Makes me sad to see Erin here, looking happy, yet struggling in real life. RIH Erin Moran. I loved you as Joannie. And I will add that I love reunion specials of my favorite shows, and this reunion is by FAR the best reunion special that I have ever seen. They brought as many people as they could, even Arnold and the 2 Chuck's. How wonderful it was to see them all.
Ron Howard is such a humble human being. Even as a wildly successful director, he was always grateful to revisit his roots. Happy Days reunions, Andy Griffith Show reunions...he never felt "above" anything. ❤
This was a show that was never missed. My baby brother was born in 1973. He thought the Fonz was it. He told so many people to sit on it, gave them the thumbs up with a long Haaaaaay. This show entertainment my dad who was born in 1933. Thanks for the great times then and just now. I miss this show so much. We’ve lost many from the show. I’ve cried tears tonight seeing things I haven’t seen in years and because it just made you laugh so hard. This is one of the best shows ever.
Having grown up in the 50s, this is my all time favorite tv show,, along with Love Boat and the Loretta Young Show. Thanks so much for presenting this. I missed Joanie and Chachi getting married, so was really glad to see that part.
I had a fantastic mom but I truly believe I am the parent I am today, not just because of her but because of this show as well. It taught me so much on so many levels. I taught me to be a parent, a friend, a partner, a wife, a mother and so much more. Thank you for being part of life!!!!!
People of today will never be able to fully take in what this show stood for and how great it was and what lessons are taught it was just an all-around awesome show
Yes, very good family show. I'm 54, (old, I know) 😱 watched "Happy Days" growing up, thinking I wished I had a family like this or close friends like them. WOW! 😮 The lessons this show taught me....I cried and laughed at the same time in every episode. Miss this show! 😢💔
Your childhood? lol, my preschool, in the early 80s, was named “Happy Days.” I don’t remember much, other then they having us sing some song about rocking around the clock.
I love. Happy days and fonz I like happy days because it's a good program and a good show to watch I like Arthur Fonzarelli because he's cool very cool and I love the way he smiles is a a love
How can 1 show fill you with tears, life lessons, laughter, and most importantly, the true meaning of LOVE??! ❣️ Thanks Garry Marshall and the whole cast! 💙💙💙
I remember when it first started in 1974! I was in the 5th grade. The final episode aired on my 21st birthday, so I had to see that in later years!I should've stayed home and watched it, because my " bar hopping " that night was a mess, but that's another story!😁
My heart breaks when I see this, because there never never never never will be a good family show like this ever again. Ever. Even todays family entitled shows are never really family shows. Happy Days though displayed what America once was, America is no longer great, America is no longer about family, America is no longer about being together being with friends or family , about being together period. America is about being poor, about being robbed from the government about struggles and hard times...its like we went backwards. Man to go back to those days...
I am 51 years old and grew up watching Happy Days so this was great to watch. Also I am an Elvis fan since the early 1970's so it was great to hear Elvis singing Memories at the end.
Gary included them all in the show. Many cast reunions with an interviewer focuses on the main character(s) and the others just sit and smile. He has a connection with them all and made it more special.
It sometimes has to do with availability. Actors can have busy schedules. And when _Mary Tyler Moore_ did a reunion show, Ted Knight was dead, for example.
I loved watching happy days never stop watching it still running. Still watching reruns loved every episode. Love this reunion. Can’t believe it’s 30 years it’s awesome to watch this. Thank you for sharing this 30th anniversary.
Happy Days is still my favorite sitcom, when I was a kid growing up I always acted like the Fonz. My parents have pictures of me with both thumbs up. With my red hair I looked more like Richie than the Fonz lol. I still love watching Happy Days, it's timeless and it's a true classic. They don't make shows that good anymore, most sitcoms are filled with politics and get on my nerves
Grew up with this show absolutely loved it and watched episode after episode had my first leather jacket because of Fonzie, just a great show of what family is supposed to be like. Ty for all the great years, Rip toErin Moran , Gary Marshall, and Tom bosley
Such an incredible show. So many memories. Doubt this kind of impact from a show can ever happen again. That last shot, Fonzi turning off the lights one last time, gave me goosebumps. Thanks for uploading this.
I was 11yo to 16yo and still at Grammar School when this was shown on British TV 1975 to 80, my whole family got addicted to Happy Days, and everyone at school talked about it, many boys modelled themselves on Fonzie, we loved the 50s Rock & Roll music too. I grew up dancing to Elvis and R&R music at family parties and Happy days just added more fun to the dull 70s , so its a big thank you to all the HD cast & Team for great laughs and memories , God bless Garry, Tom and dear Erin.
What a great reunion.. its fantastic to see what happens behind the scenes and to know why certain episodes came to be. Happy Days thanks for the wonderful memories.👍🏼
I am 72. I loved, loved.loved Happy Days. ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for this 30th reunion. 😘 I will never stop smiling when ever I see "HAPPY DAYS."
Always superb, what made this show was it was warm, funny & the cast worked so well together. 50s America was a million miles away when I used to watch in the UK, yet, the stories & the way it was presented connected like few TV shows ever did. Growing up with this show did make you feel you were part of their family. Fine acting, great comedy and so worthy of the status as one of the finest shows ever made. RIP to the fine actors and actresses that have passed since this reunion was filmed.
Wow this certainly brought back great memories not just of the show but how life was back when I watched the show as a kid/ teenager , thanks for sharing.
I love this more and more each time I see it. One notable person waa missing and that was Al Malenaro. I think he passed away before this special was shot. I remember being heartbroken 💔 when I heard of Erin Moran's passing from mouth and throat cancer. RIP Joanie and others from this sensational show who have left us happy.😊♥
A wonderful show. My all-time favourite with great writers and an incredible cast. It taught me morals, manners and respect. There will never be another programme like Happy Days.
Rest in peace Gerry Marshall, Jerry Parris, Pat Morita, Al, Tom Bosley, Erin Moran, and I believe one of the Chuck Cunningham actors passed away, too. Also Penny Marshall, Cindy Williams, and Robin Williams.
@@TimmyJamesDafunnyMan same.......that and the welcome home part when Richies leaving and he's thanking Fonz..I cry at that part when Fonz says he loves Richie. I was 17 in HS but was always home when Happy Days was on.

