Thanks Guys, This is the best flyfishing video I have seen in a long time. you really made me laugh my fool head off while doing some serious flyfishing in some serious wild high country. I had forgotten how beautiful it was up there. I don't think these old man legs and broken body could do what you guys have done but you sure made me remember what I once did. Thanks again and I now look forward to making new plans to forgo the easy close to home waters and revisit the high country once more albeit in old man style. fantastic!
Glad you enjoyed it Wayne! As I'm sure you know from your previous adventures there's still plenty of good fishing opportunity a little closer to the ute 😂 Sounds like Kosciuszko is calling mate! If you're passing through Tumut come and drop into the shop, the boys would be keen to hear what you're up to 👍 Cheers! - Dean
I live and work in Cabramurra and noticed a lot of bloody Comorants on a lot of streams especially around opening of season 😢 awesome content guys keep it up
Kind of a fun video and beautiful scenery, but you can’t in all seriousness tell me these guys are really guides. Fun and upbeat though. I’ll probably watch a couple more
Cormorants smashed yet another river. Fish numbers looked low for such a good section of water. Might be a tougher season this year… but thanks anyway. It will improve again in the years to come.
@ yeah they seem to mostly be gone now which is good - a big flush of rain might help. But it seems pretty slow universally at the moment at least on the eastern side of the range. Fingers crossed it picks up. In the end - it’s a nice place to walk and wave a stick around…
Great work guys. A good reminder that even really experienced fly fishers have to work hard for their fish.
Absolutely!

Love that area, absolutely gorgeous! Haha! Nothing like Mickey's unbridled enthusiasm.
Absolutely beautiful part of the world, Mickey is one of a kind! haha
Beautiful landscape and gorgeous stream. Btw nice music, normally hate music over a tranquil fishing vid but this was a great match
Just realised… Is that from the good the bad and the ugly soundtrack??
Appreciate that Jason 👍 it’s not directly from the GBU but I’m definitely a huge fan of Westerns. Clint Eastwood would’ve caught more fish - Dean
This channel is a real hidden gem
Cheers Wade! 🍻 Plenty more to come
Great adventure and congrats getting this video to pop off! 🎉
Cheers! Glad you enjoyed
My backyard. Great video.
Must have a hefty mower 😂 Cheers Simon

Cheers James glad you enjoyed!
First video I watched and I subbed.

Unreal trip! 😊🤙🏔🎣
A fun one for sure 👍
Great vid as always. Tough fishing so far this season!
Cheers Eamon! Tough start but it’s definitely starting to heat up this week especially in town on the Tumut. It might just be a late bloomer!
True adventure, awesome.
Some cool slide guitar licks....river music.....great video.!
Thanks Keith. We couldn't afford the rights to Muddy Waters
Some great looking water there lads. Great trip.
It was a ripper! Cheers Steven

Nice vid ! Whats the ref of the sun hoodie ?
Mickey and Pat both run the Simms Bugstoper sun hoodies www.tomsoutdoors.com.au/collections/mens-tops/products/simms-mens-bugstopper-hoody
That place was full of fish last time I tramped down there. Hope the bloody cormorants haven't wrecked it! I saw a few.
Awesome video, what setups were you guys running?
Cheers! Mickey was running a Redington Classic Trout 9' 5 weight with a Rio Gold, and Pat was running a Sage Sonic 9' 6 weight with a Rio Grand
@ appreciate the reply!
Very slow this season everywhere. We need rain badly.
Kind of a fun video and beautiful scenery, but you can’t in all seriousness tell me these guys are really guides. Fun and upbeat though. I’ll probably watch a couple more
You better believe it baby 😂
@ 🙂
Hi guys great video. Would you be willing to share where you parked and the location of the walk? Thanks again
what do you guys do for food on these hike in adventures
Freeze dried meals, pre cooked pasta, hard cheese and crackers and a bunch of chocolate bars

Definitely tough fishing but no sign of cormorants that we saw... Would be interesting to try again in a month or so 🤔

Absolutely 👍 you’d nearly do it without a rod… maybe not 😬
Was there in May, lots of cormorants and dead fish. Hopefully recover, and then back to the usual.
@@bengear6283 yeah I was in there last season and there were cormorants everywhere. So frustrating.
....you let dinner go......gee wizz.....
