    actually he is a great guitar player and a great musician and like you said he sounds like a verry nice person Batio was also voted the No. 1 Shredder of All Time by Guitar One Magazine in 2003 and At the age of fourteen he started playing jazz guitar, and within two years he had won the Chicago-based "All-State Jazz Solo Award". He attended Northeastern Illinois University and achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory and Composition (from wikipedia)

    One thing i have always respected about Micheal Angelo Batio the most, is he is a very humble, and down to earth man...anything i have ever seen the guy on, you don't get the 'ego' vibe off him like you do with Yngwie and some others. He is an incredible guitarist, no question. The best guitarists in my opinion are those whom are forever learning themselves, and willing to pass on the knowledge to others...too many forget they had a 1st day playing too, and look down their noses at new players

    Wow, thank you Michael Angelo Batio. I could never figure out why I was on the ball one day and off the next with alternate picking, and now I know it was because of index finger/thumb movement. Can't believe how effortlessly fast I can play by taking those two fingers out of the equation.

    a lot of classical music pieces sometimes go really fast, lots of notes are played in a row, nobody says it's "not musical." Besides he doesn't always play fast, he also plays slower, more melodic stuff. Now if you're used to listening to rock/hard rock players playing some bluesy licks with distortion, I can understand that it takes some getting used to ;) I like bothe styles. The guy knows what he's doing, cool licks, riffs, awesome player overall and cool dude in life!

    You can hate his style all you want but fact is Batio outclasses technically many if not all of the self proclaimed "virtuosos" who commented here........ I mean just look at some of the odd meter shredding this guy incorporates in his songs!!!!!!!!! Just because you talk some technical bull shakakaka you read in some fusion tone bologna article doesn't mean you can do it. So post a link to your awesomeness after your hater comment so we can see your technique which probably only includes some crappy zeppelin covers and your glorious home made improv jam on GarageBand....... I can't wait......... Point is Batio is cooler than you even with the wig!!!! :D

      Yea when people say that they’re really saying “I don’t like his music”. It’s no different than play X doesn’t lay with “emotion” by that they mean how they define playing with emotion which again actually means”i don’t like that kind of music” they’re just snobs of the music they dream “better”.

    • @MrCholoPants3415
      @MrCholoPants3415 4 года назад +3

      @@russellward4624 Some of it is unconscious jealousy I think lol. I think shred music sounds like shit, but I still practice it because it makes you waaay better at playing everything else. It's simply the hardest stuff that guitar has to offer, even if it all sounds the same. If you can play the shit Batio plays, you can play anything. Learning insane shred songs is probably the fastest way to improve your technical skills.

    • @russellward4624
