No one liked Veteran besides Myke, I doubt they would all be on one accord and want to review it even though the album is way less abrasive than Veteran
I think Post Malone is pop but pop now just has trap/modern hip-hop elements. Just like how 90s pop still had new jack swing or break-beat samples like the hip hop of the time but it was still pop.
I think his last album has better songwriting. This album sounded like he just wanted a quick buck from the sound he took from the song “Sunflower” because it was on the Spiderman movie and it went #1 on the charts
I kinda felt the same. And he threw all his singles since then onto the album. I know he can do better. It wasn't awful, but I wanted something better than b&b that kept refining that sound he's had since Stoney or even before.

I don't think this should've been a review. The concept Kinge was talking about, in terms of "Hip-Hop gatekeepers" should've been a CONVERSATIONS episode, rather than a review of an album y'all HAD TO KNOW you wouldn't like. I've been riding with yall for a long time, and will continue to, but the way to came off like "why would anybody else think this is good" vibe is insulting to a degree. Having said that, y'all are doing the damn thing with DEHH Studios and network. You're a template for folks like me and so many others. I'm excited to see the growth!

I absolutely love all 3 albums Post Malone has released. Hollywood is bleeding is hot. 17 tracks and I their was only 1 song I didn't care for. My favorite 2 songs are Take what you got ft Ozzy and Travis Scott and Hollywood is Bleeding. Posty may have come out labeled as a hip hop artist but he never considered himself that. He didn't want to be considered one genre over another. He worked hard to find his own sound and blur the lines. I like artists who don't make albums and songs to fit a particular genre. Labels like hip hop, rap, rock, metal are no longer relevant in this day in age. In my opinion.
An album only having a few good tracks doesn’t matter to a lot of people since people don’t listen to albums they just get a few songs off the album for their playlists.
Post Malone used to wear booty shorts and sing 'why dont you love me'. Its on youtube.. facts! Then he wore cane rows, put in some grills and decided to start profiting from hip hop
The best thing about Post Malone is his vocals in my opinion. He’s a great vocalist. I agree with Feefo the most here, every album has about 5 great songs but the rest don’t match up, but the 5 songs are always fIre. Saint Tropez has goofy lyrics but it’s fire overall if you don’t analyze the words, but not everyone can do that. Also Young Thug killed his feature too.
I think this is his best project so far. He's definitely mastered this formula for creating catchy pop trap perfect-for-radio songs. Best bangers/fillers ratio. Nice features. Never going to listen this album again, but it wasn't a bad experience for me.
I understand that they think the music is ass, but how can you not even comprehend the appeal of it? It's catchy and hooky trap-pop music. It's the perfect formula for a radio hit every time
I don’t get how you guys don’t understand the appeal of post Malone. He’s literally doing what everyone else is doing. Auto tune melodic stuff over a trap beat. He’s just incorporating different sounds on this album. I do agree with the structure of the songs point where you don’t know which is the hook and stuff tho.
Post malones over arching theme is usually love songs he's usually great at those this wasn't his best by any means but it was still good overall in my opinion. To me he sounds just like Travis Scott except white and he has a great ear for beatz that fit his pop and rock sound with a slight mixing of a bit of hip hop.
I do have a hunch that Ken had a preconceived bias before listening to the album. Post Malone’s comments about “don’t go to hip-hop for lyrics” probably rubbed him the wrong way.
