Human Rights issues get resolved in the courts after some parliament or legislature pass laws that MAY offend a human's rights. The poll is informative .. but 'liberal democracy" has guard rails. 80 percent in a poll might support ending something YOU value.

Judges in Canada at all levels are appointed and not elected so they're incentivized to tow the party line, the narrative, and honor this code even if it's demonstrably harmful. Today, yet another repeat rapist was released from prison in Alberta and relocated to Vancouver granted 'day parole' on the promise of 'good behavior.' It also coincides with this "men in women's change rooms should be normalized" nonsense. How is this controversial?? As a biological women and as a mother of a biological daughter we have the right to feel safe and secure in the most vulnerable public spaces such as change rooms/washrooms, Charter of Rights and Freedom specifies this.
Everyone should be able to feel safe and protected and not just one sub set of the population, be given preferential treatment over the rest.
