    • @brianhawkins
      @brianhawkins 3 года назад +14

      They'll be reasonable size, but of a swappable design. The types of places these trucks operate are ideal for having a depot to just switch battery packs a few times a day. A small logistics hurdle, well worth the benefits of reduced fuel and maintenance costs as well as faster operation due to the higher power and torque of electric drive.

      Its hard to break these vehicles. It would be an understatement to say they were heavy duty. Some of these have over 130,000 operating hours

    • @westrootsindustries9916
      @westrootsindustries9916  2 года назад +7

      yeah we had a few that were up there around that, we were seeing steel fatigue in our non destructive testing and metallurgy analysis strictly from age/weather combo. Its not hard to break these vehicles though ill disagree whole heartedly with you there! Mainly because the smaller haul trucks like this, are owned by contracting companies that get paid to move the dirt by the volume they move, so most contracting companies load these trucks up so they have an absolute pyramid on the box of them, creating all sorts of carnage for the rest of the war wagon!
