proportions and side profile. Tlx type S has a nice aggressive diffuser and tips and front grill, but side profile and grill are too long
Have a 2022 G70 3.3T. Still love it everyday I drive it. Recent software update gave all Genesis models wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, except the G70. I mentioned this to my local dealership and was told that G70 will be getting it in a 2025 software update. Here’s hoping this does happen.

G70 alllllllll day. In winter, it's a BEAST. Also does donuts like no tomorrow - winter or summer. If you drive a Type-S, you'll always know the G70 will own you ha ha.. Also can be tuned to produce huge power, which the drivetrain can easily handle unlike the Type-S and it's weak transfer case.
That’s with a water methanol injection system though not pump gas. 500hp is the most you’re seeing with 3.3tt and bolt ons. I watched ah video of ah tuned BMW M340i walk away from ah tuned Genesis G70.
@@5hunnidCG No, CPI uses E85, which is pump gas. A G70 running 93 octane runs a mid 11 1/4 mile and with E30 low 11s. I've seen several videos of G70s walking an M340i, however no one is going to argue.. the M340i B58 is a better platform but the M340i isn't in the same price league either..for the money, the G70 is excellent. The TLX will never touch it. There's actually a Stinger in Korea that makes 1000whp and the only part of the engine that's been beefed up are the head studs. Also - not sure why you referenced the Interga.. not part of the conversation here...

Genesis with the refresh is actually quite elegant, yet not overstyled. Futuristic as well. Genesis and Hyundai design language has been nailing it recently especially with the N72 Vision and the Ionic 3. I find JDM to be a bit overstyled at the moment with the exception of Mazda lineup, the Nissan Z and the GR86. TLX Type-S for nostalgia and Honda fanatacism, G70 for the elegance and understated performance
What do you mean it’s the third best selling model for Genesis? I’d bet if they gave it the same interior as the GV70 (they were both released/refreshed the same year) it would sell 1-3k more per year
I upgraded to the G70 from my 30yo Nissan , if not for horrible dealers I would buy Genesis again. pretty sure the 80s Yugo dealers treated customers better
Are you sure about the wireless Apple Carplay? I was at a dealership this weekend and they swore that all 2025 Genesis including G70 have wireless Carplay.

I'm with you Marcus - TLX Type S all day over this G70. That being said, the front end of that G70 is catchy. There's a distinct Aston Martin with but with split headlights vibe going on... unless it's just the badge that makes me think of Aston Martin

Front wheel drive cars suck! The transmissions are weaker because they're smaller. You have to deal with cv axles that need service. Rear wheel drive transmissions in general,go many miles more than front wheel drive. And when do u joints fail? And who wants to do a burnout with a front wheel drive car? C'mon!! Now, about the styling. Honda and Acuras,in my opinion, don't look good at all. And they haven't for a long time. All those carved out panels don't seem to flow well.Why do you think nobody wants the Acura NSX? The technology is good,but it's got that Japanese styling. Like the Supra, it just doesn't cut it.Look at the Infiniti Essence concept car from over ten years ago. It looks like an Aston Martin,not a Japanese styled car. Why oh why didn't they make this? It's no wonder Nissan went broke and Renault took over. But ugly non flowing styling isn't limited to Acura. Some Toyotas, Hyundai's and Kia's are like this. Infiniti and Lexus have better looking body lines. But the recent Genesis models lead the way in styling. And the latest BMW's,especially the front end of the M4,s? God is that ugly. The BMW X5 and X6? Apply that ugly to an SUV and voila! But the Genesis GV70 and GV80's are both winners. These are all rear wheel drive platforms. No it doesn't. The G70 3.3t is way faster. Sam and throttle house did comparison. It looks aggressive but it has nothing to back it up with. G70 3.3t on the other hand looks luxurious and yet smokes tlx type S. Even Elantra N had a faster lap time.
Resale value is going to nuke the G70. The car isn't super popular and hyundai/genesis just have lower resale value. I'd buy a 2020 G70 over a 2020 TLX because you can get a better deal. But for 2024 cars, TLX Type S is better.
I don't care about resale value. I care about best value for money. And Genesis takes it all day. There are more features you get in G70 that tlx type S doesn't even offer. G70 3.3T is like the Germans, an organic sport sedan in a flesh
I own a G80 and I've had G70 loaners . I test drove a tlx type-s this week because my G80 is absolute "Junk," the G70 is a Sharp looking ride that doesn't Compare to the Acura, which is so much more Refined than the Genesis so please get the Acura , don't cheat Yourself ! Genesis are trash . Buy one and learn the Hard Way !

Genesis looks like a Chinese car trying to copy a German car. No matter, a facelift will just make it look completely different in 2-3 years. No continuity with Korean styling. Shame, if you squint there’s a nice car in there.
Their styling with the refresh is actually really nice. I find the headlights and taillights to be elegant, distinctly asian, but not overstyled as say something JDM. I love JDM, but Genesis and Hyundai are nailing retro futuristic design, especially with the N72 Vision and some of the sedans. Can't complain with the luxurious features. Reliability and durability is in question tho
Love both but give me the G70 anyday of the week over the TLX Type S. Cars so beautiful and I love the interior.

When you talk about trunk space, it should be note that the Genesis has a pass through. The TLX doesn't - you hit some stupid cross bracing.

TLX looks cool, but under powered. For long term TLX owners no timing chain good luck when its hits 100K and its time to replace the belt.
