Do you need to trim that piece off the engine for the 179mm pulley? I am thinking of getting only this one but don't want to do any other modifications
Hello! Im thinking of doing a single pulley on my b8 s5, would i need to change/upgrade something else besides the actual pulley, belt and a tune? From what i understand only dual pulley setup needs additional upgrades like heat exchanger, hight flow cats, etc? Is it possible to leave everything else stock on a single pulley setup? Thanks!
The general consensus is that the moment you step up to stage 2 (single pulley or dual pulley) you definitely have to remove your stock cats and replace them with test pipes. If you want to add high flow cats it's best to put them a bit more downstream to avoid destroying them from heat. As far as heat exchanger is concerned, for single pulley it is strongly recommended, but you might be able to get away without it if it is colder where you live. Monitor temperatures to make sure they're within a safe range
According to the 034 pulley install guide, "For some 190mm and all 209mm pulleys, some light grinding will be required to make clearance for the larger diameter." So the 179mm pulley requires no grinding. Disregard the question! And I think I also spotted a typo ;)
Hi, I’ve got a colder climate in Wales. I’m thinking of going 187mm crank and 57mm charger pulley. Would this seem a suitable setup for weekend use? It’s also a manual. Cheers

No trimming is required for the 179mm. Some trimming is required for the 190mm and trimming is required for the 207mm.
@@034MotorsportUncut Great! Thank you very much for your help! I will get the 179 mm and run it single then :)

Does the 179mm pulley still require the metal boss to be cut/shaved down by 4mm or so? I know the 207mm wheel does.

It does not require any shaving.

This would be great for weekend use! We'd recommend a Heat Exchanger as well!
Is there a chart of upper pulley 57.7 and lower crank 179mm?
There is one at b8dragracing.com!
The record is 184mm and not 190mm Setup ?
The 190mm kit was not yet released at the time of that run, and was done by a customer whom already had other components installed.
Can i run dual pulley on singel pulley tune stage 2?
It is not recommended to run dual pulley on a Stage 2 tune. We would simply recommend running the Stage 2+ tune.
