Great video! Next time try out a embroidery hoop. Put the grille cloth in the embroidery hoop, get it stretched even and tight, spray some glue on the wood ring you made and set it down on the grille cloth material and let it dry for 20 minutes then you can take it out of the embroidery hoop and continue to fold it around the edges with glue or staples. It comes out perfect.
That is a good idea!
Super 👍👍👍👍
Thanks! Have you ever made your own grills?
smart buy a $ 1000. cutter for a $15.00 speaker grill
My router setup is nowhere near that expensive. But you are still right. A lot of DIY types like to trash people who prefer to buy instead of build. But that's just not realistic. If you're going to make one speaker grill your entire life and then do nothing else with the tools then it makes more sense to just buy the speaker grills.
If you plunged just over halfway thru your wood then flipped it, you wouldn’t be destroying your work surface. And, it’s much easier on your router.
That is a good idea!
Those router bits bite! Gotta be careful 😉
I had another incident a bit later, but didn't get it on camera. I was copying a ring and it got away from me. Imagine a flush trim bit hula hoop!
DIY Audio Guy I’ve almost sent a piece of 1x4 through my garage wall because I didn’t take the time to reinstall the kickback guard...
@@HifiVega the close calls are a gift, we learn to be more careful and we get to keep our fingers!
