  • Set up the hand launch assist as well as the AS3X plus nose gear gyro on a bird with tricycle landing gear that I had issues taken off with what's the aircraft under power it was good until the nose wheel got too light and lifted off the ground slightly so then you're on your own if you're not appointed straight and it would veer off our runway every time I almost feel like it's unpowered it cannot get past this issue even if you full throttle from the first instant, hopefully this will help

    i have a freewing BAE Hawk 70mm that is such a squrrel on takoff off grass at our club,i have a ar631 installed and i have the IX14, would the AR631 be enough channelwise to do this? im very interested

      @Pooley929  20 дней назад

      @@jack78_ Yes this Gyro is internal no extra channels needed on the Rx all you need to do is update the AR631 look for my video on that process then activate it probably with the default settings and if that doesn't help start treeking the settings to your bird and the iC14 should do fine you could even assign the gain to a slider or the knob😃

      Likewise a 70 Bae Hawk which likes to depart the runway at 90 degrees. Fingers crossed this sorts it out.

      @@notoo7 exact same thing happened with me I brought that f-18 out there but the wind was whipping so bad I had UMX A5 and it was literally full throttle and not even moving The gusts were crazy so I decided to not fly it even though I was so anxious to try it

      So far I have successfully tested the nose wheel gyro on a FMS F16 70mm and Freewing F-22A 90mm. The improvement waa more noticeable on the Freewing F-22 90mm.

    Thanks for your video but this feature is unnecessary and/or confusing, in my opinion.

      LOL I totally agree But what I have experienced is that it does the opposite of the rudder which in theory should work I haven't had a chance to test it.

    I wonder if reverse can work on a tail dragger

    • @Pooley929
      @Pooley929  Месяц назад +1

      @notoo7 I was thinking the same thing cuz you do have the option to reverse it

    • @Scairborne66
      @Scairborne66 Месяц назад +1

      think: Nosewheel is not tailwheel. You've already got the "Rudder" setup accomplished when you conducted the initial programming. You can add "some" heading gain to your Rudder (Yaw axis) for a particular flight mode (i.e. FM1 for take offs/landings) but use sparingly. If you activate heading hold to your rudder in flight (with your other flight surfaces active) you can have some serious issues. Like Pooley929 describes, always have an "OFF" switch option. Cheers!

      @@Scairborne66 Yes I don't want to be caught in the air with a gyro correcting in the same direction I'm going to making me want to crash at every turn and not have it off switch
