I was born in Flin Flon and now live in Calgary.I have relatives in The Pas, Flin Flon and Prince Albert. I return every summer to Flin Flon and camp at the Flin Flon campground where the Flinty statue is. We always take in the drive-in at Big Island.. We saw Cruella this summer. ;) Thanks for the video and putting a plug in for this beautiful area.
You're more than welcome! I truly enjoyed the rugged beauty of the Flin Flon area - Canadian Shield country at its finest. I'm glad to have brought you back to the area - thanks for watching!
@@DrifterDave I was born in Churchill and raised from 3 months old in good old Flin Flon. Yes, rescued and adopted. Was in Churchill once in my adult life. Incredible and hauntingly beautiful area with their mean little trees and rolling tundra. . June 1990.

Nice lakeside retreat, but that's some serious KM you did on this trip!
Gotta make it worth the drive! 😎 And, it was a bit of a challenge to myself to push my old Toyota to the limit (sitting at 390,000 km right now!)
I was born in Flin Flon Manitoba and raised in Creighton Saskatchewan
Awesome! The landscapes west of Creighton on that remote highway were surreal. Definitely not what you'd expect from 'flat Saskatchewan'.
OMG Nice place my friend 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you! 🤗
I’m from flin flon :) thanks for the vid! Flin-ta-bat-E flon-a-ton is how it’s pronounced 💜
Thank you for the clarification! You live in a pretty beautiful part of Manitoba 😍
I live in Calgary now.
Me too! Always great to meet another Calgarian on the channel 👍
Well the Hanson Lake Road is still as rough as ever. Spent a lot of time at Limestone Lake so know the area well.
It was quite the ride! 😎
Will you be going to Churchill, Manitoba?
That's a few videos back! Check out episodes 3 to 5 of this series 😎

It the city of Flin Flon!
I never get really caught up with the distinctions - definitely a town-sized city, in this case!
Flin Flon is named after a science fiction character.
Interesting!!

Very interesting! I'll have to check it out!
Flin Flon is beautiful. Sad to see so many graffiti on the roadway rocks.
Yes, it definitely has a rougher side! Beautiful setting, however.
it is pronounced ath-a-path-a-scow
Thank you for the clarification!
