    Don't be jealous man.... he is good player... don't say shit some words... show us the speed like him in your guitar, then judge others. Yet,speed is not everything, but we have to also learn the speed techniques, if you want to be a successful guitarist. Anyway, he is man of some talents. Don't blame/ judge/ or hate him..... Bcs, think urself by placing yourself to MAB. So, our work is to appreciate, not to dominate or give a shit. Rather than scrub urself in ur own ugly face.. Evryone is good.

    Most of you negative trolls have never heard his record from the band Holland on Atlantic Records. Great songs, great playing, everyone written by Michael with the vocalist. Most of you have never heard his solo records either. If you did, your comments wouldn't be so stupid and uninformed. Talking smack doesn't change anything. MAB is a phenomenal player and great songwriter. Also, Guthrie Govan is playing on MAB's new record. Eat that one trolls.

    @StormBlitzM37AL it's basiclly SAROD-PICKING.
    this style of picking was invented in india on the instrument "sarod"
    however it was brought to our culture trough john mcloughlin (i'm not sure if it's spelled correct). The reason this sort of picking is used, is because it doesn't afford as much mation of your and it also protects your joints.
    a great teacher on this tequnice is pebber brown. you'll find him hear on youtube. awsome teacher!!

    its one of his proprietary inventions that spawned out of that double guitar of his. when hes playing with all 19 of his hands and 5 brains, that thing falls down over the strings so any strings that hes NOT tapping or playing are silent for cleaner note passages.

    @InsomniaGuitar well my personal feelings for him is this. Yea ok hes good at guitar, hes pretty fast and shit but u dont need to know how to shred to be a really good guitarist. Whenever he goes out and plays hes like a friggen robot, he wont stop either. He's a fuckin train that has no breaks. Same thing goes with a lot of these other guitarists these days.

    If you just jump into it, you can only absorb so much. His videos are something to refer back to periodically after you've improved a little. He can teach.
    Malmsteen on the other hand has no consideration for anyone with his instructional material. He slows it down to 140 BPM which is just under Iron Maiden speed.

    what you lack is DEDICATION, no virtuoso was born great, they started from nothing!, what if i told you mikey is a lefty, he sucks at playing using his right, but he's eagerness to learn puts him where he stands now, ..he has a really deavastating right hand ..its just hours of practice, your wrong point of view that practicing his exercises once will make you a great player.. it's about working out your weak links and progressing to a new level, I actually learned alot from him

    @Gary1497 Yeah, in all seriousness I'm not saying Batio can't play. It's just that anything I've ever heard him do sounds the same, and has no feel to it. It's almost like a strange anti-music. Some people are into that for the sake of the skill involved, but I'd rather hear musicians of limited ability playing something passionately. That resonates more.

    @StormBlitzM37AL though, I would believe that his technique isn't as exhausting as using the whole wrist. I mean, it looks like he uses only the thumb to move the pick, and that's a lot less muscles than the wrist.

  • @rafael_jimenez
    @rafael_jimenez 13 лет назад

    His dvds help a medium guitarist start playing fast, and developing a good solid technique. But for advance players its not the best thing in the world, though its worth watching just for laughing at him when he tries to be funny :)

    @ALEXTHEALEXNATOR2 well, i wouldnt agree on that but before i go expressing my vision further i would like to ask you first - what do you think is putting soul into playing? bends&vibratos? nah, its easy and everyone does that, even mab. maybe coming up with minor slow arpeggios only? what is really a soul? some mournful side of personality? maybe mab's soul isnt really sad, and he is trying to play metal, not moonlight sonata. explain it to me

  • @sakowihe75
    @sakowihe75 13 лет назад

    @runtodemhills true but satch can play pretty damn fast and he can teach people some things that players like gilbert and batio cant, like how to create a passage instead of copying and how to listen to the melody

    John Petrucci credits MAB and said in interviews he studied his vids. You are the uninformed, overly opinionated one here. I know those guitarists. Look up Goven. GG uses MAB as an example of great picking technique. The video is here on RUclips. Now add Mark Tremonti, Tom Morello, Michael Romeo - all of whom give Michael kudos and immense credit as a guitarist and for helping them. So, they are all wrong but you are the authority. Hahahahahahahaha! Whatever dude!

    @ALEXTHEALEXNATOR2 well, ability to play fast goes as a result of practicing and particularly developing your coordination, syncing your left hand with right, and both hands with beat, you know what im saying? you cant be good guitarist without coordination either. and also, you're not supposed to be playing 80 bpm eight notes only to be a good guitarist too. search for robert marcello - old school here on youtube and propably you will get what i mean. otherwise - well, we have different tastes.

  • @MotionlessPuppet30
    @MotionlessPuppet30 13 лет назад

    @InsomniaGuitar yes of course i know that, im a guitarist myself and its good that u can play fast and shit but its not only about how fast u play, its about putting soul into playing. This is wat micheal angelo lacks. As i said before, hes like a robot that play guitar. Its not that technical or nething, people just want to hear some guy on guitar play 200 bpm and call him a god.

Some days ur feeling sad, some angry, or happy. When i say soul, write wat how u feel. And use techniques as a weapon to put more color into your playing. Im not saying MAB should stop playing music, im saying i dont like him because he tries to be this big metal artist guy if u know wat im sayin.
