I've been playing since I was ten (I'm 54 now) and that reaction to a snap hook was priceless, I feel your pain brother! With that regimen, you can't help but improve rapidly, trust the process and take care of your body. I imagine fatigue is going to lead to bad shots until you get used to the workout.

I've never been great at golf, but when the pro at the driving range changed my swing during my lessons it was very awkward at first and my game was shocking. But after about 2 weeks I felt things were really starting to settle and feel nice. Within a month everything was natural and I got down to 13 handicap and played to that handicap with ease. Great content as usual, Matt. 👍🇬🇧

I actually forgot how to swing a club. I was thinking too much and applying too much pressure on myself. Keep pushing, you will be fine. Love the videos and honesty.

When implementing swing change, it is so easy to loose the timing... for me it has a lot to do with disconnecting my upper and lower body because i am concentrating on a swing path or face orientation as opposed to a fluid balanced stance... i really appreciated your positive attitude and i am confident this will pull you through this objective of yours. Thanks for sharing transparently with us.

Matt any changes to what you’ve been doing for as many years as you’ve been doing it are bound to make you feel akward. Don’t stress brother it’s all good. Keep at it and it’ll clean up the more natural it becomes to have your new swing. It seems as you get into the habit of new swings the better they become. Been watching your drop 5 shots videos I legit have them downloaded and man the drills and the lessons I’m getting from you are helping me big time. Your most relatable video yet. The first month after taking lessons to fix my swing, were down right depressing. Makes you question why you are even doing it. But similarly to when I was just starting, there would be those few shots a round where you manage to execute all the changes as intended, and you see a glimmer of hope. Doing swing changes myself right now. Bought a net so I can get tons of practice at home. Seems so easy. Do lots of drills, smooth contact. Get to the golf course and can't hit the ball worth a damn. So frustrating. It seems to take about 8-10 holes of struggling and then I settle down and play decent at the end. It is crazy hard to change your swing. Hang in there. Keep working. Do the drills, bang the ball. It will all click one day.

I know it's difficult but keep this in mind... a BIG part of tournament golf is mental. Days like this will happen and when they do, treat it as your "mental practice." When things aren't going well with your swing/game, focus on how you're reacting to the bad shots and keeping yourself in the right mental space for the next shot. You NEED these days. It's the only way to truly practice the mental game. Glass half full baby!

Let me tell you I really enjoyed this video because I feel like it is the same way for me. You put in the work and set that expectations and then struggle. Hate seeing you struggle but it helps us all out here that are grinding out own goals. Most just post all the great shots, so it is nice to see the whole process.

LOL so many times. I watched your driving video and I’ve been trying to close the grip on my driver and therefore I hit everything left. And it has been so frustrating because occasionally I do it right and I swing to 1 o’clock and I get this beautiful draw and add 15 yards. But it’s been really slow going and very frustrating so I feel your pain. Keep the faith, it’s not an overnight fix.

You got this bro! Keep grinding cause we all know you can do it!
I made HUGE swing changes years ago and didn’t break 85 for about 6 months because of it. Once it all comes together though, it creates more consistent shots and more manageable misses!

Totally with the snap hook off the tee. I had that just this Friday and shot my worst round in years. Every hole was a reload. Turns out I'm pretty sure I was gripping the club to tightly and I was tense due to being in competition. Its the little things too dude, next time you feel yourself getting frustrated, check that grip pressure! Sending loads of love from across the pond!

As I watch you hook left, push right, not knowing which direction the ball's going nest, all I could think was....welcome to my world. Swings changes are always frustrating until they aren't. Keep at it.
