You, Steve, and the other FrSky reviewers need to put their product through the paces, let you collaborate writing the manual and communicate what is needed on firmware and GUI!
Very helpful. Thanks! When calibrating, have you tried not having the connectors/wires for ANY port placed against the calibrating surfaces? Its also a good idea to have something vertical to calibrate against rather than using a handheld tray edge for reverence approach. Alignment within the model seems to also be very important. Anyway, its a good idea to calibrate on a known level horiz/vert surfaces before attaching the calibrated rcvr to any trays and then deal with offset alignment placement issues using autolevel options in the transmitter config. At least that way you know the rcvr calibration is as true as it can be before dealing with the question of how well the axies/orientation of the reciever are aligned with those of the model.... not to mention any trims or surface alignment issues that are added into the mix!
When will FrSky release product with fully prepared firmware, manual, and working like such? I loved my S6R in a Corsair, and the R9 STAB in a Ranger 1600. But both crashed when I didn't disengage the setup switch which I engaged by accident in flight. The R9 Stab did an uncontrolled full throttle ripping the motor from the plastic mount of the Ranger and nearly getting me. I found a cap had fallen off one of the pcb inside the case. Nowadays I am sure it is easier and cheaper to put a SpeedyBee FC and an ELRS rcvr and setting it up to whatever level wanted.
Question: In the SRX Stable LUA script, what "Mounting Type" should be selected if the receiver is mounted inverted, but otherwise as shown in the manual? Had my first flight today using a TW SR8 and had some problems even though it was calibrated and did the self-check.
@@AndrewNewton Just to close the loop on this. FrSky Ben gave me the answer, that yes, "Horizontal Reversed" does in fact mean inverted. It's poorly worded and/or documented.

Yes their instructions, website and user interfaces all need improvement. But I'm not volunteering for the job.
Thanks Andrew 👍💪✌

Excellent points thanks
This would be awesome on my spec racing wing especially for those bumpy days!
Oh yeah!
Boa noite meu amigo Andrew, muito bom os seus vídeos, aqui no Brasil são 21:42 horas da noite!
Good evening Brasil!
You need to be level left to right also, instead of redoing the self-check it has the option in the receiver to adjust the flight trim.

Not only FrSKY. SpeedyBee had very similar premature-release problems with both Wing boards.
@@AndrewNewton Ah. We are the Beta testers.
We would like to see how the knife edge and hover modes work, please. 😊
Bet you do!
Thank you!
Welcome!

Where did you get the gimbal boots?
