"Even par on an unknown course from the tips is pretty damn impressive!" Indeed, but competing against better players in a tournament environment, is something altogether different.

@@DetVen agreed, I believe the biggest difference between doing this and playing in a tournament is all mental at that point. You can be really good but if you cant stay mentally strong you wont do much.

I remember reading an interview with Lee, way back when he first joined the senior tour and was asked what he'd tell a senior golfer with thoughts of qualifying for the senior tour.
I'm paraphrasing, but he said something like...
Don't even think about it unless you've won your state Am a couple of times, or played on the tour when you were younger, or as you mentioned...you can shoot 6 under from the tips on a course you've never played before.

Pro golf is no joke. I grew up around a bunch of nationally ranked players in Canada. 3 of them are currently on the PGA Tour and are well known. Man it was almost unbelievable how good they were. I've seen one of them shoot -7 for 9 holes without breaking much of a sweat. They are all plus handicaps. With where the tour is now you better be in the gym full time and working on club head speed in a big way. I remember when 300 yard drives where a thing. The first time I played in Texas (a much hotter and dryer place than Canada) I was surprised to see many drives in the 350 plus range. At the top level, distance is a major deal with the types of courses they play. If I could put a number on successfully playing on tour I'd say around 1/1,000,000.
Good luck sir, keep up the hard work.
    "Those guys are good."

Great video! At 5:25 you mention balls aren’t flying as far due to the humidity. Golf balls actually fly farther the higher the humidity. In my experience it’s not too much, but definitely longer. You may not have received as much roll due to moist ground, but it appeared your irons may have carried a little longer than you expected. Good luck!

A lot of times, I think walking off the course that my putting was bad, but after some reflection, I realize that it was my approach shots that failed me. When your shorter irons and wedges leave you long putts, it's tough to shoot low scores. Not to disparage one of the game's greats, but also keep in mind that many pros on tour don't shoot under par on all four rounds in a tourney- you might not be as far off as you think!

It wasn't the Par 3s, it was the fact that you didn't birdie at least 2 of the Par 5s and had long distances in for your 3rd shots - which highlights that you need to crank up that Driver swing speed and also likely redo the bag to add a 3wood so you can get closer on those 2nd shots into Par 5s. Great video. Keep it up.
