As a woman, obsessed with work, I tend to leave things until the pain is so bad it stops me working. My posture has deteriorated in the last year or so, and I was aware of pain at the base of my skull and upper shoulder. Recently I found it difficult to sleep. Touching the muscles caused major pain, on the scale, definitely at the 9. Husband suggested a massage to work through those knots, but I could barely put my own fingers on them without flinching, so no way would I allow anyone else to touch them. Turned to good old YT, and found you. In less than 5 mins, I found I could touch my shoulder muscles and my neck was feeling relief. Now, I realise all this has done is give me instant relief (yay,) and I now need to sort my posture out, but I cannot thank you enough. I feel I can easily incorporate your suggestions into my day. Thank you so much❤ am about to watch your vid on hips now😊

I'm going to try to do these.
My spine from the back of my head down to just below the beltline plays with me every day.
Mostly by the afternoon my neck and shoulders hurt and when I'm getting up my lower back hurts, if I'm riding in a car and hit a bump, my back right below the ribcage and up into the shoulder blades about the height of my armpits sends me a shockwave of pain.
My physical therapist said my entire back, especially along the spine is all knotted up and she worked hard on the trigger points and anywhere she found knot's at, she did her best to work them out.
I've been doing anything I can, walking bending stooping down working in the yard to try and loosen up.
Funny how I can be on my feet for the better part of the day and it's my Neck/Shoulders that hurts instead of my feet.
I certainly appreciate You making these videos and I'm going to learn all the exercises I can learn from here in hopes to do away with as much pain as possible.
Physical therapy only lasted a month, only what the insurance was willing to pay for in home care.
You're a Answer to Prayer Dr.!!

    • @jeffallen3382
      @jeffallen3382 Год назад

@@nemesisy it definitely helps but with me it hasn't gone away completely. My neck is really messed up so I don't think I will ever find a 100% cure.
That being said, it has helped me immensely! There are days when it is worse... If I look down to long or have poor posture while sitting. Those 2 aggravate it the most. Then my neck pain intensifies. That's when these exercises help I feel.
I was having the most pain in my left sind neck to left lower shoulder blade area.. I was also getting hot spots of intense pain if touched all up and down my spine but in random locations. Sone times upper, sometimes lower or a mix of the two along the spine. For those, having my wife use her elbow to put some weight on them made those go away temporarily.
One thing these exercises in this video have done is eliminate those hot spot issues and I haven't had an incident of the pain moving down to my shoulder blade like in the past.
I also just started physical therapy again here a few weeks ago as it's been since 2018 since the last time I had any PT work. One of the things the therapist did on me is a treatment called "Dry Needling". I have never had that done before and it helped a bit. I was skeptical about trying it and my insurance doesn't cover it. But its only $40 so I said what the heck and had her do it. I got immediate results and was able to turn to the left an extra 10 degrees. I had less movement to the left than the right before, and after that 1st dry needing treatment. I was even side to side turning!
After about 5-6 days though it went back to where it was before that. Sadly the 2nd time I it done, it only lasted maybe a day & half? Like I said my neck is pretty messed up. It's always random...
What I have found works the best is a combination of everything. Some days are better than others. These exercises in this video, along with the neck injections I get every 3-4 months and that 1st dry needling have been the best for me. I'm due for another neck injection here soon so the pain had been increasing but thats where these exercises help the best.
If you have any other questions, just ask. I'll try and help with whatever I can.
      I wish you luck!

I was so terrified and extremely saddened when I got this injury. All my workout progress to go down the drain... I got this injury from moving from top of the bar position to hanging position. My neck cinched, and the MRI showed nothing severe, just a bulge between my C4-C5. My nerves were on fire! and couldn't move my neck half an inch in any direction. After two weeks of literal rest all the nerve pain went away but my neck is so stiff. I'm so happy I found this video as it is the key thing in helping me relieve the stiffness (aches and tightness) and pain, and bring mobility back into my neck. It's my daily routine until I feel good enough to get back on to a pull up bar.
I can't thank you enough for making this!

I've iced, heat, stretched, worked out. Not sure what to do but I've watched other videos as well to help with stiff neck, shoulder pain, and traction with a towel. Not sure what to do. It's been weeks.

Mine has been years and nothing has ever helped me till I found Dr Mike's videos. I think it takes time and perseverance. Don't give up. Try as many exercises as you can and when you find those ones that you can feel working, do those more often. Set aside some time every day and really focus on these. I've been doing this for a few days now (also been adding these ones to an album on my channel called "Chiropractic", check it out if you like - I'm having the same issues). They're helping me so much, though I just pushed too hard today and now feel nauseous from the pain, I know it'll be better in 2 days, and if I don't overdo it and keep on, I am convinced he's going to heal these injuries over time. We didn't get to this point overnight, so find your patience and hold on. Keep at it!
