Fantastic Ross Lake presentation, Donna 👍 Looks really excellent! Thank you so much for the visit! Keep up the great work Friend! Have a good week ahead 🥰
Nice to see the lake and the wildlife, Donna. Cool tour of the area. When I first read Flin Flon, I thought of a flim flam. LOL. Cool adventure. Thanks for bringing us along. Take care.
Love the look of this mining history video Donna. Will catch it when we're back home. We're back out camping in afield with patchy Internet and having to save phone battery . Leaving a like in advance 🙂👍
Enjoy watching and listening......what a lovely place, really like to watch wild animals while I was walking or hiking 🚶♀️. Thx for sharing Donna 🙏 ⚘️ 😊! God bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️ 💖.
My first time hearing about Flin Flon - thank you for the history and also the wonderful views of the Loon - a favorite bird of mine with its soulful call. Best regards, Cathy
Dear Donna Thank you for your enchanting film. Ross Lake is a great place to relax, but only if you are dressed warmly enough. The lake has a wonderful deep blue color. Warm greetings, Anita
I agree, always dress for the weather, and personal comfort! What's warm to one person is not necessarily warm to the next. The eddy I showed on the one end of the lake was like a wind tunnel as the bushes were channeling all the wind. Thank you so much for watching Anita!
That was a beautiful place and Donna and I loved hearing a little about the history . Such a cute common loon enjoying the lake on a hot/ cold day depending on if you listen to you two or the man on the bike wearing a t shirt 😃 Now I want ice cream after hearing you mention it :) Thanks for that, it was beautiful as usual :) ~ Anna
Thank you Anna! Very glad you enjoyed it. It was fun discussing how tough Flin Flon residents are! As Canadians it's always a fun debate which people where have the worst weather to contend with. Have a great day!
The scenery of this lake is so beautiful and fantastic! The story is really interesting. Your creation is really great. Thanks for the wonderful sharing👍👍👍
Hi, my best friend, this lake-roth trail is beautiful, and I appreciate you for explaining the mine history of Flynn Flon and the origins of the city's name.
Windy day on the lake Donna. I enjoyed the history of how the rocks were formed by volcanos. Love learning. About the mining history there too. Funny how you were both having a laugh on how warm it was? Lol…it looked cold! Nicely done. 👍😊🇨🇦
Thank you so much Christine! It's interesting how mining is such a crucial industry in our northern towns. I was quite amused by how Lyndon felt so cold. With my bike-riding to work I think I'm a little more used to the cold, but it was still a bit brisk! And definitely not ice cream weather!
That was such a lovely video Donna, I really enjoyed the ambience of watching the loon on the water. Interesting name for a town and I agree, it’s fun to say. 😊😉 wonderful video 😊
Hello! This is one of the best videos I have seen today! keep uploading such great videos. I look forward to more of your videos my friend. stay connected! 👍
What an unusual name: Flin Flon. Lovely area. I could almost feel that breeze brrrrr! Nice to have had the sun accompany you on your walk. Interesting facts. Nice video. Have a wonderful week. 👍 😎 🇳🇱 🙋♀️ 🇳🇿
Beautiful cloudy sky, flin flon place looks beautiful and full of Nature, and soothing view, cute Water Bird 🐦, You've choosed soothing music 🎶🎵 Beautiful place and beautiful video 🙏😊 Great work my friend 👍You have Great Weekend 🙂
Thank you so much Dinesh! I always liked Flin Flon even though its a mining town. I think I mostly just like the rocks. Have a great day and I wish you a Happy Canada Day!

Thank you, Donna. I had heard the name Flin Flon before, but it was nice to hear a little bit of Canada's history as we followed along. The Loon was the cherry on this walk, I'm sure. Joan
I remember there was an old NFB clip on the origins of Flon Flon's name. The image of Flintabbety exploring the bottom of a lake in a submarine always struck my imagination. But yes, seeing the loon was wonderful. Thank you for watching Joan!
Donna, that was beautiful, interesting to hear and seeing the loon was so awesome, I still haven't seen one in real. I would love to hear them call one day too. It looked chilly, so I would be bundled up as well and not want ice cream, LOL. That was funny.
Hi Donna!! Great history! What a mouthful to pronounce 😅 Loved the metal lids for the pipes in the sidewalk!! And the duck on the lake was so beautiful!!! Hahahaha it does look chilly there, not sure it’s ICECREAM weather, I’m with you!! 🤣🌳🌷💐
Flin Flon, it is indeed fun to say haha thank you for this little story and for showing us around! I loved the views and the common loon was very cute! Wonderful video and I look forward to seeing more! New friend and supporter here!
Lol, sometimes simple is best. This took me about a minute to set up and film, but using Google would have taken me probably about 10! It's a great area for a walk.
I have put a thumb up for your new video. A new masterpiece 👏👏👏 I think of a part of my family I lost who lived in Coleman. If one day you go in Coleman, that will be great you make a video. Coleman is a very small town. I wish you a beautiful day filled with joy and happiness
Thank you Marjorie! Coleman looks like it's quite far south, but if I find myself heading that way I will definitely check it out! It looks like it could have a few fun things to look at. Hope you are well.
Oh my goodness! What an incredible place! You got some incredible lion footage too! The only I think that I’ve ever seen one was on Chickamuaga Lake in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I love the polka dots on their neck! The greenery and the lake is so pretty!
You do such a great job on your videos Donna,, I like learning the history in your area. Flin Flon looks like a nice little down. The Smoke Stack sure was tall. We have some old Smoke Stacks here near the Old Mill Towns. Thats so cool about the under water volcano!! WOW sure looked cold for the end of June. I know what you mean about the wind, I have a "Dead Cat" for one of my cameras but when we go to the Ocean,, you can always hear the wind thou. Sometimes its so loud I have to replace the audio with music. I keep hoping for a not so windy day so my Husband can record the ocean waves with his sound recorder then I can use it in future videos. OH how nice to see Loons! I'll always remember my first Loon,, It was about 20 years ago.. my Uncle took us up to his Cabin in Maine.. OH how I loved hearing the Loons call. Since then I have seen Loons in a few other places but not to often. Its always a special treat. Happy Canada Day!! Brenda
So your saying we should bring our jackets with us, Donna? We're looking forward to seeing this beautiful area. Loved seeing the loon though your new zoom lens. I'm hoping my brother joins us on our trip. He has a lot of great camera equipment and I can steal his photo's and video! Thanks so much for bringing us along.
It should be warmer when you visit but I would definitely be prepared for some cool evenings. The more the merrier! And yes, other sources of footage is definitely a good thing.
What a beautiful lake! Love the boardwalk. That sure looks windy for the loon haha, he seems to still be content though! Does look like a chilly day haha! Too cold for a tshirt lol!
Wonderful 😍😍 I love Flin Flon. I mean I’ve never been there but what a superb name - unforgettable!! And the Loon is beautiful. They are called Great Northern Divers over here We were hoping to see them in Scotland but didn’t see any unfortunately That did look cold Donna - did you film this recently?
Hi Dave! Thank you so much! This was part of our trip to visit family in Manitoba and this particular day would have been June 3. They had snow earlier that week (which is typical of the area) so we were a little apprehensive we would end up driving in a flurry. Loons/divers are so amazing to see. Too bad you didn't get to see any but maybe next time. Have a great weekend and Happy Canada Day!
I'm still surprised that guy could ride his motorcycle in 14C and with a tee shirt. Certainly cooler up there.
Me too, everyone ordering ice cream was still the icing on the cake though.
Fantastic Ross Lake presentation, Donna 👍