Gavan O’Herlihy (Chuck#1) is passed now, too, and also Garry’s sister Penny Marshall (Laverne Defazio). And Cindy Williams (Shirley Feeny) passed just last winter. RIP to all.
A time less show on 🌎 earth. "Happy Days" always watched can be found watching this show. From deciding to go to activitie night at the church or other things, I came home on Tuesday night at 20:00 hundred hours to set and watch a great show. ♥.

Thanks for the memories from my growing up years. I loved Happy Days, it was such an inspirational show. I think everyone I knew watched it too. I was always glued to the goggle box, and the intro had me there from the 1st note!
Not long before Happy Days ended in 1984, my mother passed away. We said goodbye to her, then to Happy Days. Two parts of my childhood gone at once. This is so interesting to watch!

The show hit when I was an impressional tween and was a huge part of my childhood. So were the spin off shows. These memories are very emotional and seeing this reunion always makes me cry. So many have listed those who are no longer with us... Tom Bosley was as close to a father than I ever knew.
I have all the dvds and rewatch them many times over. Happy days will never get old. It's timeless and I still LMAO today! Though it was like something was missing when Ron Howard and Don Most left. Ritchie was the central character, more than Fonz i think

Hey all caps guy have similar thoughts. Things just hit us at the right time I guess. I admire Marshall for being honest about this and for letting Howard editorialize a bit on that. It was in part one maybe of this two part. I can't truly understand why Marshall did this thing but I'm glad he did.
Amazing stuff that we at home wouldn't have ever known about. To imagine that it had such a huge success.i loved it because I was born in the fifties and yet I only heard of those days and saw the cars
"Charles in charge" was a great family show. Scott played Charles who moved in with a family to help them out. I alao liked him in "Look Who's talking", the series from the movie of the same name. He played a handyman for the mother of the talking baby.
Makes me sad to see Erin here, looking happy, yet struggling in real life. RIH Erin Moran. I loved you as Joannie. Chuck was only on for a minute. He really wasn't funny and he was boring. So, who cares??! 🤷♀️
I once missed a activity night in church on a Tuesday to see Happy Days. Best show to have grown up in the 70s. Set in the 50s.
