  • This was a lot easier than it seemed like it was going to be. I am removing the front bumper to install a hellcat airbox conversion on my 2018 scatpack. I am hoping this mod will net me cooler intake air temperatures.

Thank you very much for the video, I have followed your steps and straight forward I removed the front bumper and installed a new grill on my Charger. Guys whoever is planing on doing this it is so easy? I have never done it before and I was scared to do it during the whole process of removing stuff, but nothing to be scared off, just please make sure you got a car jack, two jack stands, trim removal tool. You definitely want to remove the wheels, even then that undercarriage plastic is pain in then ass. I just want to add one thing about this tutorial, undercarriage below the engine you do want to take all of the trim nails but you do not need to remove 4 screws he pointed, just remove first 2, because the other two are holding the plastic that is not connected to the bumper at. You will give yourself just extra two steps taking that plastic off and putting it back in for no reason. Other than that, great video and thank you again

I’m actually working on a hellcat look for my Dodge Avenger. I’m building a concept car at the moment. I’m calling it the Dodge Grimlin
    It’s a 2010 Dodge Avenger:
    - Adding the 2016 Dodge Charger headlights.
    - A hell cat style bumper that is going to be shaped and molded to fit the avenger
    - adding a 423 hp v6 engine.
    - re arranging the battery location
    - updating the computer
    - adding back up camera
    - a 3-d printed mold of the charger side aesthetic
    - fwd to rwd conversion

Does anyone know if all everything is the same throughout the trims mounting wise? I have a basic SE that the middle of the fascia is sagging down and need it replaced. I figured if I’m replacing it, if I can, I’d put a Sportier looking bumper on it. Try to make it similar to a GT. I also need to do the same to my damaged Rear bumper fascia.

Ramiro Govea you would have to get one for a 2015 and up. The body changed in 2015. I don’t know about the R/T but I’m fairly sure the scats are three separate parts if you need the entire thing. I would go to the dealer with the VIN and ask then for a price on them, the ask the to print it out. Then you will have your part numbers to look for elsewhere.

@@KnightsGarage Thanks for the reply. After seeing your video one more time, I realized there are two pieces (bumper one and the belly), I am looking for them now but I will take your advice about going to the dealer. Thank you!

The two bolts that are way deep further under the fender that attach the front cover. Three on each side. two of them were easy. one was very unfriendly on each I tried so hard to get them out. I finally was able to use a torx 25 on the driver side bolt and a 10 mm 1/4 drive socket on the passenger side. And all this while tearing up my arms and hands. You just did not show how to get them out, you only showed where they were. Which was helpful, but for an ammetuer like me...Dammnn. Your video helped me out. I am not upset, just wish there was more detail on how to get the tough ones out. I was able to replace both lights. Thanks..

@@danomano1423 with the wheels off and the inner fender pulled out. I just used a quarter inch drive ratchet with a 10 mm socket along with a 10 mm wrench. I want to say I broke it loose with a wrench and then took it on out with the ratchet. But this video is a few years old so I can not remember totally.

too late now, but if you take an extra 10-15 min total (for both sides not each)and remove the fender liners...than it's gravy to reach hardware and connectors...either way, you crushed it

Only R/T's that have the mopar aftermarket intake, the T/A or the daytona have an open air filter from the factory. Not all R/T's come with it.
