sounds sweet. you don;t see many of these fitted in non-Sailboats in the U.S. i am fitting a Kubota 2203 in an old 21 ft aluminum cabin cruiser. Post up some "at speed" videos if you get a chance and list your fuel usage and top speed, propellor specs, gearbox ratio, etc. etc. if you can.
its a displacement hull, "colvic fisher 20" so top speed of 7-8 knots only on this style boat. hurth gearbox 2-1 ratio, uses hardly any fuel/diesel. no idea about the prop.
Hi nice install.... I see you have the standard exhaust manifold. And you have welded a lug tube onto the down section for the exhaust cooling. Did you buy the heat exchanger from lancing marine...
Nice engine!! I have a kubota d782 and i have a hard time with the driving belt. The engine has 150 running hours and i have already change 4 delt due to excessive wear...you have any recommendations?? I would appreciate your answer!!!
Hi, i have a similar configuration (same engine), but cant find an elbow for the exhaust (mixing elbow). Can you tell me what kind of elbow is that? Thanks a lot!
zumafa hi mate. the heat exchanger is a bowman, I think I got it from lancing marine, which is just around the corner from me. I got the ali manifold fitting online, cant recall who from, but I then had it reshaped and a vent welded into it, so as it fits within the confines of my engine box. im still working on the boat, got the rear timber work to do. you might find the info about heat exchanger and manifold, on "practicalboatingforums" as I posted the rebuild, boat and engine on there, and you might get a few clues. its under work on colvic fisher, I think. good luck, and thanks for the remarks.
@@beval7591 The Kubota D1105 is part of the Kubota "05" series, the other engines being the D905, D1005 and D1105 and D1105 Turbo. Supposedly they all use the same block, and accessory bolt up points . The Marine Universal MXPB is based on the Kubota D905... So a Universal MXPB exhaust manifold and everything else should bolt right up to the D1105. I'm looking to swap long blocks and prove it.
I love your conversion. I've pretty much lined up all the parts to convert a D722 but have been having a difficult time locating a bellhousing. Can you tell me where you got yours? Great video. What motor mounts did you use?
Is it an SAE bellhousing? Their website is a bit difficult to navigate. Any part numbers you have for both the bellhousing and adapter plates, flywheel etc. would me much appreciated. You have a beautiful conversion.

This is awesome! I am dying to know where you got your exhaust manifold and heat exchanger? Did you do the marinizing yourself? Wicked cool.

Hi Leo, I got the bellhousing from my local marine suppliers. "lancing marine" portslade, brighton, sussex. uk
Thanks so much. That's been a stumbling block on my pursuing a conversion.

Sae yes, but it had to be adapted to take my hurth gearbox, that's what Lancing Marine did for me. Adapter plates, flywheel etc were with the engine.
