Here in Australia, we also painted a coat of special grease on both edges of the sidewall, so that when you blow them up, the edge facing the outter beading slips making it safer
I worked at a gold mine for 13 years.....after increasing equipment size we eventually got up to the 777s and then the 789s......we had a dedicated tire truck and I have seen them changed many times
seems a small roller might be a quicker way to apply the mounting grease. that tire inflation cage is one of the least expensive i've ever seen. looks safe to me.
Never did them on a 777, but we had a fleet of 793'sand 240 Dressers. We had a stand to raise it up off the ground about 8" and also had a tire handler that could rotate and handle the full assembly after mounting. Still alot of muscle work.
Seems like every third world country does not care about workers safety or working with dangerous material with no approved breathing equipment. While working at the old Whitman’s Chocolate plant back in the 1980's the VP in charge of the lab & quality control ask us to wear dust mask because the small room that they used compressed air to blow fine sugar Froma 20' high tank had a pin hole leak that could not be fixed until that weekend. Asked him why would you need to wear a mask for clean edible sugar. He told me that fine sugar dust is bad for your lungs.
For safety wise, technician didnt wear hard head, ear plugs. No recommended OTR tyre handling machine. Technician himself working under suspended load. No solid barrier done. No designed station for others from line of fire. Anyway, job done safely. Great job out there.
When you say ''Skilled tyre man'' you need look at his skin colour because only a short while ago most americans would not have them in their shop to spend their money.
this video is by design to show assembly of the pieces by order, It is not how it is done......... in the field, we use a Tire truck / boom able to grasp the tire, One man is able to do the job, But on my dirt spreads I always helped the tire man.
i am concerned by their not having an inflation cage for that big tire. If it slips off the rim it could explode like a small bomb. That is a big container for 100 psi air.

Good video. Forklift driver made perfect tire drop. Nice.

Great editing, spliced two beginnings and no end.
You'll be ok, use your imagination.
You dont realise how much work goes into fitting a tyre, great team work by the two boys, i really enjoyed the video.
Glad you enjoyed it
That’s still Quicker than a Kwik Fit Fitter doing a normal car tyre 😂😂

Good video why did we have to watch it twice?
There are 6 tires on each truck
You get TWO for one price.
Impressive video! No crane! Well done, but next time don't forget your safety hats! For the intel tire and rim weight #9000.
Did you see anything that could have fallen on them
Safety hat for what?
I was going to say this didn't look too bad safety wise until I saw dude standing inside the wheel being hoisted.
This guys don't even know what's safety for........😬😬

Bad safe ... Where is your safety helmet bro.

Big shop like that and they dont even have a tire handler?
Don’t look like they have the space for it
These tires handled you.

Why not admire the skill of the forklift driver who despite the odds made a perfect fitment in just one drop? Give credit where it is desired.
@christopheragushitu7555 Safety. Even on a smaller truck like that, those tires and rims are very heavy.
Thank God I will buy some for myself
I didn’t see you put the o-rings on the rim
You didn't watch it well enough. He did.
Yes it popped up right after I posted the message you can see it right below this one
Why not just hit the bead seat band down when hanging on the 4 chains instead of blocking....waste of time blocking it

Better them than me ..they got it done
Most shops change them while the wheel is on the machine

Once the snap ring gets into the grove it won't come out it is forced inward
@@davidcraven277 unless it isnt
Even in the event the rim explodes it is contained by the chains and loader forks.
