  • Pretty much uncharted waters. Besides the video from spectrum themselves, I'm sure further explanation. As people get their hands into this will cover most things that are not covered but I gave you a good look at it so you don't have to be scared. I tried it first. You can follow my procedures. I go step-by-step and you can get yours upgraded. And then worry about the details of setting it up afterwards. I did do a complete setup so you should be able to get something from what I did. But the evidence of the upgrade is definitely there and I feel to be worthwhile. Especially for more complicated setups, especially if you have something with a front wheel. That you would like to have the gyro on I know I've had plenty of setups that I wish I had a gyro on cause. Jets don't want to keep straight on the runway.Also, the hand launch assist that should be priceless

    Thank you, for the video. I set up two planes to test tomorrow with AS3X+. The first one I couldn’t get the safe setup. Watched your video and I ended up having to restore the receiver again in forward programming and then I could get the correct menus to setup safe. Thanks

      @@kenmeidinger1456 it is a big glitchy I think you should update the receiver again meaning hook it up to the computer The check to make sure that the update stuck Make sure that you're on the version number that I ended up on in the video because if you didn't do it twice then it would not automatically go it would have to be manually put in a second time in order go from v2 to v3 then the firmware.
      Please start the video from the beginning press pause and go to step by step I've checked it three or four times myself for accuracy I think if you do it exactly as I show and pay attention to what your computer says you'll get it please post back and keep me updated on the progress if need be I can post another video covering any section of it that you're questioning

      I have two planes set up so far. Flew them on Sunday and they flew great. Dialed back the gains to half or a bit less. Then captured the gains.

      Hey I recommend doing a factory reset a 100 percent of the time regardless of the situation just to make sure you have everything good don't worry your old setup will be saved anyway if you ever needed it which I doubt you will

      @@Reptielenfreak I don't see why that would be a necessity because some receivers don't have AS3X but they are 14 to 20 channels and you could upgrade to those without any AS3X at all, haven't had a chance to investigate it but I'm sure it's in the radio somewhere it can't be based on the receiver as long as it's more than the 10 channel you have on an NX10, I dug into the nose wheel gyro today I will try to figure out the 20 channel expansion tomorrow perhaps if you figure it out though drop me a comment

    4X sensitivity would be high for most EDF. I currently use 1x for EDF and 2x for props. Curious how well the steering gyro works.

    • @Pooley929
      @Pooley929  Месяц назад +1

      @notoo7 Hey I prefer to use the 4X because I have it on the knob and you can dial it down from 0 to whatever and it is way easier to see when you whip that knob to full and just check your AS3X prior to a flight, whereas if you put it on 1X it barely moves and you can barely see it? That's the only reason I hardly ever turn it up past a quarter of the way, which is probably about 1X l o l
      On the steering gyro, I'm curious about it myself. I'll have to figure out what airplanes I have. That I can even try it on as I'm not a real big tricycle wheel person, but on my EDF's that are extremely hard to take off. That may be the perfect, precise location, for it. As soon as I can get some time away from work, i'm gonna try that out
